This channel is about building a modded Boss 302 NA using aftermarket and Ford Racing parts. Overall seeing how a modded Boss 302 can compare to Gen ll and Gen lll Coyote Mustangs. There will be real world applications and some product reviews. This channel will take you to events, southwest Michigan’s car culture, possibly some networking and overall just plain fun stuff. Let’s see where this build will take us? We’ll have some random repairs other vehicles. There is a family owned 68 Dodge Super Bee will pop up on occasion #projectbee54. adding a 2022 Ram 2500 to the channel. Will focus around capability for now. If you like the content like and subscribe, I will also be open to comments on the channel. IG account is CoyotesNorth. Note: Name changed from CoyotesNorth to Coyote Productions302. Thanks for watching!
No surprise but the motor isn't original..........this one is really cool...........for a quick second i was thinking DeSoto.............but the emblem on the fender killed that............cool old wagon.............not going to be easy to find the missing pieces
I would suggest to drive both cars to understand the real feel. They are completely different cars. The downside to the Boss is the MT82 and the Mach has a Tremec. Both are great cars.
It basically helps plant the tires to the ground. Lowered cars can invert the lower control arm in the stock position. So you want the LCA angled downward from the opposite side. You may have to optimize what’s best for your suspension and setup at the track.
O man. I need a manual tranny that can handle 1022rwhp cause my mt82 but need singing quiet. Any suggestions? NVH sounds horrible to deal with on your transmission
Thanks for the compliment. So there’s no interference with the exhaust with the rails. This has been a best mod ever and I can’t tell you how much I use them and time I save getting the car up.
Following what you been through has really help me choosing the right direction for a transmission. Just set up my appointment for my T56 swap at Mustang Magic. Almost went with a Calimer Stage 3 but your vids made me really dig and find out the nightmare stories. Its a garbage platform no matter who builds them. Thanks for the honest feedback.
Cool, you will love the trans. Be sure to respect the break in period and then some. Trans is super quiet and shifts like butter. Also handles the power really well. U don’t need to change to a short throw either. The Tremec shifter is great! I just went to 4:10 again and the car and trans is a great pair. Happy to help!
@@CoyoteProductionsBoss302 Awesome thanks for the feed back, I'm going with the 4:10's also Went with the McLeod RTX twin disk since i'm about 700 wheel. Defiantly going easy ion the break in with the price of this swap. And yeah I was waiting to see how the stock shifter was before I ordered the MGW.
I did this to my 2011 Coyote about 10 years ago. I got mine from American Muscle. I had a shop put electronic cutouts on there to split full rear to half and half. Loved the sound it created.
No this is what I’m using with my Dynatech LT. Possibly look at this option down the road. www.lethalperformance.com/dynatech-boss-302-off-road-x-pipe-w-side-exit-hook-up.html
If you have any pictures of the cams prior to installation, or are willing to pull a cam cover to check, the CJ cams (or even baby CJ cams) are ground on a billet cam core vs the regular production cams (Boss, GT, etc.) that use pressed-on cam lobes. The CJ cams will look different than the production cams that were removed. Hope this helps!
I did verify before installing and when I first got these cams the cam number stamped on the cam with Ford Engineering through Ford Performance. The only other way I validated was the car ran different at the initial start up which would be expected from different cams (I was on FBO tune), car was very lazy. It gets weird when I loaded the track key calibration which removed my tune. The car then woke up. After the dyno tune I netted 11 more whp. I also had head work that increased intake flow about 20 cfm. I would have expected more with the changes. When I see the box label I’m in question and doubt bc of results. I was told a 20 hp gain at the crank so that’s close but head work didn’t net anything. I will have to wait for et track time and a CJ intake to see if I get to 470-480 whp. I’m at 443 on 93 gas boss ported intake. Ultimately 447 with ford stock coil packs. These car thrive on more rpm so with a ported cj hoping to gain more hp.
