Agreed. Seem as if the whole court room was waiting for this moment of Fuhrman on the witness stand. It was eerily quiet. And the excellent point you make of no objections clearly added to the eeriness of the room. Clarke and Fuhrman were almost too well rehearsed.
A very clever way of showing everyone that (1) It doesn’t matter what Mark Fuhrman says, it’s NOT BELIEVABLE!!! (2) It doesn’t matter what Marcia asks him as the replies will have NO SIGNIFICANCE!!!! The absence of objections must’ve totally devastated Marcia’s self esteem, and you can almost “hear” the deafening eerie silence!!!!

The prosecution knew way in advance about Fuhrman,but never figured on the defense team would find out damaging evidence against this Detective. Another failed attempt to clean up a dishonest cop. Ms Clark is trying to handle the entire case by herself totally out matched by the defense team in her limited career role as the leading prosecutor in this case. She's going over the same questioning over and over. Fuhrman is starting to worm a little by the constant questioning of the same questioning by Ms Clark. Not one objection by the defense team; like a hawk there watching his every move.

Ms Clark is trying to establish a alibi for Mark Fuhrman instead of asking investigating questions. Notice not one objection from the defense team in Ms Clark's questioning of Mark Fuhrman. Not once does Judge Ito stops Ms Clark from asking leading questions,; neither does the defense attorneys. Under cross examination Ms Clark will become a objecting fool. It was her leading questions that allowed F. Lee Bailey's brutal assault on Mark Fuhrman's testimony that eventually led to him pleading the fifth amendment and gave the defense team exactly what they need in their closing arguments, that Mark Fuhrman planted evidence or at least had the opportunity and the motive for planting evidence. Ms Clark will prove to be fatal to the prosecution's case in her line of questioning leading to a multitude of sidebars more then 100 sidebars alone by the prosecution team. That's a clear indication that they were being outlawed by the defense attorneys who continually challenged every single piece of evidence and was relentless in their questioning of every single prosecution witness. Getting many of the prosecution's witnesses to agree with the defense attorneys on how many mistakes where made and their lack of knowledge about police procedures and policies. Ms Clark and Darden were the worst possible prosecutors in California to handle this case.

My co workers dad worked with Fuhrman when he was an officer in Eatonville, Wa. I'm told he was a racist asshole then. Investigators for the OJ defense called the guy to ask him if he was a racist and would testify. He says he couldn't turn in another cop. If so, we would have had another verdict had Fuhrman not been a racist.
I watched this trial in its entirety in 1995 and the one thing that got on my nerves the absolute most was Marcia Clark's CONSTANT throat clearing and hacking...Ughhhh..Now, here it is again!!! the entire time since he took the witness stand up to this point, he was just worrying about his image possibly bbeing tarnished in relation to his own personal flaws. his preliminary demeanor was pure confidence and honest. at the trial, he was worrying about the defense so much which made him nervous and willing to lie under oath to protect himself.
