Also Anakin's Crystal was not exposed, Sol's was, we don't even need the out of universe logic they clearly thought of this. Side note, is that a bracelet or a watch on your wrist? Either way I like it.

@@This_Justin998 it's a bracelet that I put a Jedi order pin into. I couldn't find it, so I just put the two together. Also physical contact is not required as Dagan Gera does not touch his. So just clarifying the meta reasons.

@@DyadintheForce That's awesome and it looks awesome. It's not about the physical contact but the enclosure in the lightsaber for the crystal. It may or may not be spelled out in canon but with the patterns like with Dagon having to take it out to bleed it and it being exposed in the Osha moment that the chamber it's in in the lightsaber is meant to protect the crystal. It's an assumption I'm sure, but one I personally feel pretty safe making with the patterns we've seen.

the answer is so simple: crystal bleeding did not exist when Ep 3 was made. It's astounding to me how sw fans jump through so many hoops just to justify a simple retcon.
