I’m torn over this one. The King’s guard walking up and bumping the rude lady standing in his way, EPIC! I smiled too much on that one. Reading the comments about how nice the horse is, yes I agree BUT my same issue still rings true that these parents who allow kids to walk up to a strange animal and put their fingers on his mouth and nose will be the same people who want to sue should that horse bite and really hurt a child or adult in the process. I just can’t believe that people are that clueless. I’ve owned horses and I’ve ridden most of my life but when I got hurt it was 100% my fault because I allowed myself to become complacent when I should’ve known better. I love watching these videos because it’s fascinating how clueless some people are. And that guard is getting a standing ovation from little ole me in NC. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I totally agree. I, too, was raise with horses, cattle, hogs, sheep, chickens, bulls, dogs, & cats. A animal is unpredictable no matter how much love, hope, & training you do. U have to be aware of Ll animals as well as humans. Thanks to all the guards for their service in the military. Thanks to who ever train these exceptional creatures of God🙏🦋🥰
@@angelquiros7561There is a sign alongside each horse, advising they could kick or bite. This is a military site, therefore the Guards and horses have right of way. Visitors are allowed the privilege of watching (not interferring with) the Guards and horses carry out one of their ceremonial duties. What is required from visitors is RESPECT, in exchange for being allowed to watch.
I agree! They don't realize a broken finger, or a missing finger could happen and I would be cheering the horse on for it! One of mine was mad I took too long with his hay one night and got hold of my jacket, down I went lol I told him I'll be sure to get that buffet ready on time after that, can't say I blamed him either we all get hangry don't we ❤
I don't understand. Most folks tell their children to never touch a strange dog. But they think it's ok to let their kids approach and handle a horse that could crush that child in seconds !!!
Yes, I don't understand it either. I grew up in Scotland with horses, sheep and dogs. These people have no respect for animals. Whoopee, I'm on a photo with horse and guard. Keep distance is what should be written there.
I used the same analogy saying how would people react if people came up and grabbed their dogs leashes and tried to pet them without asking. People already do that with service dogs all of the time. I don’t understand why people touch the horse let alone their tack. These are active duty military members alongside their working horses it’s not a petting zoo.
The number of children holding their fingers upright just under the horses mouth and looking away is shocking. One quick bite and fingers gone.Where are the adults?
Tourists should not be allowed to touch the guard and horses at any time, they are working and not for public entertainment. It is disgusting to watch the way people treat these horses, and because of the crowding around the horses the guards are unable to do their job. As things are at the moment it is a waste of time for the guards to be outside.
That's what they are public entertainment the bosses have made them that .the guards to push people out of the way is disgusting.let me say we would be arrested for assault.they hide behind a uniform. Sorry costumes
Algunos por desgracia no lo ven asi. Para ellos es simplemente una atracción, pero estos soldados y sus caballos están ahí con turistas o sin ellos. El hecho de que vistan de determinada manera es porque ese es su uniforme.
This is a working military facility so people should not impede the duties of the guards. The clue is in the word GUARD these troopers have a serious job to do and if you cannot move out of the way of a man of woman doing their duty then I have got to say you must be stupid. If we get drawn into another war these troops will be at the front protecting people like you who have no respect for them, but think they are there to be mocked by people like you!
I recognize that young gentleman up on the horse. He does a lot of the Gatesman. When he does kind of smile, it’s a nice smirk, and he really doesn’t like anybody around the horse or the reins because he will yell out.❤❤
The horse in the left side box is absolutely magnificent and the Guard sits his mount with authority and dignity. They are both a credit to their military unit!
Have you noticed just how some idiots slowly move to the reins get hold of them they must think the guard 💂 won't notice but he's an accomplished 🐴 man so he's going to notice you silly woman god bless the guard 💂 god save the king 👑 💂🐴🌹🇬🇧 xxxxx
What a super friendly horse. I admit I have little knowledge of horses or their temperaments, but I do get extremely worried when I see young children so close to a big animal. Love that guard too, with his lovely smile and dimples.
It always amazes me how people can be so stupid around these magnificent animals, all credit to these guys because I'd be yelling at them to leave my horse alone 😂
Why is it so important to u that u need to have your pic taken w/horse? You're just as bad as the rest of the rude people..The horse & guard are not there for your entertainment..You're the true definition of a baffoon.
This horse is a credit to his nature such a gentle soul the amount of kids that stick there fingers up near his mouth and could easily get knocked by the horses head but the horse seams aware of what he can do and is so gentle and even moves his head around slower he has great spacial awareness this horse is one in a million and seems to enjoy his role
While I agree that this horse has a great attitude about this job and the trooper is calm and grand, just one kid incident, regardless of fault, and all hell breaks loose. This isn’t a petting zoo or a free for all photo opp! Require permission to touch the horse. That way the trooper can assess the crowd and his mount first! These guys/gals and these horses are exceptional. Thanks to them all!
This is such a gentle horse and so patient with the children. Just love watching this. And yet I am disgusted by some tourists who are so blind and full of themselves that they don’t even see somebody is already trying to take pictures. Nuhh they just going to stand in front of those people who are waiting for their turn. .
The Kingsguard's horses are absolutely beautiful. I don't think I've ever seen such a beautiful shade of black before. The Kingsguard takes excellent care ❤ of these magnificent creatures!!
That’s great that you appreciate them, however, there are no Kingsguard’s Horses! There are the two regiments that form the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment, The Blues and Royals and The Life Guards which confusingly together form The King’s Life Guard! The Kings Guard are the Foot Guards who guard outside Buckingham and St. James Palace.
