I purchased the same tail bag, very good quality and simple to install. I find it pretty difficult to get on and off the bike while it's mounted. I need to stand on the foot peg to gain extra height and to being able to swing my leg over it, I am getting old lol.

Yes it stands pretty tall, but is handy for carrying waterproofs or for an overnight trip. I might look into getting some soft panniers for longer trips.

I have the same tail pack. As you correctly say i find it way easier just to take the seat off as the unhooking the straps can be a bit of a fiddle after a long day with tired hands. I strap a pair of lightweight trainers on top & cover the whole lot again with an amazon plastic rucksack cover which itself is held on with another strap under the bag itself. I have also seen a good design from trexracing there in the usa which uses a mounting plate with the seat removed which would allow a decent size top box to be fitted

Great review :D I was wondering what should i buy and now I know :D But iv got a few questions: - Is it the one you can get from a dealer? It looks almost the same. - is this turn signal from the dealer too or is something custom?

Ensure the Triumph part number (A9510572) is correct at your dealer, as they have similar-looking tailbacks that fit multiple bikes. The turn signals are Kellermann LED's. I bought them as part of a kit when buying the tail-tidy bodywork - ask for Michael at Brogue and tell him I sent you! broguemotorcycles.com

Firstly well done on your great informative videos!🙌 So, i have the '21 CBR650R atm... But, really fancy and close to changing to the new Rs.. Just wondering, now you've got some good mileage on it, what's it like for longer distance, touring and more hours in the sadle, as this is part reason im looking to change.. Thanks..

Hi, Carl. And thank you! It's great for distance work. I rode it 250 miles yesterday in temps between 80-90F. It's seat and shock will never be as soft as an R1250GS, but you already know that - it's a comfy sporty naked after all. I generally ride for an hour and then have a 10-15 min leg stretch (on any bike) and this is perfect for that. I ride it all day long and find it very easy on the body because it's so lightweight, agile, and therefore requires little physical effort (less tiring). I'll be taking it on an 800 mile 3-day trip next month, so I'm pretty confident in its lightweight touring abilities. And I've even thought about buying a second RS, so that one can be fed sticky tires and be used on thrashes and track days, and the other can have heated grips, cruise control, handguards, and luggage for rainy days, winter and touring. But really the RS can do 'everything' anyway, and do it well. At this point I can't ever see me selling it. For me, hands down the best motorcycle Triumph has made this century. P.s. Don't expect the super sticky Pirelli Supercorsa's (US market) to last that long on it - I have a set of Michelin Pilot 6 ready to go on it soon. LMK what you decide!

@RichDunn Well Rich!... I managed to get a deposit on an Rs nearly a couple of weeks ago... kinda took that chance that I'd love it, given all of the reviews!..ha.. I had an hour demo ride last Saturday on a Cosmic Yellow Rs on our Wales Coastal road and absolutely loved it!!.. So... I'm excited to pick up my new Carnival Red one tomorrow (Sat) and be riding it home through Snowdonia National Park...Can't wait!!.. Ordered Cruise control and flyscreen but they won't be in till August... Buzzing!!!..😃.. Hope you are well..!👍🏻

Have the same configuration of tank bag and rear bag on the red RS. 😅 I'm not sure the rear bag might disturb my back while riding because if permanent contact to it. 🤔

Good job! I've used the tank bag a lot (I used to hate them, but they're 'so' useful!), but haven't had the need to use the tail pack yet. It really helps if you really firmly pull it so that it's as far back as possible, but I'll need to try it myself on a long day-trip to see if I find it annoying or indispensable.

I wanted the tailbag too, but is too short and too high gor me. Enough would be 1/2 or 1/3 of height.

Getting your leg over has a whole different connotation in the UK. However, I can say that if you hold the front brake on and steep across the bike seat using the left footpeg to make getting onto it easy, you'll be just fine. It's well made and a nice bag, but the storage is small. If you want to use it for weekends away you'll need something like the SW Motech quick-detach saddle-bags.

No, the bag is smaller than it looks. It will fit goretex shells of a jacket and pants, plus a change of gloves. But that's about it.

Thanks for the feedback. You're right that it's a squeeze to get everything for a weekend away in there, you need to pack very light. And I do have larger tailbacks, which would fit. But they are neither waterproof nor quick to release and don't look as good. Like everything its a compromise, and choice is good.
