@@naslunn1543 he was talking about looking for his brother in the streets of New York during 9/11 & everyone got kinda sad and the timing of “Yeah... He was in Northern Canada” was just perfect it’s hard to explain lol
"Battling cancer for 9 years without telling anyone is the most Norm Macdonald shit ever" - Anthony Jeselnik True words for sure, RIP Norm you were and always will be a ledgend.
Without question. In this age of narcissism, everyone posting on social media every meal they eat and crap they take, Norm was cut from a different cloth.
“If only the cowardice was stronger, then perhaps, then perhaps I can bring myself to reach over to that cocked and loaded gun that lays on the bedside behind me, and end this hellish façade once and for all.” - Norm Macdonald “How long a drive was this?” - Conan O’Brien
"Germany went to the war with THE WORLD. And you might think, "oh that'll be over in like 5-7 seconds and the world would win" but no, it was actually CLOSE" That was always one of my favorites from him
Not only was he a great comedian, he was a DIFFERENT comedian. Nobody has been more casually funny without even having to tell standard jokes or punchlines than Norm Macdonald...look at any interview video where he is with other comedians (Seinfeld, Letterman, Howard Stern...etc) and he has them doubled over with laughter. Not necessarily bc of what he says but HOW he says it.. incredible.. He'll be missed.
@@timetowakeup6302 honestly I don't know why I included him 🤣 other than he had some good moments on the show. But howard is definitely not a comedian lol 🤷♂️
To have quietly fought cancer for near 10 years, and never say a word, truly a Norm thing to do. He was about the comedy and didn’t want the comedy to ever be a cover for the illness. The clips of him with the bloated face is him undergoing chemo, my sister’s face looked the same. He didn’t need to be so dignified, we could have fought this together. We could have been his obnoxious cheerleaders.
I researched it and Norm died from acute leukemia, which has a survival rate of 27% within 5 years of diagnosis for people over 20. Norm lived 9 years after diagnosis. While Norm was a heroic fighter, battling a great disease which is almost as bad as alcoholism when you look at the symptoms, I can't justify the man's hypocrisy, which is really the worst part of his death. RIP Norm.
@@poopfarts5530a comedian said that the worst part of the Bill Cosby situation was the hypocrisy, to which Norm responded “i thought the worst part was all the rape” 💀
@poopfarts5530 My comment was referencing two of Norm's jokes. The hypocrisy one is at 8:10 Also Norm had a bit about alcoholism being a disease, you can find it pretty easily if you search "Norm Alcoholism" Its a very well crafted joke.
that "alchaholics anonomous" bit is the greatest. "none of your beezwax" lol. Norm made so many people laugh, he was loved for his mischief and his wisdom, a unicorn of comedy. RIP
God had nothing to do with this cesspool called RU-vid, they just got lucky when some smart guy put up these Norm McDonald clips. If they find out it makes us happy it will disappear as hate speech
Norm paradox -appearing light and simple minded -yet intellectual-deep, dark and mocking and cruel and the funniest comic I've heard. Impossible to replicate his humour to explain to others , I've tried when I first came across him , they thought I was insane. He really is a genius in my opinion.
Norm could always bring Conan to tears with his wittiness. Today those tears come with sadness and grief. Let us celebrate the millions of laughs that he spread around the world, at a party, with a bunch of friends, after a family dinner, at home alone in your basement, or just when you weren't feeling good and he made things a little bit brighter. Thank you, and hope you have always felt our love. ❤
"In my opinion, if you're going to fight the War on Terror, a good place to start would be this Nation's haunted houses." -Norm Macdonald... HA! Man, I almost choked to death on his delivery.
@@hospitalbruteband he was walking around trying to find his brother in the devastated remains of the twin towers but it turned out his brother was in canada at the time
"I walked through blood n bones, in the streets of new York, tryin to find my brother. He was in northern Canada" Then you hear Nick laugh inside his mug as he's taking a sip haha
Unbelievable, my Dad and I just watched a ton of his stuff not too long ago. My Dad was a huge fan introducing him to me. My Dad passed this past August 24th and now Norm himself passes? This fucking hurts. 💔 RIP Comedic Genius.
