It’s the beauty of the scenery of these 3 videos combined with these songs that captured the hearts and souls of millions of Duranies back in the 80s. This is the most beautiful music video ever!!!! All the music videos Duran Duran made in Sri Lanka on the early 80s are very important on their music career. These videos were favorites on MTV and made them music video kings even before Michael Jackson. Watch "Hungry like the Wolf" and "Lonely in your Nightmare" next, also filmed in Sri Lanka.
The sound in the beginning when you asked what instrument was being playing.It's the synthesizer! Also this video was done in Sri Lanka you are very right. And this was 1982!
Glad u enjoyed this. I was about your age, younger even, when I first saw this video and , like you, I was blown away by the video and the song. The large mountain with the two band members on top was shot from a helicopter that dropped them off on the top so they could film it. They had to jump out of it as it hovered above, onto the flat top.
Haha yeahh i was feeling out of this world when i saw that.. it is actually a very famous place in Sri Lanka.. It is called Sigiriya and it is a rock fortress used by ancient King!! Ohh didnt know they used helicopters to land there!! (there is a staircase where we can use to get to the top but that does take some time!!) I have visited that places couple of times too!! hehe😃😇
