Tip: Using the 8 round MP-133 magazine only has -2 ergo compared to the 8 round MP-153 magazine which has -6 ergo. They are interchangeable so I’d always go with the MP-133 magazine!

You can actually have the 133 8 rnd mag with the 153. The 133 8 rounder has actually got better ergo than the 153 mag so its better

When you hear that suppressed shotgun tread extremely cautiously

Last wipe, I got 7 of my Shooter Born kills with 6.5mm Express. Been using them exclusively this wipe. Doesn't matter what kinda armor they're wearing or how bad your aim is, if they don't have a face shield, you're rolling the dice on headshots. Besides the Saiga, there's no other gun that can put 81 chances at a headshot down in such a short time. Also, surprised you didn't mention the 133 Tactical trade. Once you have Jaeger leveled, you can get cheap attachments, but before that, that trade is your only way to access (without overpaying) the Remington choke and SPRM mount with a red dot. It also gets you a foregrip you can stick on assault rifles that normally runs 10-20k; you can take this and the choke off and sell it back for a profit. You have to know about the buckshot spread glitch if you're gonna use it, though. Pellets are much more likely to hit around the edge of the spread than they are to hit anywhere near the middle, so if you miss your shot slightly, you're more likely to hit than with perfect aim (this is also why buckshot scavs land so many headshots; the shots they're supposed to miss hit more than the ones they're supposed to hit).

I literally fell in love with shotty on a scav run last week. Had a guy bust in on me in crackhouse. One shot and he was out. Since I'm newer into this wipe the meta ammo is way outta range. Will be using this for most pmc engagements. Great videos man, I've learned so much from your stuff. Keep it up

Hello, small correction here. You can use the MP-133 and the MP-153 interchangeably. That way you can access the higher capacity magazines at a low level.

People really underestimate the power of Flechette. For example, using Battle Buddy, it takes AP-20 5 shots to get a Slick down to a 90% chance to penetrate, whereas Flechette will zero a Slick in 2 shots. Will AP-20 outperform level 2-4 armor, with possible 1-taps? Maybe. But Flechette is always 2-3 tap. Flechette > AP-20 vs class 5 and 6 armor. I actually confidently fight chads with flechette, and win about as often as when I use 5.56 or 7.62

Yo.. 153, 8 round mag, and flechette ammo. Just used that to finish punisher 5. just ran factory, no armor. finished in like 8 raids.

One thing to remember is always take out loaded ammo out of chamber when you buy shotty on flee otherwise your first shot may be some shit buckshot instead of ap/magnum

The saiga is my favorite shotgun, with slugs and the monster claw it really destroys I feel. I ACTUALLY started using the "Bossberg" and basically made it just like deadlyslob's fraud cannon, and even tho its pump, I tend to have a much more fun using that and it usually comes back. The fact you can mod it up to look super cool is nice.

Express buckshot with leg meta has actually done wonders for me and my friends in the past. It has really tight pellet spread at the good range, so you'll be sure to hit at least a couple so long as you're aiming. Combine that with the 8 round mag and you've got yourself a player wrecker. Hell, I've killed more than one Altyn chad on factory with Express buckshot by legging them.

Could definitely use the Mossberg shotgun too. Cheaper on flea, comes with great iron sight and 8 round tube stock.

You actually can put the MP-133 extended magazine tubes on the MP-153. The 8 round MP-153 mag tube is cheaper anyway, so you'd only ever use the MP-133 tube if you took it off a scav shotgun or something.

i only put a cobra sight on a mp 153 with 8 round tube and then its just lets go got with that a squad of vector warriors

19:00 I've killed players and scavs with using 8.5mm buckshot across the valley before. The pattern is basically as tall as a person so you land rounds all over them. Can get a mix of headshots, leg/arm shots, and in general make a bad day for someone. Not something to do all the time but fun when I was budget running quests with a shotgun.

