Main/Off Support is used in Paladins and has been for years, but how it’s defined there is a fair bit different

The fun thing about Kiriko being a "main healer" is that since I started playing in OW2 launch, I didn't know about these terms, and I climbed from zero to masters in 3 seasons basically by playing off healer Kiriko, flanking and getting picks. And all that while getting flamed in gold/plat for "not healing enough" , lmao

That person talking about always scoping being bad actually has a point. Scoping in makes you much easier to hit, so there are some duels where you're much better off peppering them with some unscoped shots first and then finishing them off with a scoped shot

Yeah 2 years ago I was that guy that had huge stats but couldn't achieve kills on my own, I feel sorry for my fellow teammates

It's harder for me to watch overwatch 2 content knowing the PvE news, even if it's positive content. I started playing the game in my freshman year and would play it with friends, and now I play it or watch it, and the heart-filled game I used to love is replaced with a soulless money grab.

To be fair, there are way too many people out there that play QP like they’re battling for Rank 1 on the Comp ladder. People unironically locking double sniper on Circuit Royale when one team isn’t running any snipers. It gets real corny real quick over in Unranked.

Like you I have my expectations set firmly on the floor, but I will wait to be surprised (most likely not). The only thing I can maybe looking forward to is the implementation of some of the April Fools mode stuff being in the campaign. Not full skill trees but maybe a couple enhancements.

100% agree on the supports being able to hard climb by pocketing the carry. As a widow main I fully understand I'm mainly off on my own I'm out of sight so its on me to to get heals when i need but nothing pisses me off more than when I'm completely in the zone hitting every shot and my mercy is just heal botting the tank. Any kind of heals when someone dives me whether it's a dva Winston sombra tracer etc completely changes the whole fight and I will win.

I mean I have had dps games where I went like 40 and 20 because the enemy team was able to dedicate 2-3 people jumping me all game. I still got the most value I could but you can only do so much as one person if your team is just ignoring you being dove by a Lucio a Doom and a tracer.

For the role video, I took off in season 2 & 3 and my first comp game in season 4 had 4 players with top500 tags... my account was bronze/silver.

1:56 Honestly I did that while trying to placr on Support. Was playing Gold games as a bronze player and I mainly got my value out of overpumping our Hog with more heals than he has health. Worked out well cause the game ended in a draw and my three games on support got me to 1/1/1

About the main/off support vid, you always getting mad about ppl calling supports healers gave everyone on Tiktok PTSD so now they're conditioned to always substitute in support even if healer would be the better use.

I love how I actually forgot about the 30% faster reload speed on Ashe after u kill someone and I would not remember it unless I watched this video. Like literally how the fuck anyone is supposed to know all the stats and small details like that if you cannot find it anywhere in game. All you can do is press F1 and see the overall description of the cooldowns and thats it. No stats no nothing. Imagine trying to get new players interested and not telling them anything about the fuckin characters. I guess they were busy working in the PvE

Imo the main/off support thing has always been flipped. Main support shoelace always been the ones who can pump out a ton of healing

I keep getting paced in a lot of mid-high gold matches while being Silver 5/4. Generally going 5-2 or 5-3 but the last three updates have either remained the same rank or only moved up one rank ... why am I being placed in so many high gold matches if it's not going to consider me for the rank?! Seems pretty BS. Is the fact that I played casually in quick play for most of my OW1 career hindering my rank up capability now that I'm trying in OW2 comp??

The "top 500 on tank but diamond on support" argument holds no weight. People who are top 500 understand positioning, cooldown management, map layouts, etc better then a diamond player would. They may not have the aiming skills on that hero, but they have everything else at a top 500 level. You are inherently at a disadvantage. Also, they've stated MMR for quick play and ranked are the same. No way a bronze player should be going up against #1 and #2 support in QP. And if you think that it's okay, remember that's why new players aren't sticking around. Why play a game where you're going against the best players in the game right off the bat.

On the first one I agree, sombra is a great example of this. As sombra the most important thing is to not worry too much about stats as you won’t have good damage nor’ eliminations compared to your team but you can still be carrying by distracting the supports or by helping kill targets at critical moments by focusing fire. Stats don’t always matter and once you learn to focus on your gameplay and NOT your stats you can start climbing easily.

8:00 omg i know these guys! Fawns/Dark Blossom always q together but I've never seen them in role queue, only open. Fawns practically only plays brig but I have never seen then in rq, which goes to show you probably should check a profile before judging you've been put in a 't500 lobby' (they're clearly diamond tank)

Ashe and Widow are the exact same with scoping. You should scope your shots 90% of the time, not scoping is for “oh crap” moments or to get just a lil more manage to finish off close range

about the ashe part look at how wanted plays his ashe he uses both his scoped and hitfire And I'd argue he does more damage and gets kills more often than jay or warntv do

GLAD I DON'T PLAY ASHE because I sure as shit didn't know that ADSing did more damage lmao. I've played her a couple times and each time I thought to myself: "Yeah, this hero ain't it" because she just felt so USELESS to me aside from her dynamite. Now I know it was just ME that was useless.
