Great video brother, but for those that haven't purchased a y8 manifold yet for a y7 intake swap buy a 96 97 98 auto intake manifold it has no iacv to plug and also there are no air injection cold start ports to plug off it makes it alot easier however you will still need to follow the rest of his info

fur sur this video was a great rundown on this swap im planning on doing this swap soon because i hate the crappy intake from the y7 the y8 intake just looks better and flows better

*_Looking into this add well! Want to get a 3 point strut bar, but not sure if it will fit with the Y7 intake since it goes up and beds. Meanwhile the Y8 is just like flat. I'll try to attempt the install and if not I'll have to do the Y8 intake conversation 🥹_*

I did a D16 swap into my 96 Eg Hatch and can't figure out the idle issue, runs great over 2K but under it's sluggish.

is it 100% necessary to swap out the throttle cable pulley? It seems like it would line up fine with some adjustments

Idk if anyone can help me but I bought a 96 ex and it has a d16y7 motor non vtec but it has a y8 manifold. The car has rough idle and goes down to 100rpm when warm and tries to cut off. Any ideas?

Questions sir is it fine to run a d15b7 manifold on a d16y7 engine??

Could've I rewire the iac on the y7 harness to use the y8 throttle body since it's bigger or is there and issue with the harness in general?

No I mean the intake manifold i will take it from an automatic vti civic .. and my car is manual d15 engine so there any different between automatic and manual intake manifold?

Hi. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge. May I ask you a question please. I swapped out a d16y7 in a civic that uses d16y8. First question please. I want to keep the manifold intake from d16y8 on the d16y7 engine but none gasket is sealing perfectly. The rpms are high. What kind of gasket do you recommend me. The second question is about vtec. The d16y7 is not a vtec. Is there anything that I can do to avoid check engine light? The first question is more important. Thank you Sr.

Mine sometimes idles rough and Rpms drop and stalls while in neutral at red light or stop sign, Im missing the pvc hose that runs to the engine block to the Air intake , can that be a reason ?

when i was removing the old gasket, i damaged the surface, does this cause vaccum leak?

Goof video, and yeah that gasket sucks ass it took me 2 hours to scrape the one off my prelude it was hard as a rock. What were your gains on the intake swap.

how dafuq do u take off the throttle pulley? Take off the throttle flap first and then it comes out?

D16y7 throttle body doesn’t fit on a d16y8 skunk 2 intake manifold so if someone’s wondering don’t make the same mistake

Does the iacv say denso 52 or denso 54?

Can i use the y8 fuel rail and regulator with the y7 injectors?