Today was Shotgun Revitalization Day... just watched a video of a scav run crackin heavy PMCs with a Toz.... now Jesse pushing leg meta. When will this insanity end! ;) Love the video man, personally I love shotguns and always have. For my dirty casual self shotties have helped keep my rubles stacked, thanks to the drops I started this wipe with 100 AP20 rounds, firmly cementing me into a default boomstick. Now, they need the AA 12 (full auto shotty), Kel Tec's KSG and the Tavor TS12 (and their optional sized barrels/mag stacks) and I'll be happy for a while.

The choke and flashets is a deadly combo you tek ppl with it

Fraud Cannon needs its own comic in the game universe because good lord does it do the trick.

The PILAD shotgun sight is a wonder. I hit 100+ yard shots on scavs all the time with it and it works well at short range too. It's stupid cheap and only need a ribbed barrel to mount

BP ammo + SKS is God Mode.

Personally ive been having loads of success with Flechette, 2 tapping people with level 4 armor in the chest and in general just scaring thick bois off by peppering their altyn faceshields.

the recoil on magnum buckshot is insane, if you have it in an unmodded shotgun and don't try and compensate for it, your gun will end up pointing at the sky after the first shell.

What you can actually do in Tarkov (and there is oly one game so far of which I know of which allowed this as well) is loading different schells. Ir change them. So Your First shot is an AP-20,the second is a Flechette and the next one Mangung and then Express. I guess you're seeing where this is going. Or you could do Slug-Buck-Slug-Buck-Slug-Buck. That may be difficult in-raid but that's where the Saiga and magazines come in

I slaughtered 3 pmc with my Saiga running factory. Then my buddy killed the other 2 so we owned the raid. Shotguns are very good if used correctly. I'm surprised you didn't mention magnum buckshot! One pellet to the face and it doesn't matter how bad ass your helmet is. So long as they don't have a face shield lol. I've dropped fat PMCs at range no less. Very cheap and very effective!

The 153 and SKS have consistently been getting me entire kits on my scav runs this wipe.

MP-133 (the pump-action one) with the same stock setup, using AP-20 is basically a cheaper and more cumbersome Mosin.

I’m pretty sure if you’re running a suppressor on the 153 you cannot actually use the 153 8 round tube, it doesn’t fit. But if you purchase the 133 8 round tube it WILL fit on the 153 and have the clearance needed for the suppressor. Good vid tho. Keep em coming.

Jesse here is a tip: at 5:04 you mention to make sure to purchase the 153 version of the 8 round mag extension, BUT you can actually run the 133 version and it actually has better Ergonomics for pretty much the same price.

Ive gotten a 220m headshot kill with magnum buck, none of the other buckshots seem to even come remotely close to shooting at those ranges.

Psa, you can use the 133 magazine for the 153, it actually gives you a hint of erg :D

153 vs Saiga in my simple mind : 153 doesn’t require magazines, which is a pro in terms of inventory capacity, but a con in terms of reload speed. The 153 is also very cheap to run with a choke on it. Saiga on the other hand can use almost any optic without compromised vision, and the thing can be modded to look friggin sweet. Unfortunately the mag situation puts you in a weird spot, but my god do I love running long range optics with AP-20. I wish the 153 gave you more options in terms of mounting.

I havnt bought a gun in tarkov since level 15 I bought a bunch of glocks just so I cough have mechanic 2. Used them for the pistol pmc quest as throw away guns. The cheapest gun is whatever they are having with a nipple ring or cobra sight.

Sawed-off with cylinder choke, buckshot, Raptor grip & 3x 2U Klesch flashlights will be blind-firing meta. Someday.

