@@Buddy713 yeah, lol. And the Golden Gate Bridge is just a tressle crossing a stream!! To start with...YOU ARE THE BOMB when it comes to these videos!! I grew up in the mud of east coast Maryland (Eastern Shore) way down in the swamps and sticks of a very small town called Quantico, Md. Google it and you'll see what I'm talking about! So I KNOW trucks that work!! You show some of the very best, but this one has that something special that's rare to find. You found it! Great job!! Anybody wanna by a small tressle across a stream?? Hehe.
Not even joking. That truck mainly sees patent and burnouts/donuts. Was built about 12 years ago. Engine, body, ect. And just drove ever since. One of my closest friends but I’ve been told is be dumb to get in this truck with him lol. Engine runs good but just a 460 that’s nothing extreme. Trucks actually going to his son when he gets a little older.
@@Buddy713 it reminds me of my '79 F250 Camper Special w/460. That was my daily driver for so long!! At one time I had 16 4wd's at once! I lived to drive in mud!! To me, a truck that would go through mud was the ONLY truck to have!! We made some wild ones, way before Bigfoot came on the scene, we were putting tractor wheels and tires on our trucks to get through the logging roads down there!! You are one of us!! You understand. Your friend with that sweet truck is another one! He's got it! Of course it won't go through the same stuff as a purpose built mud runner will, but you can start this, pull out of your driveway and know that WHATEVER mother nature hands you that day, you'll be able to make it back home!! And going someplace to have fun...oh hell yeah!! It's a beauty and he should be very proud!! And you sir, have the right kind of friends!! You have an amazing amount of fun ahead of you!! Maybe we'll see each other someday!!
I totally agree I have a older Ford Expedition that I'm itching to take off road!!!! Also had a 86 Chevy Suburban that I beat the snot out of!!! Been looking at newer expeditions but I wouldn't dare take them off road they would not last
Trucks aren't really trucks anymore. They're all luxury SUVs with a bed. Sure they have higher towing capabilities and better suspension, but they work trucks of old are gone and never coming back
Corey Rogers it’s the exact same thing you dumb fuck. The exact. That’s like saying a red apple is totally different from a green apple. Same shit different smell you dumbass
79 Ford trucks are some of the best looking trucks ford produced. Pure character! Ford pioneered the retro/modern remake of the muscle cars, they should do a retro/modern 79 pickup build! Cause I would buy one if they ever do!
Hell Yeah!!! Have 1977 F-150 short bed 4x4 standard, Inline 6... Love that old truck. My grandpa bought it new... He passed it on to me 21 yrs ago....still got it, sadly my gramp passed away this past summer.... Missed you grandpa (Cheii')...
I care about your family...sorry for your loss. I bet gramps is watchin' you throwin' mud sky high and tickled to pieces! Keep his memory alive by tellin others where you got your truck! Thanks gramps!! You are missed!!
Sure brings back memories! I had a similar build, with a 500hp fe block in a 75 f250 with a 79 front end. 10" of lift on 40s, about 20 years ago! Lol Your truck is Badass! Love it!!!
Paul Condie have a custom 75' 250 highboy myself. 3/4 cab on a set of dana 60's. all factory. air, slushbox, divorced...oh the storys i could tell. all she does is hurt feelings. the diesel boys nowadays cant understand what a real truck is and can do. but im sure u have a few storys put back urself lol
Elijah Brown I drove a Nasty 76 HiBoy in Highschool that had a 390 out of an old Mercury and a C6 with a 205.... I can't even count all the times that truck had another Ford, Chevrolet or Dodge hooked to the bumper and only ever lost one tug with that truck and that was to a F250 that had shitty tires and a 300-6.... loved that truck, ran 35x12.50 BFG AT's on 16.5 wheels for tugging and a set of wore out 9.00x16 Co-oP Super Traction Kings for the Mud Boggs. Man I miss that old truck, sold it about 20 years ago and have regretted it every day since
BROTHER RESPECT man that was brilliant love it GREAT WORK I've got a 73 F100 that I use for service work for the past 21 years never a problem love the USA from Australia.
Now that's just truly real OBS BFT those older trucks were always the best in strength and what a truck really should be used for which is power, but maybe you probably don't have good MPG, but you can't always get everything on point.
Taylor Woodward who is the whinny chevy boy? There is only 2 reply on this comment. I was not whinny btw, just pointing out that you need to overcome static friction-which is greater than moving friction.
I grew up with a Ford F250 high boy with 360 2bbl and the 4 speed with granny low. Great for low speed crawling off road on the farm. Being in the northeast, biggest problem was rust. The truck bed only lasted around 5 years. I suspect a good dual plane aluminum manifold and 4 barrel carb and electric choke would have helped fuel economy and ring wear. The heavy iron intake didn’t warm up fast. Being used off road so much, did a lot of repairs on u joints, axle seals, etc. Driving in deep water is fun but tough on machines.
