Whether you say a written prayer or you speak from your heart only. As long as you truly put your faith in Christ you are saved. All of us will continue to sin the difference is we have the spirit of God to make us aware of how bad sin really is and to help us to sin less often and to turn to him when we do.

When I first became a christian; I literally couldnt get enough of God's word. I wanted to change; in the depths of my heart i truly wanted to change. Pray daily, read your bible, cry for the sins in the world and in your life. Break yourself down for the sake of Gods will. As long as we are truly seeking to get closer to God and see changes of growth; we have assurance that we are in His will. Once we are truly saved; God will make things happen in your life to keep you on the path. Read Pilgrims Progress for a deeper understanding of this and see if your life parralels with John Bunyan, and talk to other christians to gain more insight to see if your experiencing those same changes. We shouldnt be confused about our salvation. Its a free gift that we dont deserve; and we know we dont deserve. Christians are sinners that are saved by grace; wordly non believers are sinners on death row. Lets get out there and show the non believers that there is a way out of the death penalty.

CHRIST commanded us to REPENT, to be separate & have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness. When CHRIST baptizes a believer in His HOLY SPIRIT, HE empowers the believer to crucify the flesh, to live a renewed life in consecraton & holiness unto GOD- not sinlessness, but resisting sin. It means sincerely loving GOD, putting Him & His WORD first, hating evil. GOD's grace is no excuse to sin, but when we fall short & ask GOD to forgive us, He is merciful & faithful to forgive us.

When you get saved you give your life over to god it comes from your heart.....god becomes the centre of your world god comes first everything else comes second....you want to do the right thing for god and you do your best to please him because you want too......i dont go to a church and have lived this way 25 years now and love god more than the day i met him on a chilly october morning.....

because of all the negativity that had happened to me, child abuse being one of them, I have taken back my life, reclaimed my faith (I had faith in God before any of those terrible things happened to me) and re-established my relationship with God. I've even made a vow to myself, to others and, most importantly, to God, that never again, will I allow my faith to be compromised and never again, will take the Lord for granted. And I have no intention of breaking that vow.

I really enjoy your videos. I was basically born and raised in a Southern Baptist Church but as a young adult I "branched" out into another path. I never liked the small box that folks have always seemed to try to fit God into - because you can't fit God into a box. The Great Spirit, or God, is much, much more than our minds can imagine or comprehend - at least in my opinion. I like your openness and non judgmental approach to the questions presented to you. I like that you speak from the heart and if you don't know something you simply say so. Looking forward to watching more of your videos.

He is in your heart. I ask god to give you his spirit in jesus name. I also have a short n simple prayer. Open your hands and ask come holy spirit. Then pray whatever is on your heart.

I agree with the church thing. One doesn't have to go to church to have a relationship with God. Kathy Ireland is a very devout Christian and she doesn't go to church. She says, in her book "Powerful Inspirations", that she doesn't go to church anymore because, as a child, when she went to chutch with her parents, the Pastor's loud, booming voice frightened her. Osas does not teach that u say a prayer then go live how u want but ur not really saved. No. Once saved always saved teaches that once you are saved you will always be saved. That's it.

This one will throw a real curve ball to the admitting one sin you admit to all; the sin you admit to is that you're human. That admitted everything.

True, the "sinner's prayer" isn't some magical thing, but becoming a child of God can start with a prayer as long as it's genuinely from the heart. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:10). For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13, Joel 2:32, Acts 2:21). That's where the prayer comes from. I did it alone in my room when I was 11, it was just me and God. The "once saved always saved" topic, people argue over that too much. There's the far left - "I can live however I want, I said a prayer". Then there's the far right - "One sin and you're history. You better do this, this, and this or God is going to take away your salvation". Those like this are like a car that's out of alignment, and they need to pray that God helps them find some balance.

Jesus answered my prayers once, after I asked Him to "kill my pride" three times and on the third time He answered me saying *"I can't. It's already dead. I Am Living My Life through you."* This surprised me, I did not expect an answer, and certainly not what He said on top of that! Later on I learned of Paul speaking of being crucified with Christ, and no longer Paul who lives but Christ Jesus Who Lives within now. This matched up exactly with what the Lord told me! Amazing. This happened over 20 years ago as a teenager, new in the Lord about 2 years in. The full story is seen on my channel, in the DISCUSSION area I posted it, if you want to see a little more detail. Anyway, the point is, our sin is DEAD to those who are Born of JESUS' Holy Spirit! We need not worry anymore! Indeed, once saved, forever saved! 😊

We must turn from the old sinful lifestyle we lived before we were saved. WE must be born-again. Sinfulness includes all things GOD declares in His WORD that is sin...Sinfulness includes unbelief, lying, sexual immorality, lasciviousness, fornication, adultery, homosexuality, murder, hate, unforgiveness, dissentions, idolatry, sorceries, astrology, loving the world, drunkenness, lukewarmness, greed, pride, conceit, fear of man, fear of evil, dishonoring your parents, gossip, profanity, etc...

The issue I have with the "once saved, always saved" theology is people believe that they can say a prayer, then live a lifestyle that is not pleasing to Christ and not ask for forgiveness, not try to have a relationship with Him, and utterly take advantage of God's mercy and grace. Yes, we've all fallen. We all sin daily in some way or another. But we continue to have a relationship with God, we talk to Him, and we let the Spirit tell us when we've done wrong. Do people believe that those who once prayed a prayer and became saved who later profess as atheists lose their salvation? Genuine question.

