Great video guys. Always good to have an unbiased review of our kits. Love the sound of that SuperTigre. Keep up the great work!

Guys, I have exactly the same engine rig. I highly recommend trying it with an 11x7.5 prop Master or an APC 11x7. The engine runs great with those two props. I have the Super Tiger X60 with the same muffler on a Sig Kougar. You can't go wrong. Nice model you have. Enjoy this summer.

Thanks so much for the nice words I have found in my years to always test various props super Tigre had many variations of there blue heads some would produce more torque than others and some more rpm we ran the 11-7 and the 11-7.5 both ran well in fact to well producing 14200 on the 11-7 and 13850 on the 11-7.5 the 12-6 was 13200 that is a good happy range for me taking into consideration that it will gain more rpm in the air as it unloads. I’m very happy to hear you use the tigers as well I have also found they will run considerably better with an os type f plug thanks again and you have a wonderful summer as well

Looks like a winner! Not for the faint of heart or novices (which would be me) but looks like fun!

Actually it would surprise you with a little calmer engine or motor it would fly like a pussy cat we obviously have this one a little jacked up thanks for commenting

Well done guys! Looks great, always enjoyed Bill’s designs. I really like that you kept it glow! Does it have the original airfoil?
@martinkolm1796
@martinkolm1796 3 месяца назад
Yes it does it has the same upper reflex that he used. it is built up balsa and I do believe it’s a little lighter than the foam core thanks for commenting

My ST .45 out turns my OS .46 by 2K RPMs on same prop. Super Tigre you are missed.

Hey guys! Thank you for this channel and keeping old school modeling alive. Subscribed! I’m building a Quickie as we speak but I have one question that’s puzzling me to death. With that much dihedral why doesn’t the Quickie act more like a trainer when slowed down? Can’t wait to fly it because it sounds to me it will have unique flight characteristics. Thank you for your answer in advance.

Actually it’s not that bad when slowed down it’s pretty tame but when turned on it scoots

@@martinkolm1796 Thanks for reply Martin. Yes that’s kinda what I figured. This is the plane that got me interested in RC. A classmate of mine brought one to school for a science class project in 1979. His was a kit from Michigan Hobby Hanger I believe. I have also enlarged the Quickie plans 25% and plan to add ailerons as well. Curious about how you think it will fly?
@martinkolm1796
@martinkolm1796 2 месяца назад
Fred reese some 13 years after the quickie he designed a plane called fast freddy that was similar to the quickie he scaled it to a forty size made the airfoil symmetrical lengthened the rudder angle but he did not add ailerons it was still 3 channels it was very fast and would easily hang with most quickie 500 planes I would suspect yours will be similar only with an insane roll rate i would consider exponential on the ailerons lol. be careful with that and keep us posted thanks