There was a moment, when a child could not move away from horse, because someone walk close by. The horse could have easily knocked the childs head through no fault of his/ her own. Tourists seem so unaware of any risks here, especially with children.🇬🇧🤨
I have a close friend that was killed instantly from a gentle kick, horse was kicking a fly. Owner was sitting just right under horse’s shoulder, looking at leg. Gone when hoof hit his forehead, innocent horse and owner! Horse was not angry just being a horse. These are 1,000 pounds of muscle, horses need to be feared and respected! They are not TOYS. Parents realize this and take my advice, ask before you pet! Be respectful!!
Most of the King's Guard Horses are Geldings, ,earning basically neutered male horses. I'm trying to be polite how I word it, so hope anyone reading understands why. They do have mares though also, just not as many.
Looking through the box you can see a woman taking pictures of the horse from behind then she actually bends down to get another shot. I have no idea why anyone would want a picture of a horse's rear end in their photo album. maybe she is confused as to which end looks best in a photo.
@@user-oo2dv9qq2h I don't think standing that far back gives a clear shot of the Guards back beast plate seeing he is wearing a cloak maybe she has X Ray vision. I still think she is confused at which end of the horse looks best in a photo. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Maybe I’m always cautious but when the sign right next to the horse shows that the horse may bite or kick why would you put your small child right next to the horse’s mouth?
@@sandramorris8172 The point being made by BarbaraPearce9738 was that "She didn't hit anyone", it was the guard doing the hitting - quite legitimately of course!
That one should be a therapy horse. Remember lots of these people will never have seen a horse up close before. It’s lovely to see how much joy he brings to those people today. Especially the kids. He’s such a nuzzler ❤️
We DO remember this. However, if you want a nice, gentle “almost” certain to not bite horse, go to a therapy horse, not a horse that’s trained for parade work. Yes some of them love people…..some don’t, and will punish idiots. They do their job, but smooching up to strangers isn’t it. If you’re scared of horses don’t approach them because even the most gentle horse can be set off by stupid squeals and jumpy movements, and approaching, then leaping away if the horse so much as looks at you, is really annoying to the horse.. if the horse evades your hand, rolls it’s eyes and throws it’s head with its ears pinned back flat, LEAVE him the HELL ALONE….just DONT keep pushing.
@@paulinemegson8519 They would sense my fear of them then? . I was kicked by one , a big 14 hander and it has left me terrified of them since!! I would be behind those bollards without being asked, actually i would!be across the road in all truthfulness but at LEAST i know that so wouldn't approach the Horses there.
That horse is the friendliest horse there if you don't pet him he will get your attention some how. He needs to be somewhere awesome to live even with good behavior kid's!!! I've been watching for five weeks now. It's 12-11-23 2:23am. Mountain time in Montana.
I don’t understand why people think it’s so funny when this soldier or any soldier hast to walk past them they’re not actors in the comedy show that active duty military personnel get the heck out of the way and don’t laugh at them. Would you like to be walking down the street and being laughed at that’s pretty dang rude.
I’m afraid it’s going to take some idiot tourist to get hurt before the authorities put boundaries in to protect the guards and their horses. I feel for the horses. They must feel smothered sometimes. 😢😢
I truly just like the fact that a lot of these tourist and the parents of these little children, they allow their kids to walk up to an animal they don’t even know and put their hands in the horses face around its mouth and the science date that they could bite and the parents don’t seem to care it’s just this so stupid respect the soldier on duties upon the horse. Don’t ask him stupid questions they’re not allowed to talk to you they’re working and don’t try to make them laugh and smile they’re on duty they can be severely reprimanded just can’t get over how ignorant some people really are😮😮😮😮
I agree 💯 with the comment above clueless people my father had horses all his life we were brought up with them too but you must treat theses animals with great respect.
Why are some children not supervised by an adult? So, if anything happens to that child, the innocent horse & the guard will get the blame? It is an accident waiting to happen. That horse is gorgeous & patient but It is being swamped by the crowds. Something needs to be done to keep the tourist at bay.
I don’t think they should be allowed to touch the horses, it’s like a petting zoo, no respect shown to guard or horse it’s disgraceful behaviour, need a longer list of restrictions, not like they will heed them
This horse is a real people person. He loves the attention and the children. The Guard knows his horse and would not allow people near him if there was any danger. As for tickling the horses nose, what do you expect when they see the Boxman, CoH and other troopers doing exactly that,
I have just come across this video. The woman with the little blonde girl really did put her daughter at risk. When the child got upset because I think the horse may have tugged her hair, am I correct or did I hear Correctly the woman say To the little girl “ Aw, didn’t he like you?” I can’t be 100.% sure as my speaker is broken and I’m also hard of hearing. The lack of CC’s dosen’t help either. Anyway if that is what she said then she should be downright ashamed of herself. You should never tell a child or make the child believe one or something does not like them. Instead she should have said sorry to the little one for putting her harms way and told her the the fault lay at her (the adult) feet. Explain why then take the child somewhere for a nice treat like ice cream etc. That woman should look in the mirror everyday for a week and tell herself that no one likes her, once she realised that it is affecting her life she should then stop and start saying the opposite to herself and see how long it takes for her to believe it, it’s very easy to bully a child into thinking they are no good even if it’s for a short time, it can take a lifetime for that Child To believe in her/himself again. It infuriates me as I’ve witnessed this and it’s heart wrenching.
My question is, have these people never been around a horse before. I don’t understand them at all. Wish they would have the sign say don’t touch the horse.
That woman wasnt rude. Click bait. She didnt even see the guard coming because she was busy looking at the horse. You had nothing else to film and no one doing anything wrong so you made this up.