1 Corinthians 15 : 1-4 is salvation never to be lost once it is truly believe it.. not head knowledge or casual knowledge it's Faith from the Heart and there is no 100% proof you can tell a real saved person and non saved.

2 Peter 2:21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. It's not what we thing or mans knowledge that we believe. It's the word of God. If no one could read, sure we could be saved by faith. If we seek the true living God he reveals himself. But he took a lot of care to get the Word of God written so we could live for him. Of course we all sin but not practice sin.

Ever notice the same people who say "You can't say once saved always saved, are also the same people who use scare tactics at alter calls, and be like "IF you died tonight, on the way out here would you go to heaven??" How often have you heard that? Also,a lot of the african slaves could not read. Some of the members in my family were not able to read, but knew God better than almost anyone I knew.

Proof you can't lose salvation. A sinners prayer is a Good start ! Jesus stands at the door & Knocks, so a sinners Prayer should invite him in. Remember they sinful man that Prayed "God be Merciful to me a sinner" he went home justified... I think one problem sometimes is, when in ones mind &/or heart, they are Holding something back, like maybe even saying a sinners prayer but are think , unless I gotta give up pot or money or marriagless sex.... then your not accepting him as LORD ! at least be wiilling to surrender all !

one sure sign is that if you sin, you wont feel comfy with it. We get things wrong, of course, but being involved in something thats willfully sinful, wont sit very well with our consience

What if it wasn't thru a sinner's prayer. . . but actually asking for forgiveness of sins. . . are people like this always saved? . . . or can they end up walking away from God at some point - maybe they lose their faith and say "I've been lied to" or something along those lines and then sin?Ezekiel 18:21-24“But if a wicked person turns away from all the sins they have committed and keeps all my decrees and does what is just and right, that person will surely live; they will not die. How can we identify a perverted gospel? When any human works are added to the finished work of Christ as a requirement to receive salvation, it is a perverted gospel. Please read Galatians 1:6-12 KJV.

It's called 'eternal security'~~once saved, always saved. I'm an atheist and and even I know that. Baptist believe in eternal security. Baptists are of one of the strictest of the Christian denominations. If you are saved and fall back into 'sin', then either you weren't truly saved to begin with OR you are 'backslidden'. Either way, one needs to get right with god. OMG, did the atheist just proselytize?!?!

Mt 7:21 - not everyone who says Lord Lord will inherit heaven. Mt 24:13 -those who persevere to the end will be saved. Rom 11:22- remain in his kindess or you will be cut off. Gal 5:4 -separated from Christ youve fallen from grace. Heb 6:4-6 - describes shares in Holy Spirit that have fallen away.... Heb 10:25- do not forsake the congregation....

The sinners prayer is not biblical people! When God saves a person, they do not lose their salvation. Repentance unto salvation is a supernatural work of God the Holy Spirit, and not our own. Everyone thinks that "once saved always saved" is people who think they say a stupid false prayer and so can go on sinning like nothing! No! The truth is we will always be sinners in narure, who were born into sin. That does not take away from the fact that God saves, and once He does, He does not let that person go. Yes they will sin, but the difference is that the Holy Spirit will come and convict that person so that they will ask God for forgiveness, recognizing that it is His power, and His strength that is needed to overcome temptation and to sustain us in our weakness. Jesus Christ died for our sins, shed His blood for us, and raised HIMSELF up on the third day, not you or I. and it is the ones who think that they can somehow lose their salvation, and are always striving to please God with their performance relying on their own strength who don't know what salvation is. If it were up to us, then we would not need a Savior. And Jesus died for nothing according to you who think that. You call that works, and give yourself credit for a righteousness that simply is not yours! Thise are the legalistic ones, not the ones who recognize our salvation is from God and for God, and not our own doing or help. So NO you cannot lose your salvation if indeed God has saved you. If not, then you are one of the many who think they are saved based on your own performance. That is no salivation at all.

Just because you go to church doesn’t Garuntee you will go to heaven. I don’t believe that any prayer should be continuously said. Jesus- yeshua said, “ pray not in vain repetition for your father know what you have need of him.” when Jesus said thy kingdom come prayer, was a means of praying from the heart. About the always saved.. like this guy said, you are a new person when you are really saved. which makes sense when god says, “ I shall not suffer the righteous to be moved.” or how he will not let anyone take you from his right hand. or when Jesus said that parable about the rock. It’s talking about your foundation of faith and trust. yeshua is your foundation. He is the eternal everlasting rock. there are plenty of scripture to confirm that once saved always saved is false, atleast not In the wag you think. First you have to consider, have I really been reborn? because there are a lot of sheep in wolves cloning. this man really has a good understand of the basics of what it means to be reborn.. never judge a man by his appearance. I can tell that his man, has gone through a different life wit the tattoos and all but all in all seems like a genuine guy and have not sensed any disinformation. Everything he’s said is correct,if you read your scripture you would know this.

That’s not what once saved always saved even is. It’s a 1st Baptist doctrine that came out of the 5th point of Calvinism. The Perseverance of the Saints. That’s the fifth point of Calvinism but this is in regards to someone who is saved someone who is in Christ who has been re-generated by the Holy Spirit to be set apart and holy for God. That person has been elected by God to be justified and glorified, to have eternal life. In Calvinism this is what is taught that God, from eternity, has predestined the one who is truly in Christ, to have eternal life. That person cannot lose their salvation. See? It’s not about a sinners prayer for Calvinists nor is it for the Baptist with once saved always saved as they are Calvinists they just call the Perseverance of the Saints by a different phrase. It’s all about God predestining the true believer from eternity to not be lost.
