As someone who lives in New Zealand and used to work in a thrift store, we did not receive an abundance of sewing patterns. We only got donated them twice in the two years I worked there. I think the store she was donating to was being a bit mean. Some people think that people don't sew anymore.

Congrats, Steph, That's quite the haul. What a gift! Your fabric choices are fabulous. Given how precious they are, I'd recommend you make a toile for each pattern before cutting into your fashion fabric. Though it's a drag on time, it's best to eliminate the surprises while you can. Also, though just my opinion, I'm not sure the orange terry is going to work for your 70's style jacket. You might be safer going with a med-weight crepe or even a poplin. I love the terry cloth, but I think the fabrication will be too bulky for the color and cuffs. I'll be on the lookout for the video(s) where you show your finished products. What a fantastic collection of patterns! I'm intrigued by the first dress and how it will sit on the body as you move around when the sleeve is cut in one with the back. It would be fun to see an update on what worked and what you might want to change if you chose to sew up the patterns again.

Thanks so much for the video, Steph. I have two suggestions for upcoming videos. Suggestion #1. If you were stuck on an island and you could only have a limited amount of patterns. What patterns would you take, and how many patters would you take? Suggestion #2: if you have never made a garment and live in a location that didn't have any in-person training, where would you get your online training? Again, thanks so much for the video.

What an incredible collection you have now! I love vintage patterns but sadly the sizing doesn't often work for me anymore. Your pairings of the designs with vintage and vintage-style fabrics are carefully considered and I can visualize the fabulous outfits you'll create. As a sewer in New Zealand the abundance of vintage patterns in opshops (thrift shops) has saved me a lot of money but I do worry about the patterns I leave behind!

Thank you for sharing your vintage haul and sewing ideas. I love that knit pigeon fabric. If you use it for that raglan sleeve pattern the pigeons will be upside down on the front of the sleeves. You might want to save that fabric for another design. Thank you again for your videos.

Thanks for sharing. It’s great that you don’t follow the latest trends but follow your genuine desires and thrills when it comes to fashion. One of the reasons I started sewing - and sometimes designing too, my own clothes was the love of originality and creativity that came from me and not fashion magazines, shops or celebs. My ample stash of fabrics comes from world wide shops, charity shops, repurposed items (bed covered, muslin curtains) and finds from my mothers trunks, some 70s and 80s vintage. I need to start an instagram!!
