Also, why does nobody point out the issue with how the Light and Dark side work here? Obi-Wan gains a huge boost of Force power when he thinks about how important Leia is to him, while Sidious says Vader becomes weak because of his hate and obsession towards Obi-Wan and should let it go. What the hell? I mean don't the Jedi train to distance themselves from their personal attachments to attain greater affinity with the Light side? And don't the Sith gain more power from their feelings of hate and resentment? Correct me if I'm wrong here, but I think Disney totally forgot how the Light and Dark side should work in Star Wars...

I still can't get over the writers expecting us to respect Reva as if she made a courageous decision not to pointlessly murder an innocent and defenseless child.

I’m convinced they don’t hire bad writers. They hire “yes man” writers, those who are willing to give up the need to write something artistic and engaging and will say yes to whatever the executives need. We need baby leia to be the central character to set up our Teen Leia spinoff series. We need random ass Reva to occupy at least half the run time of every episode and not die at the end because we need to sell a spinoff. We need to have Hadyn Vader for the marketing. We can’t feature Owen too much because he doesn’t check enough woke boxes. The people who write for Marvel and Star Wars now have to accept that taking the job means you’re a commercial writer, not a creative writer. Any writer who adamantly disagreed with any of these caveats either wouldn’t have taken the job or would’ve been let go early on.

Leaving Vader broke canon beyond repair. The entire point of the OT was that Luke needed to be trained because Obi-Wan and Yoda failed to kill the greatest evil in the galaxy and it was his job to right their wrongs and bring light back again. But now that's not the point of the OT. Obi could've prevented the destruction of Alderaan, the death of billions at the hands of Vader, maybe giving the last of the jedi a fighting chance against the emperor who held no apprentice, and hence, the need for Luke and to wait almost 15 years for the Empire to fall wouldn't have been necessary. Now Luke had to train, millions more had to die, the rebellion had to be formed, all because obi wan was a fucking pussy who didn't have the balls to kill his friend WHO HE CLAIMS WAS DEAD at the end of their fight. This entire show was a fucking waste of time that should have not existed.

All the tie fighters in the galaxy must have been in their respective hangars getting oil changes during this entire series.

When Reva stands over an unconscious Little Luke (who ran away) with her lightsaber ready to strike, it’s like poetry. It rhymes with the other contrived, predictable, banal shit we are trying to forget from Disney.

The fact that palpatine suggests that vader holding on to the past weakens him is stupid. Palpatine literally made Vader’s suit painful and clunky so he WOULDNT forget his past and his failure to kill Obi Wan thus strengthening him and his anger

If a beam of ultra hot light been pushed through your abdomen doesn't just kill you outright then I don't know what will. Flynn got a light saber up the spin and thewe was no blood. Two people in this series got light sabers right through the belly which houses your most vital organs apart from the brain and they survived. I wish I lived in that universe weren plot amour can save your life. Oh I forgot, I'm not allowed to speak sense because if I do I will be called a bigot or something.

This Kenobi show really makes you appreciate the OT and the Prequels more, doesn't it? Also funny how Ashoka breaks one side of Vader's helmet in their fight, Obi-wan breaks the other side of Vader's helmet in their fight, I wonder what's next? Next person who beats him (who will probably be Reva in her spinoff show....) will break the middle part of his helmet so only his mouth will show? Then next time they only break the very top of his helmet? I wonder how many ways can you break Vader's helmet. What if we would just poke little holes into the eyes of the helmet and draw a smile on it with a lightsaber? Surely they can't overdo that...

A lightsaber wound would be absolutely catastrophic. It vaporizes and burns all flesh involved. This show singlehandedly retconned how deadly lightsabers are/were. Fuck Disney.

I remember seeing an excuse for Luke Skywalker not knowing what a lightsaber was - he simply repressed his encounter with Reva, it was too traumatic. Yes, that was a real excuse.

My dissapointment with this series in immeasurable and my love for Star Wars in ruined.

"There is no excuse for using two scenes to do what you can do with one." Like most modern creators, they always think they're going to be the next big thing and get infinite time to flesh out their ideas.

I grew up with Star wars in the 80's. It seems that all the love and mystery from that era is gone now. This Disney/Star Wars is the end of all that magic.

I will never acknowledge this show as canon. What they did to my boy Vader is unforgivable.

