This video describes the legal procedure to obtain state and federal licenses
if you live in california you need a coe/ffl03
reasons to get a coe/ffl03

I got these documents recently myself. The process is easy and cost me approximately $150. The largest expense was the Live Scan prints for the COE. The FFL03 cost is $30 with no fingerprints or photo needed. Take your time and read all the instructions on the forms to ensure they're filled out properly. Everything took about 30 days to process and be issued. California DOJ will ask for your FFL number when applying for your COE. You are NOT required to provided them this number. Ask them to show you a law/code requiring you to provide your FFL number or tell them "my FFL03 is in process and has not yet been issued. Please continue to process my COE application accordingly".

Idaho here. I feel for gun owners in CA. I have gun owning friends in CA and follow your videos. It's disgusting what gun owners have to go through over there. When my friends visit I always take them to local gun shops and they're amazed at what's for sale here. Also take them shooting (shooting range on my property) and let them shoot suppressed weapons for their first time. Best of luck to all gun owners in CA.

@@davidnikolaychuk2178 per the DOJ website, it does not: "As of January 1, 2001, no handgun may be manufactured within California, imported into California for sale, lent, given, kept for sale, or offered/exposed for sale unless that handgun model has passed firing, safety, and drop tests and is certified for sale in California by the Department of Justice. Private party transfers, curio/relic handguns, certain single-action revolvers, and pawn/consignment returns are exempt from this requirement." That's why a police officer can sell an off roster gun in a private sale.

I grew up in Northridge California (before the invasion). The local hardware store had a firearm sale so I took my meager earnings from my paper route job and bought a 12 gauge 18.5” barrel shotty. No paperwork required, in and out in a few minutes. I tied the box to my schwinn stingray, peddling home happy as a kid could be, I was 15. A short time later we moved to Arizona. It’s a shame the people of California allowed it to become the sh!th0le that it is now.

All of those places are SUPER congested with traffic, there's homeless everywhere, everything is graffitied to shit, gas is super expensive, stupid a** laws, higher income tax, higher tax at sale, etc. There's pockets of cities that aren't dirty but you have to be pretty affluent to live there, live with other people, or live below minimum wage.

@@jrpcoins right up until the point where I can't even leave the house with any of my guns, without the worry that they are all illegal, I can't drive my cars, or ride my bikes because they are all illegal and I'll get a ref ticket that would cost $1000s to take all the modified hardware out and put back in. Cali does have absolutely beautiful weather and is surely has some of the prettiest places in the world, but I don't need the headache. Especially when I love the area I'm currently in and I don't have to deal with any of that noise.......or state income tax.

Whatever you do, don’t tell them it has anything to do with 1 in 30 or ammo. Just say it’s cause you want C&R. They rejected my application the first time over some email exchange, I responded with, “clarification” realizing I’d made an ooops and then it went thru.

Here’s exactly how that went down. At some point they will ask why you want the license. I think I said for collecting guns and to obtain more esoteric ammo I can’t find in B&M gun stores, for instance 50 AE and 50 BMG etc.” The state responded regarding my COE app… “Thank you for contacting the Certificate of Eligibility Unit. You have indicated that you are obtaining a COE for the purpose of purchasing ammunition. The COE Unit is not authorized to utilize federal databases to determine eligibility to specifically purchase, possesses, or own ammunition. As such, we would be unable to process your COE application.” Just don’t say shit about 1:30, ammo nothing. It’s for collecting historical firearms period, learned my lesson. It’s like talking to the police…less is more.

i am stuck here in cali i find this interesting. a major part of why i stopped shooting regularly is how difficult it is for me to purchase ammunition, my drivers license never has my proper physical address on it and so i have to bring TONS of paperwork every time i want to make a purchase. also because gun stores know we cant purchase ammo online the prices are severely inflated and so is the selection.

My COE only took one week to get approved. The problem is a lot of gun stores don’t know the COE rules and that they have to run the background check with personal COE number through the CFARS system. Good video, it’s not hard to get if you fill everything out correctly.

@@ImFlowzHD Once you get the COE you will have your own ID number, gun shop take the number and run it through cfars.doj.ca.gov/login system. Not the normal background system where you have to have a gun registered at your current address. Hopefully that makes sense.

Other just hand over your purchase after verification of COE as the COE say you may acquire and own any firearm. FFL03 is a dealer lic and allows vendors to ship directly to you at home.

@@RenoMay I'm not certain why you say it's just made up. I can't post links in here, but can be easily Googled. One of the ways are technically called compliance inspections but are also called OSI's (on site inspections) and any and all FFLs sign up too, and no notice is given prior. They are "typically" done during business hours but is not required and if the FFL is also the place of residency, there is no hours so can truly come anytime they like. They are allowed to inspect the physical address and any "offsite" storage facilities may possibly use. Just Google compliance inspections and that is just one their tools, there are plenty others of they ever want to.

Unfortunately in California free men who get caught being free men won’t be free anymore. It’s always a balance. Men with families have to think about them first. Can’t provide for your family in jail because you wanted to play “freeman”.

I live in Georgia and i watch all your videos and it's crazy to see all the things y'all have to keep up with i couldn't imagine someone moving from here to California and having someone explain it all their head would burst luckily that never happens jk..but i try to keep up especially with channels like yours that ACTUALLY HELP 2A

I left CA in 2017 (thank God). In the early 2000s I had a C&R and apparently some things have changed. I could purchase long guns (c&r eligible)on line and have it sent to me directly with no ffl involved. Hand guns had to go through an ffl and any purchases in state also had to go through an ffl. Moved to AZ after I retired just to get out from behind the CA Iron Curtain and I’m so happy I did but I enjoy following you in order to keep up with what’s happening there. Keep the faith.

Excellent video Reno! I finally left CA in 2020 after being there my whole life. I had a COE and 03 at what point, seems very worth while. But holy shit that’s obscene to avoid such tyranny, like shocking what they have done.

Hey Reno I always watch your videos. I grew up south of you in the town of Sonoma. We moved to San Antonio Texas a couple years ago not mainly because of the laws but for other reasons. Now that I don't live there it looks worse and seems to be getting worse faster. Good job homie 👍
