I've finally got my own new Impulse Frame master, and I've spent two months using it so I can tell you all about it!
The previous model came out in 2016, which I had used for a period of time before switching to battery nail guns. But once Paslode improved the impulse framer, and I started to see this newer model on worksites, I knew it was time to go back to the trusty Paslode gas framing nail gun.
It is crucial to regularly service Gas nail guns. These services are easy to do yourself, as I demonstrate in this video:

Since when does one has canister last 10 000 nails, when it's only supposed to last 1000?
@DaveDoesCarpentry
@DaveDoesCarpentry Год назад
You’re right. I definitely messed up talking about the gas canister in this video. It lasts around 1,200 nails per canister, not 10,000

I gave up on Paslode years ago. Their canisters are unreliable and it can’t fire nearly fast enough. I had nothing but trouble from Paslode. They are light though.

There is no way your using 12’000 nails in a day, I’d put my life on it 🤣🤣👍🏼

I got this exact gun 2 months ago and when it works I love it, but my god have I had so many problems with it. Every rack of 40 odd nails it will misfire at least 7- 9 shots, it will fire but doesn’t pick up a nail and will just dry fire into the lumber. On top of that sometimes it fires two nails at once, then recently it stopped firing all together! I could hear the gas being injected and the fan running but no bang, thought maybe it needs its first clean so I took it apart and did the service, it was still super clean as had only fired 3500 nails roughly, but it did start firing again, however now the fan sounds like shit! Sounds super loud with a buzzing sound. I want to love this tool honestly but it just doesn’t work and I wasted a lot of money on it which is unfortunate. All my other guns are Milwaukee cordless ones and are truly engineering master pieces. I’ve got the 23ga pin, 18ga brad, 15ga finish, 18ga 1/4 crown stapler. Had them all for about a year and a half and the stapler has jammed once and the pin nailer has jammed once, and I’m mainly a finish carpenter so I use them a lot! Like I say I mainly do finish work but can frame as well, im just definitely not fast enough and don’t do it everyday enough to call myself a “framer”, but we’ve just had 2 massive jobs start where I’ll be doing alot of framing for a few months so I thought how’s the time to finally lose my compressor once and for all and upgrade my framing gun, I was so close to getting the Milwaukee as I know their guns are incredible but the beasty weight just put me off, always heard great things about paslode so got one of those instead and I’m really gutted by how bad it’s been, the customer service has been pretty shocking as well, they boast about how good it is and their 2 year warranty but I’ve called them so many times asking how to fix it not even hassling them for a new one or anything and they have got back to me once. I wanted to love this tool but my review is stay the hell away from it! I’m glad yours is working good for you though and this was a really well done video, liked and subscribed! Keep ‘em coming!

AEG/RIGID is one the best and most powerful, ive got an AEG, Air + Battery is Kickass!!! It is on the heavy side but wow the power and the features/reliability are unbelievable, rapid fire 3 nails 1 sec,125 psi air tank lasts you over 20000 nails. Then self service undo the allen key nozzle and fill the tank with FREE air again..!! You should try it👍👍👍

I’d go Milwaukee or hikoki nailers over pasolde nail guns any day. Yes they are heavy but that’s the only con you can find in them. They both have rapid fire, pasolde doesn’t, they’re both powerful as heck and can power through lvl with ease, pasolde not a chance. And batteries last hours if not days, where pasolde doesn’t. Your not paying for gas and don’t need to worry about gas running low, it’s all battery powered. And like you said overtime they’re becomes a lot of problems and have to service often which you don’t need to with the Milwaukee and hikoki.

My hikoki has broken three times in 18 months. Head unit is too complicated and is badly designed, broken 3 times with a 1 month turn over is pretty bad. And fkn heavy

I’ve got the Makita GN900SE.. Biggest mistake of my life! Thing is a nightmare; but man it is one sexy looking gun. Was looking at getting the Paslode 360Xi, but they went with those gay proprietary gas cylinders for that gun, and the nail packs we get provided with on site coke with normal caps. Shame because that’s cost them a load of sales from those of us who don’t pay for gas 😆

I think you’ll be happy to hear that Paslode will be releasing a new rapid-fire nail gun some time this year! ru-vid.comNxFKpf2y1dU?si=D68nX7IcD0G3eVaG