@@HokeyBugle i aknowledge he was saying "for some it will be easier" because there were actual girls in the audience . It didn't fly over my head... I am just adding an extra point to the joke
I love how his jokes have you thinking a different punchline is coming and then you just get hit with this punchline that knocks you back a week and has you cracking up falling off your chair.
@@j.ballsdeep420 For future reference, I don't think it can be said that you're withholding criticism if you not only mention that you're withholding some criticism but also mention the basic criticism that you're purportedly withholding.
@@pauljohnbodie5631The joke is that he says he was walking through blood and bones looking for his brother - leads you to think his brother got killed in the tragedy and Norm is trying desperately to find him...….then he just offhandedly states 'he was in northern Canada', meaning he wasn't even in New York on 9/11......
@@pauljohnbodie5631 If it helps at all, Norm is Canadian and his brother still lives up north... If you knew much about his background you'd realize there's no reason his brother would be anywhere near nyc lol..
“Someone gotta feed them hogs” the subtlety of that line always kills me😂😂. Used the end of his joke also as a transition which somehow made it funnier. Dude. Norm was one of a kind.
@@thegreatgamelord8640 it’s the delivery. He’s so casual with it and it’s such a stupid concept that his delivery just makes me laugh. Norm can have some of the most clever jokes but can also pull a stupid concept and make it hilarious simply with how he delivers it.
Similar situation here, except I'm starting to feel a little guilty about the guy circling the grocery store lot looking for a parking space for the last 15 min while I have been watching this and laughing. But I think if he knew what I was watching he would understand.
Cosby: You want a glass of water? Woman: Yes, that would be nice. Woman: Why is it purple? Why is it fizzing? Cosby: Just drink it, it’s famous people water 😂
Never knew this guy existed up until a few days ago, not gonna act like i did. He was absolutely comedic gold though, i’ve enjoyed looking up his content, glad he brought so many laughs and smiles in his lifetime!
I have tears rolling down my cheeks as I type this. That Alcoholics Anonymous segment is one of the most perfect snippets of stand-up I think I’ve ever heard. I’ve just about calmed down from the fits of laughter it drew out of me. Thanks Norm.
@@LBizKid04 The joke is literally just he was looking for his brother when 9/11 happened but his brother was actually in Northern Canada (they are canadian). Not that funny when you spell it out.
"I'm not even gonna dignify him by saying his name." Goes on to put his name on his special. The worst part is the hypocrisy Edit: R.I.P Norm. Your comedy got me through some tough times. #GreatestComedianOfAllTime
“But… I’ll be goddamned if I’m going to end a special talking about Hitler. Yeah, that’s what I’m going to do - end a special… I’m going to call my special Hitler’s Dog...”
Can’t believe my favorite comedian is gone. I knew he was dealing with something behind the scenes but had no idea. Dude was fearless in the face of death and never stopped being the funniest man that ever lived. Something to live by, Norm Macdonald will forever be my biggest inspiration in life
Laughing and crying at the same time. Cant believe we will never get to hear anything new from you again. You were an absolute genius. R.I.P Norm, you dirty uncle you
The loudest and hardest laugh I have had in the last year was Norm’s Polish joke. Even knowing something was coming, his delivery was hilarious. RIP, Norm.
I'll never stop watching or listening to Norm. Rest in peace, you old chunk of coal. I'll keep you alive in my life through what you made and maybe I'll I meet you on the other side. I hope people keep watching these videos too. This genius deserves for new generations to know him.
:) That war on terror joke is not only a very inspired quip about semantics, but is also an effectively sly illumination of just what a seemingly pseudo-hollow p.r. endeavor it's always been.
Unfortunately lots of comedians are deeply depressed internally. Look at Robin Williams 😔 His life and work was to be funny. He was good at it. That's what made him, Him
