The start of the One Take series! I showcase some pretty incredible games with lots of damage/kills/xp, and that isn't representative of an average game for me. In this series I will play 2 games in each featured ship to give you an idea of a normal game in it.

Consider making this a separate play list and label the episodes. So this could be One Take Ep 1 Yamato. That way it's much easier for your viewers to find stuff.

I like this - It's hard to square the frequent frustration of BB gameplay with the cherry-picked supergame videos that appear online. Getting the live thought process gives me ideas about how to face similar circumstances.

Great series idea. I agree that there's a need to have people showcase more average games. Everybody always showcases their best games and their worst, these are always going to be the outliers. When you're trying to decide if you want to grind a line it's helpful to know what to expect in an average game. Those highlights are great, but having a fantastic game once in a while doesn't mean a ship is going to be good overall.

I love this idea for a full series. I will watch every one of these one takes you put out. Helps set realistic goals and expectations to consider for which ship lines to grind out next.

I appreciate these videos. I started playing the PC version this past October. I came from the console version. So understanding how to play these ships with the hundreds of other ship types in this version and not on console is very informative.

PQ… big fan. Thank you doing these kinds of uploads. I have about 4000 games.50% WR mostly BB with some CA sprinkled in.but this is the kind of things I need to learn. I have been shooting at the water line on every ship with my AP. I learned something very Valuable today. Keep it up.

Your content never disappoints, PQ. I'm mostly just casual f2p grinding a bit of everything, but I find myself watching your videos about ships I won't have for months just because your delivery is great and you always drop tips that are helpful regardless of what ship a given video is focused around. Edit: That being said, if you ever play mid tiers, I'm always excited to see you cover ships I'm actually grinding, but of course this is your channel so don't let me tell you what to do :)

I really like this video idea. As a new player I always feel a little weird when I hop into a game and then deal what seems to be really low damage. And then other games I deal really high damage. Always made me think that it's just RNG and doesn't have anything to do with my skill as a player. Seeing that you're not the only one having those types of games is really nice.

I really enjoyed this video, specially when you describe where to shoot at a thunderer, in the next one if you have time do it again. This way we learn not only the ship you playing but the enemies you playing

I like to shot the bow, cause at around 10-11km, you could get a citadel hit, especially on a slight angled ship, or cripple his turrets(very high chance), if the shells fly too high. And a high chance of a devstrike if he ever tried to use rear turrets.

Cool series idea, appreciate it and can't wait 4 more. To me its rather interesting and helpful to see some more average games than just the cherry moments where sun moon stars aligned 😃 Actually I prefer Shiki over Yamato becaus of higher mobility with rudder, better AA and the faster reload.

Hey PQ I think this is a great series - the most valuable part was definitely the emphasis on the thought process for your positioning As far as request for next ship: I'd like to something that contrasts to Yamato, so maybe something like Bourgogne or Kremlin

Great idea for a video series. And also kind of fitting you would start with my most-played classes of ships: Yamato 🙂 Given the current state of the game, it's funny how the IJN ships have held up. Shima is still a beast unless the CV finds you and is determined to ruin your game. But more often than not he gets frustrated by waiting out your smoke and moves on. Zao might be in the worst spot of all T10 IJN ships: Sure the dispersion is great and the HE damage is nothing to be ashamed of either. But the pen is terrible, the range is a joke and even the concealment isn't that amazing anymore given all the CVs and 12km radars and 4 DDs in most games...

You're right, playing a battleship is the most frustrating thing to do in the game. You are expected to push but every other class counters you more effectively than you counter anything other than other battleships. Cruisers can literally sit broadside to you, wait for you to fire, then just move a bit since your shells are so slow. Destroyers will almost always beat you in a 1v1 unless they're bad and you're lucky. Carriers... well... if they want, you'll die. Even when you do everything right, fire the best shot you could, the shells fly off sideways like you're pissing after nailing three strippers. If one of your shells does hit, it'll shatter or overpen. No wonder everyone just spams HE from the border of the map.

I'm not interested in the real grind to the Yamato just quite yet. I'm starting with some other lines because I've heard most of the line are stinkers. So this didn't help me directly, but I can't wait for more with ships that I am currently grinding or interested in grinding. I like the idea so I don't feel as bad for having really crappy games LOL

Fletcher next? My only t10 dd i dont have much time to play and that used to be the beast line after suffering 7k toprs with 6.5 concealment untill t8. I feel like it went away now all the new lines came in. I play mainly a torp boat with just a splash of guns. Like 75%torp 25%guns

Yeah, Yamato's biggest advantage over Shikishima is that it is far better against DDs. Bad short range dispersion and six shells mean most salvos simply miss.

I'm sorry, I am NOT dealing with 22.4s rudder shift, so I take the rudder shift mod. I will consider the dispersion upgrades, but I *abhor* turret traverse times slower than 50s.

I don't necessarily blame the dd for pinging you. So many battles I've been in where you have bbs camping in the back but also not really providing any support. I understand why they do it (you pointed it out in this video) and when they play well, it works. However, at least in the random battles I've been in, a lot of the cruisers and BBs that do it end up not contributing at all and leave the dds out to dry especially when the other team pushes in.

I like this style of video Can i ask, Do you think removing radio location skill on cruisers and DD's, but instead allowing BB's to take it would give BB's a form of counterplay against the stealthy buggers would make them more enjoyable The rock paper scissors thing is so pointless in this day and age.

Keep in mind, both games you had decent teams. I had 4 games in row where I had 8+ teammates who had less than 500pr on their ships

Is 20-40k damage decent for tier 5 ships? I’m very new and I don’t know if I’m very poor or average cause I really want to get the Yamato and IJN DDs

40k not that good but 20k is terrible. U will suffer from tier 8 to grind..

I average 97k damage and winrate of 53% in Yamato but haven't got any kraken yet.Is this normal?I played 950 games till now.

No offense, but with 950 games in total you are still a potato (unless i misunderstood and you meant 950 Yammi - games) Up to 1500 games is potato level imo and personaly i recommend to stick to T6 - T9 until then. Despite what many people say, the skill gap between T9 and T10 is still significant, so you might want to work on your aiming first. In addition i dont think Yammi is very good in getting a Kraken, most BBs aren't. The reload time is just too long. If you want more Krakens play a cruiser or destroyer and secure kills whenever possible. Especially heavy cruisers tend to be very good in getting many kills imo (high enough damage, ok reload time, meaning you can jump from target to target to finish them). But with the 30 sec reload time of most BBs the amount of salvos during the average match is quite limited.

I like the Yamato, but everytime I press the battle button with it I regret instantly. When there is a CV, or HE spammers (which happens quite often lol) I would prefer being in my Montana, for the better AA/DCP/heal.

or range mod to get at least similar vertical dispersion of legendery mod just because of range (as WG comusm logics :D). Tbh this games summs up perfectly BB experience last months. You just have to run and hope someone spots something (or you end up shooting BB's only) as you will get fucked over by invisible dd's.