I always thought it was so funny how badass they tried to make Luke's aunt seem in the face of a SITH yet they end up burned by storm troopers that can't even hit a target that stands still.

One of the things I hate about the new force powers is that it completely invalidates the terror felt when you see Vader force-choke someone or Palpatine shoot lightning. Those were supposed to be the most intimidating moves of two of the most powerful dark side force users, but now we have people shooting mountains at each other while sharting out lightning storms so large it cripples an entire fleet...

I will say that Luke did meet Ben at least once growing up. Luke:“ I wonder if he means old Ben Kenobi”. Later in the movie Luke knows who Ben is after being saved by him Obi-Wan Kenobi: Tell me, young Luke, what brings you out this far? Luke: This little droid. I think he's searching for his former master. I've never seen such devotion in a droid before. Ah, he claims to be the property of an Obi-Wan Kenobi. Is he a relative of yours?

Its ruination of the lore and characters cannot be understated. I'm done paying for Disney Wars.

The excuses fans made for this show were wild and the goalposts they gave moved further every episode.

Screw this series. Vader orders the entire ship to turn around for Obi-Wan, letting the rebels go, (instead of using a magnetic beam, or sending tie-fighters, or just keep firing...)... but ends up getting into his shuttle and flying after it himself , thus missing out on the rebels for no reason at all. Obi-Wan trusts Leia to some random rogue who has already seeded his transmitter... The duel with Vader is miserable. They wave their swords like baseball bats in episode 9, and the Force has generally turned into an anime - they crush rocks and make craters in the ground, but they can’t break each other’s bones in the same way ... they can withstand the blows of multi-ton boulders ... Obi-Wan, without jokes, becomes a god thanks to the power of friendship and lifts weight much more than Yoda ... at some point he hits Vader with the HILT of the sword ... cuts his back, but that doesn’t paralyse him ... and most importantly, he doesn’t finish him off for the second time, although he himself said his friend is dead... Vader does not call the cruiser to shoot down Obi-Wan's ship, but it turns out that he has a hyperdrive, which makes the whole last episode even more pointless, since he and Leia could fly to Alderaan on it all this time already at the end of episode 4 .. . Owen and Beru do not set any traps for Reva in the doors, they only shoot her one at the time, do not catch up with her on a speeder, do not evacuate on the speeder, do not call the local police, the same Jabba the Hutt (with the promise of money), and Luke is advised to run on foot into the desert, to the Tuskens... Reva with a hole in her HEART can easily fight, run and carry weights ... And finally, she, who cuts off the hands of all those who disagree, throws knives at people, kills everyone in her path, hunts the Jedi trying to kill them, tortures a 10-year-old child , suddenly cannot kill Luke, because he sees himself in him (but not in Leah) ... by the way, why? Does she know he's Vader's son? How? And Obi-Wan forgives her, although he saw what she was doing and Tala died because of her... Now the whole Empire knows that Bail Organa communicates with Obi-Wan, they are looking for him all over the galaxy, but at the same time Obi-Wan quietly flies to Alderaan to chat with Leia... Obi-Wan communicates with Luke, although Owen told him in A New Hope that he died at the same time as his father ... Qui-gon, it turns out, can appear without any meditation, but the whole series did not do this ... As a result - Obi-Wan, Owen, Beru, Bale failed their missions to protect children, and they are only alive because the Empire and Vader are even more incompetent, and Reva suddenly became kind ... and now we are waiting for a series about her ... Thank you Disney, now you've ruined every single character in the original trilogy. Star Wars is long dead, and there's no more room for nails in the coffin.

Ya know this isn't mentioned at all really, but during the fight between Obi-Wan and Vader, Vader force holds Obi-Wans' lightsaber and has a clear advantage over Obi-Wan, but yet bats the saber away instead. This is twice Disney has done this move and I don't know why they think it's cool.

