Great instructional video , basic and straightforward review . I have a Eurohike 4 season down bag which has served me well throughout the last few months but am looking at buying this OEX Leviathan for myself and letting my son use my Eurohike , this has sealed the deal and I’ll be buying one tomorrow from Go Outdoors for this weekends trip away which is forecast to be cold , I’ll get back with how we got on 👍 cheers for the video .

I've had mine 2 years ,ive taken it down to -5 and I was down to my underwear and on another occasion -13 but whilst wearing thermal leggings , trouser and thermal top with a down jacket I was starting to feel the cold
Not off the top of my head I'm afraid buddy, you can probably knock 2 or 3 cm off that measurement, but my recommendation if you are thinking about getting this bag, or any bag is to go to the shop and get in it 👍 you know for sure it fits if you do this 👍 atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁
Hey, great video, I’m thinking of upgrading my sleeping bag I’ve had since a teenager it’s been to Canada, Africa and currently living in the Highlands of Scotland. I’ve seen some reviews saying the bag let’s out a lot of down, have you found that? Also I’m 6’ 2 and really glad to hear you can fit in it!

Alreet marra. I been currently debating this doss bag for a while now. But im on the fence a bit. Its not the specs its more the size compressed versus a sport motorcycle baggage. I have a 44 inch chest, 5'7" (shortarse), and im a side/ chest sleeper who moves around a lot. Im wondering how much room is in this bag when its not cynched down and whether theres room to toss n turn when im wearing a base layer and long johns under a set of British Army Softies inside it. My dilemma is do i chance a thinner smaller down doss bag (im thinking worst possible winter weather scenarios here on lake district mountain tops), with British Army Softies on inside the bag, or just get the ev 900 and wear softies inside it. Im just not sure how much wriggle room there will be inside the ev900 when ive got my softies on too. It looked a bit tight when you were inside in just a t shirt. Is there a lot more width when you dont cynch it down around the head and neck baffle? Anyhoo, just thought id ask. If theyd made this doss bag rectangular i probably wouldnt even be having this conversation. Lol
It's a great bag for the money, probably the best value for money bag on the market IMHO, however I do find it a bit tight to be honest, and when I toss and turn in the night I can tie myself up like a pretzel, might I suggest a quilt will probably serve you better 👍 atb Paul 🙏 🏕🏕🏕😁

Im not wanting to she'll out a fortune for a bag. I saw a Nemo Disco copy on Ali Express for £65 but dare I chance it when were talking about negative temperatures. Great review 👌 what would be the mildest temperatures you'd be able to use this sleeping bag without roasting too much? Looks like a great winter bag but wondered how comfortable it would be during other times of the year.
I have been using it since August, as the temperature here in Cumbria can drop quite low during the night, and if its too warm I simply un zip, generally I use it August to march ish, as I always pack for the coldest scenario, thanks fir watching, atb, Paul 👌👍
Hi Carmel, an 8 or 10 litre dry bag will be fine, just make sure you put the feet end in first, then as in the video you can compress really small 👍 atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁
Combined with a decent sleep pad it works very well, I have done a few camps with it in extreme cold, snow and ice, if you have a look down my videos you will find them, and also keep an eye out over this winter for new winter camping fun. Hi newbie question - you said about tabs on bottom of bag to hang up, so can't keep sleeping bad in squash sack when at home? Going to take up look room. Nice to see a square sleeping bag then all them Mommy
You can hang the bag up from them if you have room to do so, or keep it in the bigger net bag. If you keep a down bag compressed for a long time it's not good for them, and they don't loft up fully. Hope this helps pal. Thanks for watching 👌👍
Hey buddy, thanks for watching, the dry bag is the one that came with my summer bag, no dimensions on it unfortunately, in the video I give the size it packs down too, the smallest length is the width of the dry bag, and the other is the height, so as long as it is about 15cm taller than that you are good to go buddy 👌👍👍👍
Hi bud, many thanks for watching, the dry bag I'm using came with my 1 season bag, and unfortunately it does not say how many litres it is, sorry. You could go off the measurements I give, bearing in mind that the length given is closed so the bag will be a little longer than that 😊 stay safe 👌👍
Absolutely it does, store in net bag it comes with, then you can compress small for carrying to camp. It means it will loft properly, if you store it compressed for a long time when you need it it won't loft, atb, Paul 🙏😁🏕️🏕️🏕️