The KS-23M with star 10 rounds with the lvl 4 6B3TM armored rig is my favorite budget chad leg destroyer shotgun 45k from Prapor at the time of this comment Star 10 rounds, 80 rounds @ 88 roubles a round is insanely cheap rig is 50k which makes the whole kit run for 100k give or take a couple thousand roubles

Early wipe I would take a siaga12 with the 20 round drum mag full of magnum buck and a couple of 5 round mags. 90% of the time it all comes back from insurance That 8x2 beast looks nice to use up my stacks of ammo

I guess the biggest issue i have with shotguns is unless you're rockin flechettes super close, or ap-20, you HAVE TO aim at the legs, and that's just unnatural for me. Coming from many other shooters, aiming at the legs requires me to stop and think about it, while aiming at high chest and head is natural. I can't deny that you're likely to get the weapon back every raid you take it into, though minus most of the attachments if you put any on.

The mossberg 590a1 is insanes well guys, in these days doing some shotgun quest i have to say that it's hella fun to run. And if you are an ergo player like me you can reach 93 ergo and jusz yesterday i 1 tapped a guy with m700 and m61 on the first shot in the head with magnum pellets.

I'm literally playing this gun (with monster claw muzzle) non stop for last 2 weeks, it's such fun, 1-2 shotting slickers in stomach is hilarious

Protip, it doesn't have the be the 153 tube, you can use the 133 tube and it loses less ergo than the 153 despite being entirely the same.

For the record, not only will the 153 accept the 133 8-round extension, but it's ergo will improve because of it.

Saiga with 10 rounders, Ana tactical rig. Some attachments and you're good to go. Noone is going to take your ANA tactical rig because its fucking huge. I receive it back from insurance all the time.

Just listened to the latest POGcast, wanted to say your videos are amazing, keep up the good work.

Played Tarkov a long time but didnt really find a firearm i felt completely comptable with. I mean like a PP19 was good & i really liked most of the Assault carabines. Picked up a 153 everything just clicked. Mainly for single player of cause. Being able to instantly & continually reload while in active combat is probably the biggest plus, but the cheapness & storage saved on not having to carry magazines is quite notable too. The Jaeger trade is also viable now that red screwdrivers has dropped in price again, not that it really matters this late of cause, but still.

As someone who is new to the game and not super great at FPSs, the mp153/ap20 strat is the shit. Dorms is way less scary just BLASTING some chad twice in the chest and dropping him

I always go with MP-133 8-round magazine, as you can't use the silencer with MP-153 equivalent!

The Saiga has a sight mount on the side. So you can mount a pso scope or B-13 rail platform and any magnified sight on it and the eye relief is very good.

I noticed the 5.25 buck says "subsonic". Could you, in theory, put a suppressor on that gun and basically fire untraceable shots at people? I had a VAL snipe at me on customs from sniper hill down to storage next to chemical. I literally did not know I was being shot at. I thought the game was breaking because my arm just randomly went black. I wonder how the strategy would function if this would actually work with shotguns.

This gun is what i used every single raid till i had bit farm up. Mp153 8.5 mm aim chest and get head taps or 2 tap a leg

If u find them sell the parts they are worth more than the 29k if it has the plastic stock not the wooden/pistol

I ve been destroying pmcs from lvl 10 to almost 25 with that combo and it is really very good! nice video, keep up the good work!

Loved the video but you missed or didnt want to show the barter from skier for the keys. I buy the keys for about 8k to 11k and do the trade. Making this the most cost effective gun in the game. That opens up 20k rubles you would normally use to buy it to load up all your extras that you want. Make sure you push the prapor quest line to open up the hex 12 gauge silencer. It wont let you add it to the gun in the preset modding but if you buy the adapter and buy it directly from him it turns green and can be added. On a good key day that it costs 2k,2k,4k for the keys making a 8k gun the proper hex silencer is like 21k and make sure to get the mp-133 8 round mag as the 153 8 round mag has a decrease in reload speed but they are interchangeable. .. making it 31k then add any sight on it and your still under the 50k.. its insanely great

I have 500m kills with the 153. I have run valday 1x/6x scope on it at one point wasn't that great but it was amazing when hiding etc. 153 is the best sniper shotgun