I find it interesting that Disney has the rights to all of the starwars library since 2012. The Kenobi Legends book is a worthy candidate to make an Obi-Wan show, heck even a movie trilogy from and KK says, "there's no source material." I would think the business that purchased a fan beloved franchise would surely use the already established lore to base films and shows on and definitely let the person in charge know that. But no, Disney is blinded by their greed to be an entertainment empire rather than do the right thing and follow that story

Yea, the problem with these hyper-competent women characters is that they’re portrayed as so overly brave and thorough that the plans they wind up coming up with turn out to make NO SENSE-happened in boba fett when fett wanted to fight the final battle in his palace, but the “strong” female girl said she won’t ruin the city or some shit (even though that’s EXACTLY what wound up happening); the last Jedi-with the purple-haired librarian commander who-for no reason- told NOONE her brilliant, master plan to save everyone (which makes NO sense); happened in the rise of skywalker, ren offered to take Rey to Palpatine like 30 minutes into the movie-but NO, she was too independent (even tho that’s EXACTLY where she wanted to go), only to basically go to the emperor at the same time as ren two hours later.. and now with EVERY female character in this series, who can beat all males up, outthink every male from stormtroopers to Vader himself, and have more balls than Jedi and common men alike.

"I will do what I must." "I have failed, Anakin. I have failed you." '"Well then you are lost!" "You *were* my brother, I *loved* you." Obi-Wan already came to terms with Anakin and forsook him in ROTS. So the scene with him and Hayden with the crack in the mask, as decent as it was, had no reason to exist. Would have been much better had they adressed the morality of Obi-Wan abandoning Anakin to the flames of Mustafar rather than execute him.

I hope Disney watches this!! They need to fire all their writers and Kathleen Kennedy. Thank you for your great content.

Great impersonation of the Grand Inquisitor. I got the vibe that the actor was trying his best to come across like a discount Bane from Batman Begins. Wasn’t impressed.

one thing that's really been bugging me about this series, the series obviously shows that although he won't admit it, it's very much still anakin in a suit, he fights on emotion compared to the OT, yet considering they took this approach, I cannot believe padme wasn't even mentioned, in my head that wouldve made a very good idea on how Kenobi could best him in a battle, use his love for padme and make him fight too much on that emotion, a bit like what he did with his arrogance in ROTS

I love this channel!! While I’m watching the show I will have concerns about certain scenes and situations and then I can watch this review and see that he has the same issues but can explain very succinctly why the scenes don’t “feel “ right. Excellent content!!

I just cant justify this entire plot to begin with. Obi wan is endangering Luke so damn terribly in every regard. If he's captured - He can be squeezed for information before being offed. If he escapes - He will be hunted for eternity meaning Luke would be permanently in danger for as long as obi wan lives. If he dies - Luke is never taught about the jedi and ironically becomes and imp pilot like he wanted. Unless Obi wan had a complete broken psyche, was an emotional wreck and was at near snapping point having to juggle the entire fate of the galaxy whilst simultaneously having to face his past trauma, am I the only one that cant rationalise what's going on? Couple episodes in and he's literally profiled into the empires system and in direct combat with not only its elite forces but it's own right hand! He's proven to be a large threat and is Vader's last connection to humility and former self within their current understanding. You're not returning to a life in hiding by that point. You're on the run, which again, endangers the chosen one. You are now the galaxies most wanted (outside of mon mothma) no matter how much that laughable scene of Palpatine OF ALL PEOPLE telling Vader to chill says otherwise. Ridiculous.

6:52 Let's not underestimate the raw, titanic sex appeal of Uncle Owen. Reva was probably thinking about hunky Owen ever since.

