Yeah that's fair i.m.o If you watch the body of work Anthony Davis put together in his the last two seasons before he left Sacramento, and you look at his exceptionally good performance during the title run at the bubble, it's clear that Davis is a historically great forward that can be compared in greatness to players like Tim Duncan that played the same position. Can you mention Kyrie in the same breath as Duncan? Naaaa. Come to think of it, it's absolutely mind blowing to think that in that title winning season with LeBron, Davis scored 26.1 ppg in the regular season, and scored 27.7 during the playoffs in which he was absolutely excellent almost all through, but still LeBron was clearly the better player all through 😂 That just shows how absurdly good Bron is. Brian Windhorst got unprecedented access to Lebron as a high schooler, his first run in Cleveland and when he initially went to Miami. Once Lebron and his four horseman started to get their autonomy and wanted to tell their own stories, they phased Windhorst out. So any thing he says that would allude to him knowing any of the inner workings or details of personal conversations about what Lebron was/is thinking or feeling have no real validity. FINALLY...Someone on tv speakin on behalf of the players who ACTUALLY play!! If "not working out" means not goin to the NBA Finals then that means about 98% of ALL professional athletes careers haven't "worked out".. I swear these dudes on tv just say anything without having to stand on it, it's good to finally see someone hold these clowns accountable for what they say. Kyrie is DEFINITELY an all time great without putting a "but" after it followed by off the court hate you have for him smh.

pat knew exactly what brian meant when he said kyrie hasnt been in the same position of success since leaving cleveland. kyrie left to lead his own team and be a leader. he hasnt been able to do that in boston or brooklyn. theres many reasons why, but the reality is he hasnt found the same level of success yet since leaving.

@@NETBU It isn't about anybody's life being "perfect." Kyrie took a chance on himself, and I don't think anyone is faulting him for that. Kyrie has also been out due to injury, and no one is faulting him for that, either. Where people have lost patience with Kyrie is with _how_ he leaves these teams. He leaves Cleveland because he doesn't want to be seen as LeBron's "little brother." He leaves Boston because he didn't get the love from the fans he wanted, then goes to Brooklyn where he's been for the last three seasons, but only played in a season and a half's worth of games, not all because of injury. So, no, Kyrie has not had the level of success he was clearly hoping for when he burned his bridges with Cleveland. My life isn't perfect...no one's life is. Are there things I would have liked to do with my life that I haven't done? Of course, but I've tried not to make the path any more difficult for myself than it was already going to be. Kyrie is where Kyrie is because Kyrie put himself there. He is not, by any measure, a victim of circumstance.
