I already pre order this device on may. Was wondering is remix os compatible to this device? But i am not profesional on these lond of area, are you able to test it out and give a review on it?
How many pins or wires are there in the speaker connector? Maybe this can be modded to have stereo speakers (by adding one speaker on the right grill)?
Thank you very much for your reviews. I love such a small computers and to be honest, I am kind of sad that OneMixYoga is now 8.1" big. I prefered the pocket-size version and I hoped they would preserve it. I hope they would consider making the 7" version too. GPD pocket doesn't make "yoga" devices.
They still make the smaller one. This is just a new form factor. There naming is a bit confusing. The bigger GPD model is the P2 Max which makes more sense as a name. Although Max is not a great name for a mini laptop

Is there heat on the keyboard since it is aluminum? 4. Can you extend the time of the backlit light when you're not typing? For how long? Thanks.
Hey so I just picked this up. Should Minecraft be laggy? As far as I can tell, the specs are better on this than my MacBook Pro from 2015. This thing has 16gb of ram as opposed to half that on my MacBook. For some reason it doesn’t seem as fast as it should. Any ideas? Was my MacBook better? Also it said 512 gb of space, but it looks more like 380 or so when checked in configurations. Please help me out. Thanks man
HI Brad, I'm unable to change the screen brightness in Windows 10 on my Onemix 3. It only works in Ubuntu (I have a dual boot Win10 & Ubuntu). Could you test this in Windows with your Onemix 3? I did reinstall Windows on my device so it could be a driver issue but I cant find drivers for the Onemix 3 :(
@@Liliputing Thanks for the feedback, yes I agree it sounds more and more like a driver issue in Windows. I think I need to look for the specific driver(s) but I don't know the name of the drivers I need and I can't find any website for specific OneMix drivers. In device manager I have: - Display adapter: "microsoft basic display adapter" - Monitors: "Generic PnP Monitor" I think I need to update/download these manually (I always get the message the best drivers are already installed). Could you let me know what name you see in your device for the display adapter and/or monitor" Maybe I can download them somewhere if I know the brand or name of it. Update 2019/07/02 Problem solved after installing the correct drivers via the intel update assistant. One notebook has a driver download page on their website (www.1netbook.com/download/) but it does not contain the drivers for the Onemix 3 yet...

GPD P2 and this one are almost ideal for the DIY thing I was trying to make... basically PC gaming in a Switch style form factor. Well, this one is better because of the tablet mode. Just needed to get one of those spring loaded bluetooth gamepads that fits a smartphone or tablet in between and jerryrig it together. I know it wouldn't be able to run the latest triple A titles, but I have such a huge list of indie games on Steam that it'd pretty much eliminate my needs of having a portable dedicated to gaming only... Considering other uses and how much more expensive games are on the Switch, it's pretty tempting. The only problem is pricing. Just too much to justify. Which is not a strike against these companies... looking up a bit, unfortunately it's just a fact that core M3 and M5 devices are pretty expensive. Just that people don't have much basis for comparison, which I also didn't. Give people with similar doubts an idea, the other tiny device I found that also has a core M3 CPU in it was some of the latest Intel Compute Sticks. The m3 model, which is mostly out of stock, costs around 450 to 500 bucks. GPD P2 and this one is on the 700 to 800 bucks mark. If you add up battery, touchscreen, keyboard, extra ram (Compute Stick only has 4Gb), extra storage ( Compute Stick only has 64Gb) and the fact that the CPU on these run faster (the ones on Compute Stick are slower but consume less power)... well, the price is kinda right. I can't afford it, but I also can't argue with the price. You are paying for portability. There are also a bunch of other laptops running Chrome OS or even Windows on the more standard 13 to 14" laptop form factor at the 500 price point. But most of those also have the Intel Compute Stick configuration - a slower version of Core M3, less RAM, less internal storage, some without touchscreen. And of course, they can mark down prices because they are using standard sized screens and laptop chassis/components. Which makes them less portable, which wouldn't fit my purposes. Oh well, perhaps I'll cave in if I find a good deal, but I'll just wait a bit more. Just considering ways of reducing the electronics I take on trips...
Such Ipad will not run on x86... Most serious programs demand the x86 architecture. Furthermore, it can run both windows 10 and linux. The Ipad cannot compete with it. Different purposes.
@@taocry The Microsoft Surface Go is not a proper competitor as it has a much slower CPU, much less RAM, and not only less storage, but also, it's via eMMC, which is a much slower interface.
I paid 738 usd for the mix 2s mission impossible with 8gb 256 ssd . I also own a surface pro i7 16gb 1tb . I use the mix at work and gave the surface to my gf. the surface costed way more. and I am very satisfied with the mix.
I kind of agree. Cost is way too high but that said this is exactly the type of device I do want. I want an email and news reader in the 8in form factor that can occasionally be used laptop style and can hook up to desktop Keyboard/Monitor/Mouse. This fits the bill more than anything else out there right now. Here's to hoping they reduce the price but that it is not discontinued.