I can imagine the theme of this episode is that fee fees are more important than one's professional duty. Obi-Wan and Darth Vader letting the other escape is the quintessential example. But also, Obi-Wan lets Reva go despite her cheap redemption and the fact that telepaths exist in this universe. There is no guarantee that Reva is the only one with that ability, nor is she beholden by some oath to keep the secret of Luke to her grave. I can't overemphasise how much Obi-Wan's character has regressed thanks to this final fight with Vader. As part of nostalgia, he says "I will do what I must". In ROTS, this is the climax of his dilemma when he learns Anakin has turned to the Dark Side. He is torn between his duty as a Jedi and his emotional attachments towards Anakin. He even tried to trade targets with Yoda. So when he said this line of dialogue, it was him affirming where he stood on the subject and thus his intention to kill Anakin. That carried him all the way to the lava banks of Mustafar. The duty of serving the greater good outweighs one's personal feelings. But here, thanks to how the fight ended, it effectively turned the message over its head. Although poorly established, the writers seem to suggest that Obi-Wan's guilt in killing Anakin is what has thrown him into his "depression". Now that he has a "second chance", he has chosen his *personal feelings over* his own duty. Sure, people may argue about mercy and not striking down a downed opponent, but mercy was what left Anakin burnt to a crisp and transformed into Vader. Mercy in this case is entirely selfish since its beneficiaries are only Obi-Wan and Darth Vader. The true cost of this mercy will be borne by the galaxy for the next 14 years. But that doesn't bother Obi-Wan since only his fee fees matter, and he has completed his "journey"(?) of not giving a hoot. And remember, nine years from now, everyone will return to their starting positions of wanting to kill each other. Except Luke is now involved and -groomed- trained for that purpose. When taken in its totality, this is a story of lazy Obi-Wan Kenobi. He is too lazy to protect Luke to the point of burying his lightsaber and forgetting to train. He is lazy in his duty as a Jedi, if not just a decent "hero" in sparing Darth Vader. His power-up moment is memories of Leia, implying that his 10 years protecting Luke came and went in tepid boredom and apathy compared to the few days he was with Leia. He is lazy in letting that loose end Reva run off. And now he is lazy by dumping the task of protecting Luke completely on Owen and Beru's shoulders despite the fact that 12 hours prior, they were about to get him killed. It's a surprisingly flat character arc with a slight downward incline for Obi-Wan despite what this show tries to argue to the contrary. And it just doesn't mesh with Ben Kenobi we see in Rebels or ANH. I would like to hear your final summary next week, though I have a particularly dim view of any "average" rating. Make no mistake, at least one sober Disney exec saw this product and thought that "average" was the best they are going to achieve. And so 5/10 might as well be 10/10. Worse, it reaffirms the formula that memberberries are all that is needed to placate SW fans. The instinct to praise mere "ideas" despite the rubbish execution is the twin brother to the legions of fans desperately writing over plot holes in an effort to maintain the illusion of "positivity", the mirage that the product is much better than it actually is. Until people stop compromising rubbish like this show because they cannot control their thirst for more SW product, SW will never improve. Be like Obi-Wan Kenobi in Mustafar, who upheld the greater good over his own feelings.

Star Wars is DEAD. Disney killed it. If you're paying for Disney Plus, you're partly responsible for the absolute crap they're producing. In fact, you should pirate Obi-Wan like the rest of us.

The biggest disappointment is the wasted potential.

47:53 There’s actually a canon reason for this. Did you know there’s a radio show with many of the original actors that was made between Star Wars and Emprire Strikes Back? It retells the first movie and fleshes out a lot of scenes and characters. Most notably, Leia has a lot more happen before her first movie scene. We learn she’s been secretly working with the rebels and obtains the stolen plans. No, not like in Rogue 1, that’s a retcon, but similarly. They jump from the heist to Tatooine to pick up Obi-Wan. Bail Organa told her to do this after she got the plans because they needed him in the fight. Leia makes no indication she has met him, only knows him by reputation. Then Vaders star destroyer show up and they realize the ship is tracked and there must be a traitor on board. At this point, they cannot contact Alderaan or Obi-Wan directly as any transmitted message will be intercepted, so she opts to download the compromising data into R2 and the rest is history. The radio show isn’t easy to find. A family member gave me cassette tapes with recordings as a kid (since lost or broken), and I only recently acquired a set of used cds. Definitely worth a listen though.

To totally mess up an opportunity like this, a series about Obi-Wan, it's just so sad. It makes me so sad, I can't see any hope for Star Wars at all anymore. I remember watching A New Hope back in 1977, I had never seen anything like it, it blew my mind. Today I wish I could unsee all the garbage so that that first marvelous impression would be stained.

Still haven't watched it. I did watch a clip of the last fight between Darth and Kenobi, and thought it was pretty cool, and almost had the required level of gravitas...until Kenobi cut Darth's helmet in half, and then after the appropriately "serious" dialogue...just walked off, leaving Darth kneeling on the ground, in a near-perfect position for being beheaded by a lightsaber. If I was a less casual SW fan, I'm fairly sure I would compare that with having missionary position sex with Erika Eleniak, only to have my mother walk into my bedroom and start a vacuum cleaner at the penultimate moment.

