How about planning tours in country-side prefectures, other than (its central area of )Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and showing how attractive they are in this channel.

Uhm, maybe not 😬. Because there are other channels that feature on backcountry travelling and I am soooo happy that it's not overcrowded - yet... That's why I usually don't recommend my favourite places publicly, only to a few very good friends. Call it selfish or whatever, but if we promote all the quiet places, they won't be quiet anymore. "Social" media and photo hypes already ruined so many places... 😒

@@pookyac42Totally agree. We don't need crowds of tourists all over Japan. They can find those places by themselves if they search for it. Why should we lead clueless tourists to such places, only for them to spoil the beauty and the vibe of the place? I'm with you.

@@VedantFalcon Hi, just saw your message today. Yeah, that's totally what we're doing this spring. I visit my Japanese penpal and together we will drive to remote places in prefectures of Fukushima, Iwate and Aomori. Supporting little, family run ryokan and even home-stay at a farm. 😁 Great goodness, my Japanese is barely enough for polite smalltalk, but this will be a whole different level! 🙈😂

@@VedantFalcon Thank you for your wishes 🙇‍♂️. I have already asked my friend what she would say if I just grabbed her hand - or hugged her - while we were walking in a park. I'm German, but I live near the Belgian border in the south of Belgium. So I'm used to "la bise"... 😅 Her reply was "In PUBLIC?!" with a hint of panic in her voice. 🙈 - So yeah, having fun is definitely part of the journey. 😂

Robot Restaurant was great, but highlight of my trip was a day at a Sumo tournament it was nice to see Japanese act outside of the stoic polite stereotype, lots of cheering/groaning and remember one middle aged woman very, VERY! into several wrestlers.
