This video made me all emotional as well. I'm from West Bengal, India. My grandparents had to leave their home which was in present day Bangladesh and had to move to India. They were also refugees and started from the scratch in India. With great struggle they built their family here. I grew up listening to the stories of partition. We should realise that our roots are same. Sending love and respect for sharing this positivity. We need this. Keep up the good work. 🌼

19:20 NO.. Iman/Moazzam. Read more about Radcliffe line. Boundaries were created by taking all sides into agreement. A Commission called Boundary Commission was formed which had 4 members (2 muslims, 1 hindu, 1 sikh) for Punjab Border and 4 members (2 muslims and 2 hindus) for Bengal Border. British were not at fault here. In Last 1-2 Years before 1947, they tried their best to stop partition, but eventually submitted to the demands of All India Muslim League because AIML was making the Separate Country demand since 1939. British never wanted partition.

@Pratik Smith if that was the case, they wouldn't have formed boundary commission and would have left hindus and muslims to deal with. in the backdrop of world war II, the new labour party govt of clement attlee was extremely conscious about its image and it wanted to leave india with minimum damage and with smooth transfer of power. but muslim league vs congress conflict had started coming on roads with violence b/w hindus and muslims common by 1947 March. and they had to run from india asap as they were not able to handle things.

@Pratik Smith my point was they didn't want partition of india. when you are saying that they didn't care, i said they cared because they cared their image. there are letters b/w attlee and mountbatten which subscribe to this intense desire of british labour party govt that "prevent partition as much you can". the attitude of mountbatten and lord wavell who was viceroy before mountbatten frustrated jinnah and his party. jinnah didn't believe that britishers will partition india and hence he resorted to measures like Direct Action Day and interference in Constituent assembly thru AIML members led by Liyaquat Ali Khan

@Rydberg Constant You are right but to some extent only..... Because when cyril Radcliffe was asked about taking indian and pakistani opinions into consideration........ He opened up about being blocked several times by the same border commission he said that especially about lahore that he wasn't happy with the people of the commission because there were 2 indians and 2 pakistanis in it....... Further stating that they kept a inner war going in there for lahore.......... Thus he was forced to take the decision alone............. Hope you consider my opinion😊😊

It is not correct to blame the politicians of today for the divide. Partition was created due to one section of people because of their religious compunctions. Indian politicians are only safe guarding the interests and security of the country. What choice they have in the face of constant adversity from outside?

Try to read history. It was not britishers but the jehadi mindset caused partition. What’s going on Kashmir ? Once Muslims get majority they want to impose their faith on others. And that is why many Subcontinent Muslim homes have an affinity towards their roots. In Delhi, Nizamuddin Auliya Dargah lights Diwali Lamps every year, as per their Sufism ideals, but same practice is not acceptable under Salafi and Wahabi Islam.

One man's greed (Jinnah)has torn a nation into two... And what has PAK become now, is there to see... credit goes to their leaders & military heads... PAK initiated all the wars against India and it's their own shameless admission... It fosters & harbors extremists as a policy...and does proxy wars for monetary benefits...India patiently bared the brunt over the years... now it knows that a rogue nation like PAK, does not understand normal language, it needs a tough treatment. U know what I m sad about....I'm sad because people of india also believe that this is all India's fault and their current leaders fault....and not even try to listen the story of the other side...what they have done to us...but pakistanis obviously don't believe us...why do they.. Don't blame British for partation rather it was Ali-jinnah and the Radcliffe line was given by a commision (recommended Muslim league+Indian National Congress+ Sikh prominent leaders) unfortunate Lahore was given to Pak. due to lack of cities where other side West Bengal was Hindu majority according to 1931 Census! And during war 1965 Indian Captured another Sikh Holy place which is in Pak right now but its retrieve happened due to Tashkent Agreement.

Ya mate .. partition ... My whole maternal side .. grand dad and grand mom had to move from mirpur to jammu ... Have heard enough wat hand stories of what happened.. how it happened... Wat done is done mate ... Partition is a reality .. we all have accepted it ...