They absolutely could've written Reva's arc so much better. Here's the pitch: Reva survives Order 66 as before, but like everyone else, she has no idea that Vader is Anakin--I mean, why the hell would she know that? Anyway, Reva becomes an Inquisitor because she wants to discover what happened to Anakin Skywalker and kill him. On Jabiim, Obi-wan reveals to Reva that Vader *is* Anakin (cough, "No, I am your father," cough). They have a big fight, Leia fixes the doors, and Obi-wan and company finally escape. Reva discovers the message from Organa, puts two and two together that Luke is Anakin's child. Realizing the danger in letting Anakin Skywalker's son live, she goes to Tatooine to kill him while Vader and Obi-wan square off. Later, Reva stands over Luke as he sleeps in his bed. The red glow of her lightsaber illuminates the room. Cut. As Obi-wan runs towards the Lars farm, he sees Reva walking towards him from the house. He realizes he is too late and falls to his knees. Reva approaches him and drops her Grand Inquisitor pin to the ground. She reveals that she couldn't do it. That she realized what she had become. Although she hasn't fully left the Dark Side, she vows to kill Vader and begins to walk away. Obi-wan grabs her hand and they have a moment of understanding and respect. Same outcome, but without the glaring plotholes of Reva *secretly* wanting to kill Vader the whole time she's gleefully killing children, of Reva somehow surviving her spine getting severed by a lightsaber, of Vader somehow knowing all along that she wanted to kill him, of Luke seeing a lightsaber, of Owen and Beru somehow becoming capable of fending off an Inquisitor, of Beru becoming uncharacteristically badass, etc.

Yeah, the score is shocking. Even John Williams's scores to the three Disney/Star Wars films feel hollow and unrewarding. Reductionist would be a good word to describe these Disney/Star Wars scores. But then again, nothing is as it seems. Disney set out to destroy the old trilogy and prequels as cannon, then made it it's mission with the agenda in hand to destroy, using a scorched Earth policy to undermine Lucas/Star Wars. I don't believe any of this is incompetence on Disney's part. You just destroy the old to bring in the new way of thinking. Even if it looks like things are totally incompetent.

This show, is unfortunately wrong in so many ways 🤔 Why would Kenobi leave a homicidal, genocidal, kiddy killing, neck snapping, brutal Sith Lord alive after acknowledging that his bro is indeed now dead 🤔 We all know George's Vader and Kenobi were NOT supposed to meet again until end of ANH. Therefore, live action, suited Vader was not to loose until his demise in Return of the Jedi. All, Disney have succeeded in doing with their unforgivable thoughtless writing, is nerf this dude and detract from his menace. And, if the greedy mouse had to have them fight, then it should have been with them both actually attempting to finish one another off, with a plausible reason for them to be separated, like a diversion or some interference, not rocket science. Instead, we get a sudden, space Jezzuz Kenobi... And, a formerly, space craft stopping, now underpowered Irish dancing Kung Fu Vader, with a conveniently cheap hilt vulnerable control panel, who's become apprehensive of 2nd fires/2nd ships, a few floating rocks and has forgotten how to terminally stab someone with a lightsabre. Even the way he buried Kenobi under some rocks then simply walked off after a 10 year lust, didn't seem right.. Lol hell-no.. on another sizable RU-vid channel, you've even now got a few 100 Micky Mouse fans exchanging contrivances on Vader crying after mask splits. After seeing this shit and it's myriad of baffling holes & nonsensical moments, I'm pretty much convinced, that at least for now, or until the mouse can recruit some intellectual creatives who understand the essence of Star Wars, that this show should not have been made. Instead of continuously writing yourself into another, easily avoidable, silly plot hole corner, that you then miserably attempt to escape. Unless they start turning the proverbial ship around, Star Wars eventually, will be diluted with mediocrity and subpar filler shows, beyond recognition. Obi wan is my favorite character, and I think his story is the main purpose of the whole prequel trilogy. They could have made this a decidedly impressive commentary on despair, depression, PTSD, a sense of duty but with the need for secrecy demanding that you get no credit or even rejection for doing it. It could’ve really hit hard talking about our own veteran soldiers and what they go through. It could’ve shown hope as obi wan conquers these feelings, communes with qui gon, and maybe indirectly saves Luke from time to time. How about a familial tension where obi wan wants to be a part of Luke’s life, but Owen doesn’t allow him to for obvious reasons. This show could have been absolutely amazing, and they managed to instead destroy the entire thing

