If your still considering a cobra jet intake give AFS a call he posted yesterday that he has some blem CJ ported intakes at significant discount but they won't last long.

It's amazing how much power can be made from the Roadrunner. Back when I got mine, I walked a 19 GT. Was pretty stoked considering how much newer it was.

The manifold my flow more than a Cobra jet but not necessarily make more power heat soak is an issue with aluminum intakes I would stay away from it

That’s a great point especially if you’re tracking the car. I like the idea of all Ford parts. I will give Holley a call to pick their brain.

They are using a Mustang dyno. Generally speaking a dynojet dyno will read 50 HP higher than a Mustang dyno. You are very close to 500 whp on a dynojet.

Correct, if the dynojet is using the WinPep 8 software they will read pretty closely. I’ve dyno’d on one with updated software and was 1 hp less. The dynojets using WinPep 7 or earlier software read 10-12% higher. I also did an earlier video on this about 3 years ago. Thanks for commenting.

Get a gen 1 cobra jet, the Holley stuff has so little information cause it’s finicky and unproven. The CJ is much more proven and the tuning is a lot better on them. Also porting a CJ wouldn’t really be beneficial unless you’re really putting some aggressive cams and revving it waaaayyyyyy out.

Thanks I’m leaning toward a cj. It will have to be ported bc my boss is ported and it may not make much over than what I have. The boss port netted me 20 whp. I do plan to rev maybe 77-78k on the cj. Thanks

@@CoyoteProductionsBoss302 on a CJ with the boss cams you’re good to 8k rpm’s pretty comfortably, ported CJ is probably like 8200 or something wild like that. That car will be SINGING at wot.
