I'm writing this before watching your take on the movie, so I may have more to say afterwards just because NotLD means so much to me. I saw this film at a drive-in in 1972 or 73 when I was 8 years old. Because the film featured news bulletins that seemed life-like to an 8 year old, I thought what was happening on screen as I watched from the back of our station wagon was real. But at the same time, my confused mind knew it couldn't be. So it was all pretty surreal. You'd think I'd have been scarred for life, but no - I was absolutely fascinated. This began my obsession with monsters and monster movies. It's a film I watch every Halloween.

My favorite zombie movie of all time because it was the granddaddy of them all. Another reason is that I worked at a movie theatre that had a midnight showing of Night Of The Living Dead and they handed out pieces of Kentucky Fried Chicken to the audience so they could be eating the chicken while the zombies were eating human flesh! Pretty cool, eh? Great review, Liam!
Hahaha that's brilliant! I wish that I was there at that screening! Two of my favourite things! 😂 apparently it was hard-work for the zombie actors during those scenes as the blood is chocolate syrup.. not the best combination with chicken legs 😂
Great classic. George Romero also worked on Creep-show and had a part in one of the Call of Duty video games, along with Danny Trejo, Michael Rooker, Robert Englund, and Sara Michelle Gellar. That's pretty good company! He also inspired other films. Zack Snyders' re-make of Dawn of The Dead is amazing! There's also Return of The Living Dead, which is a cult classic. If you haven't seen it, you've got to watch it. Great content!!!
Creepshow may be one of my favourites from the 80's and Return of the Living Dead is one I've seen many a time! Romero truly changed everything with this little independent movie!

Although the movie was very profitable, it wasn't a money maker for Romero. Research the trademark error made when the film was renamed and released. Nice review on one of my favorite movies of all time. Thank you!
