Advice for young men: Be very careful who you marry. Don’t rush into it. Be sure you are both on the same page and sold out to the same things. Have the same overall worldview. My wife and I are blessed to have found such people. We attribute our 32 strong years and counting to our commitment to Christ. Bless you guys- great channel.

Ryan, what's the balance you find in being a Christian where there's so much pacifism in the faith, but standing up for your boundaries or calling out evil/injustice publicly leads to a lot of confrontation? Essentially, how do we be strong and assertive even when it upsets people people while so much in the faith is about being kind and passive?
Courage brothers and sisters. And using a great advice from Jordan Peterson, in matter of your work, start working on having options. Review, update your resume or CV. Start looking for options and evaluate how the market is for your skills. Add more skills, expand your network. This will create a stable foundation for when courage is required.
Christianity is teaching men wrong, that they cannot end their marriage unless the wife is sexually unfaithful, based on Matthew 19:9. But this is a misapplied text. In its strictest definition, fornication (porneia) is sexual deviancy. But in its general use, fornication (porneia) can also refer to violating a very basic moral norm - sexual criminality, indecency, rebellion, disrespect, deviancy, etc. The Hebrew equivalent is “ervah,” and refers to nakedness, even one’s own if shown in public. Ervah and porneia functionally refer to being repulsive, indecent, or a deviant practice that violates a moral norm. This can include persistent disrespect and betrayal. This is the answer to the proposed question, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for just any reason?” Jesus’ answer is basically, "Just any reason? No, but for truly serious reasons, yes."
