I hadn't made a video in awhile and I wanted to try something different this time around, but it didn't work out, because my phone and the software I was using kept switching screens and the wind was making it difficult. Things happen, but I'm still trying to release some content.

Everything looks nice and clean, you're making me want to do some fenderless rides!

Hey Jeff! Nice meeting you today. I’m pretty sure I’ll never go as fast as you, but it’s nice to have goals. Haha. #OldDudeOnewheelingGoingNiceAndSlow Hope to see you out on the trails again. Thanks for chasing me down. -Kevin

Hey Kevin, nice meeting you! It's not smart to go fast, I just get thrills from it and have had a few bad crashes before. It's really unnecessary to go fast because there are so many other aspects that make it enjoyable.

Love the video, but I'm just thinking the whole time "damn this guy's needs a helmet"

I usually wear one, but I agree

Truly! A 20mph fall could be devastating! Always wear your gear!

I see you ride past the pushback... How do you know when to stop pushing before the motor disengages?
@Grind671
@Grind671 6 лет назад
After a bit of experience with the board, you kind of can feel when it's struggling and can pull back a bit. I'm not really pushing, but instead lightly controlling the throttle with the bending of my back knee. I keep my weight back, in case of unexpected turbulence :P But for the most part, I try to just let the board do the work and pay attention to if it's starting to get weak or not. I haven't really thought of a good way to explain it, but that's what I have for now.

I was wishing I had a 360 cam, because recording with this setup is annoying.

What mode do you like riding in on the Street?
@Grind671
@Grind671 6 лет назад
I ride mission for everything. I feel the most connected in that mode, it's smooth and I can feel what the motor is doing

Hi, I was thinking about a set of those Best Rails for some extra clearance (by the way your intro was some heavy advertising!) but I've noticed that the Calibratedpower site is not loading, do you know anything about this?
@Grind671
@Grind671 6 лет назад
I just checked and the site doesn't work for me either. Post on "onewheel owners group" asking about it. The guy that makes them is on there. Another option is the Ruckus rails which are made of steel

I just happened to be wearing the hat when I went for a ride and noticed I was wearing it when I was looking at my phone screen while recording. But yeah, I support them 100% :)

dude... I know this is a year old... but how are you going that fast with out any Nose dives??? Thought 20mph is this limit for XR?
@Grind671
@Grind671 5 лет назад
An XR without a person on it can have its wheel spin at about 32MPH at full battery. There have been plenty of riders that have gone 27 to 29 MPH. It definitely becomes more dangerous above 20MPH. I don't recommend anyone ride fast, but it's doable.

Joku ... I remember this guy who went by Joku years back... we use to hang out at a game store back in Dededo called Dragons Lair. We use to chill there late nights hacking away on computers ... old IRC chat rooms, hack shit, play games, chill with the and. This that same Jeff?

Cool. How do you manage to go so fast? My top speed is only 18.
@Grind671
@Grind671 6 лет назад
Over time you get faster. Keep your front foot light, use your back foot for managing acceleration and stay leaning back over the wheel. Being lighter helps too. I ride at about 205lbs

What app are using for OneWheel?
@Grind671
@Grind671 6 лет назад
@@researchDarren I use the onewheel app. In this video I used a GPS app
@researchDarren
@researchDarren 6 лет назад
Any chance I can get a name on that gps app, my OneWheel seems to be stuck at 15mph no matter what mode I am in...but could be my heavy riding

It's called speedometer.
