ay, im ass at zen but i am climbing ranks by discording someone and just calling it out and then getting like 7k damage and 6k heals with the worst zen ults possible.

I only hate Zen when I'm playing Rein (sometimes Brig but not as much) if I get in Zen's face he should be SCREWED but that kick messes me up so bad.

Discord's a massive damage boost on a priority target, his heal orb requires no skill or much thought from him (you only rarely need to quickswap the orb for emergencies and depending on the level of play, it can be futile) and he shits out a lot of damage even with mediocre aim. He's a very easy hero.

The thing is tho, Zen is absolutely easy to pick up. Charged shot used on a target that peeks behind walls or corners, general aiming isnt hard either. Trans is just a good ability to pop if you can farm it fast, which shouldn't be hard. Healing orb isnt great but who cares, its meant for the dps/supports. The discord orb simply gains too much value by existing None of what Zen has is a high skill floor. Its incredibly low, at best learning to consistently aim as Zen is his hardest part. Positioning isnt even hard on him either. On top of all that, damage boosting abilities are few and far between. Window is an ult, nano is an ult, mercy damage boost only applies to one target and she isn't healing teammates if she uses it. Zen's discord orb can be on the tank any second zen sees him. It is that easy. It's spammable, has no cooldown, provides info for 3s, is essentially a hp debuff to anyone who has it since it breaks hp breakpoints harder than mercy damage boost.

​@@Jason-kp4vc IDK, it's easy to get value on him while you're alive, but you also die in like half a second if anyone with a weapon longer range than quick melee so much as looks at you.

​@@volzaac4775 Yeah I noticed that too. Idk if it's "fake" as in the uploader was trying to make people think she was actually playing. It's a continuation of another tik tok so it might've just been them giving their kid a turned off controller so she could pretend she was playing while her parent played. Then someone made a joke about "average sym player" and they made the Tracer video as a joke. At least, I hope that was the case, but people on tik tok could just be as gullible as Flats and the stream chat lmao.

@@Asynurrhe isn't that OP. And keep in mind I'm not even that good. I play exclusively QP and didn't play ball before this season. He's strong this season but not hog OP a season ago.

I’d say maybe just make it an ult farming tool. Like, you gain ~40% increased ult off of the marked target, w/ a 25% personal damage boost for Zen (who only gets a 12% ult boost) and that’s the end of it. So you don’t blow up tanks faster when focusing but discording and focus firing nets a nice ult economy boost (that’s offset by the loss of the damage boost) that might swing a fight in your favor even if the tank doesn’t go down.

There are so many ways tbh that it’s ridiculous blizz hasn’t done anything yet. Skill shot, armor negates the increase, maximum duration/with a cd so that there is actual downtime, nerf dmg but give lifesteal, decrease move speed, there is so many different things they can try

make it like a 15 second cooldown once it disconnects from the target , will force you to risk yourself out of cover

Idk, as a Zen main I'd like to see orb nerfed a little, Zen's personal damage output nerfed a lot, and kick removed and replaced with a minor mobility option and/or finally fixing his hitbox that's been broken since 2016

she takes very little skill though. it's insanely easy to play well as sym, hence the average age being a child, who wouldn't be able to play the other heroes

@Jack Eltrich yeah she's easy too although I feel like people would go for torb if they want turret kills. Yes her turrets are good but most people (not me) can survive her turrets pretty easily while torb turret lasers people from the other side of the map.
