One of the most celebrated and iconic sneakers of all time made its return for the first time since 2015. The Air Max III (or as it's more commonly referred to as the Air Max 90) released last week in its original colourway to much anticipation from sneakerheads worldwide. Built as closely to the originals from 1990 as possible, these incorporate mesh, suede and leather with a recrafted shape creating a very sleek appearance overall. I think lots of you folks don’t realize the originals from the 90s were in fact comfortable. Nike just changed their rubber compound to make them last longer. Nowadays, Nike seems to have perfected it, thus we’re treated with similar or better comfort as the true OGs. Old-heads know this, I’m sure.

Fun fact, the whole shoe is synthetic leather the suede all that is synthetic, how you can tell is if you look on the cut is just plastic, as this shoe was made for running so light weight materials such as synthetic leather was used

Not sure if you’ve been following the thread but the OGs were never labeled “Hyvent Orange”. That description comes from a bad sole collector article/writer that incorrectly references “hyvent orange” as the original color and there is no bases to that statement. The original color was labeled “radiant red” or “Rad Red”. That’s were Nike’s description of this cw comes from. “Hyvent Orange” was pulled out of someone’s ass in a sole collector article in the mid 2000’s and clearly to this day it still causes confusion. “Hyvent Orange” was never an official color for this shoe. You will not find “Hyvent Orange” on any of the original boxes. It’s a bad myth.

Thanks for the clarification! I got the confirmation direct from a Nike website (www.nike.com/gb/launch/t/airmax-90-inside-the-vault-magdi-fernandes), so whoever wrote up that article must’ve gotten got by the SC article?! Crazy how bad info spreads haha.

2015 Infrared color closer to OG. 2020 shade is more of a pink/coral color.

I do not agree. OG color will forever be in memories since fluo redish colors like these fade and change a lot in contact with light & elements, and the chemicals used in 1990 are probably banned now. What is called Infrared has always changed through the years (remember the Jordan 6 2014 that was really pink ?). Now, since it's the 30th anniversary release and that Nike has put a lot of effort to bring this pair the closest one we've ever seen true to to the OG, I think the color is on point. But I accept your preferences ;)

The QC on my pair was absolutely awful. Globs of glue and horrible creasing and misplaced front toe panel. Going straight back to Nike. Surprised you can stay TTS they run short imo.

Maybe you're wearing the wrong shoe size or don't know you're actual size because Air Max 90's are true to size.

@@S-2623 no I am wearing the right size. I have a wide foot, by going half up it relieves the width problem. Also QC on Nike is abysmal. For example measurement on my laser blue at TTS length wise is the same a .5 size for my radiant reds. So you are wrong, they clearly aren't producing every shoe perfectly the same. Hence why Sean Go himself goes a .5 size up on many AM1.
