One thing I'd suggest is add a couple more switches between track 1 and 2 of knapford. If you follow track 1 around, there's only one chance of getting off. You might want to add another chance of getting off track 1. Otherwise your plans look great. I don't know if you'll have room, but a model of Gordon's Hill is always a fun challenge
Thanks for your comment! I think I'll keep the track one points the way they are simply because there is probably enough chance for an engine to change tracks and if I put more elsewhere they won't be as convenient or as economical. But thanks for the suggestion! Also I tired adding Gordon's Hill but the Bachmann engines really can't make it up any sort of incline so it's best to avoid that I think.
This was pretty fun to see, any updates on this lately? :) And I whould also like to kinda make something similar, a big Thomas layout with Knapford station, Tidmouth sheds and such :) I already got lots of stuff to start with it, but just hope I will be able to get some space too someday, hehe! :)

Hi there, I've not actually built one big layout, the sets in my video are all small ones I build and then take apart. I cant build a big layout like this until I get a room to do it in, which isn't going to happen anytime soon unfortunately, bit if it does ill definitely make some videos on it
I don't like where the SR sheds are at. They should be near Crovan's Gate, not right next to Tidmouth sheds. There just isn't enough space. Also, are you even planning on making this layout? Or have you made it already?
Yes at the moment space is my only problem. I'm still looking for a place to build it but when I find one I'll start. I will need about a 4 by 4 metre room.
I love the layout idea, but I'm concerned about the narrow gauge curves. Since your plan for them is not to scale, it's likely that the curves are too tight. Maybe overlay an N gauge (HOn2) over it?
I am going to be planning the narrow gauge part separately soon - this is basically just an outline of whereabouts it would go. It just takes a lot of time and effort to do that. Thanks for your interest!