Obi-Wan Kenobi: A canon-breaking Disney+ Star Wars cash grabbing "story" Starring the laziest written villain, stereotypical angry black woman, who don't need no man, making plans that are either complete reaches in logic, or are just pulled straight out of her ass, that gets "redeemed" by the end of the story. A story where a youngling survived Operation Knight fall, got stabbed by Lord Vader, become an Imperial Inquisitor, sneak attacked the Grand Inquisitor, a former Jedi Temple Guard who's species is known for their hypersensitive hearing, and at minimum, had the rank of a Jedi Knight. After hilariously losing to Darth Vader, getting stabbed AGAIN, she finds the idiotic holo-message of Bail mentioning Owen and "The Children", possibly knowing who they truly are, despite only a handful of people even knowing. Reeeva heading to Tattooine to kill Luke for some fucking reason, Beru not making any goddamn sense, shenanigans ensue, resulting in 3rd Sista standing over an innocent child who did dick-all in this show, wanting to kill him apparently to avenge her slain family, even though, she seemed to be A-okay working with the people who keep their corpses like taxidermy trophies. But all is forgiven, because she "SaVeD" Luke, via not killing him. Darth Reva then cried to Obi-Wan, viewing herself as a failure and no better than Darth Vader, then Kenobi spat in the face of anyone with an iota of moral fiber and an IQ above negative one hundred by saying she didn't fail her family, and she's nothing like Darth Vader. The whole Leia-knowing-Obi-wan-Kenobi plot hole is only slapped with a sticker saying "No one must know, or it could endanger us both". To those who say Star Wars is dead, you're wrong. Star Wars was brutally raped and killed, resurrected with Sith Alchemy, beaten within an inch of it's undead life, and mutilated beyond recognition. Kathleen Kennedy can go fuck herself with Rey and Reva's lightsaber for all I care. Dave, I'm sorry, but unless I hear nothing but good things about the Ahsoka series, I will not watch it, even at gunpoint.

I still maintain we were robbed of Jason Isaacs (who plays the Grand Inquisitor in Rebels) in this show...because he's Jason Isaacs, and any time he doesn't appear in media we are robbed.

The Qui Gon ghost appearance directly contradicts Star Wars the Clone Wars which was overseen by George Lucas. The last arc of the Clone Wars had heavy involvement by George Lucas and was about Qui Gon helping Yoda become a Force Ghost. Qui Gon directly states in the show he can't become a Force Ghost becausr he never completed his training.

Ive noticed that every show they try to do about old characters, they fuck it up royally. The one odd time they do put out a good effort is with new characters, such as the Mandalorian or Rogue 1. They need to stop doing old people and start telling new stories with all new characters

As someone fortunate enough to remember standing in the long line winding around my local cinema more than once in 1977 as a 9 year old, a party-like atmosphere of excitement and anticipation shared by everyone present, I've been a lifelong Star Wars fan... no longer. Expecting a basic level of competence and just a little care from Disney is barely anything to ask, and certainly doesn't make me a racist. SOBs! Time to go off on one... A very small point among a roaring sea of towing waves of points to choose from. Time, hyperspace, and the way Disney's morons f_ck with it: As has been pointed out already space is really big... In A New Hope 'the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy' took many hours to hyperspace from Tatooine to Alderaan. The same ship with a broken hyperdrive took *months* to get from that asteroid field to Bespin, and Han considered their relatively close proximity to be really lucky... ...oh, and that happened to be time in which Han and Leia could 'get friendly' and Luke could do the basics of Jedi training. That was also time for Boba Fett to track the Falcon, report the destination to Vader, the Empire take over Bespin, make repairs, and for them to come up with a trap for Han and Luke! That in itself speaks volumes of Vader's capacity for patient planning. None of this is overtly stated in the film, but these events had to be in the minds of the writers as backstory because of the clear consistency of world building with which the films were written. "Children's stories about space wizards", hah! The semi-literate morons who 'write' for the evil mouse can't even get what is right in front of them to line up let alone have their 'stories' make sense while existing inside a believable context. ...I feel a little better now.

The entire show is a masterclass of bad writing.

If the Empire was willing to destroy a world to send a message to the universe why wouldn't the Empire invade a world to find a potential threat such as Obi Wan. They would have a whole naval contingent above Tattoine to ensure no one leaves the planet.
