I've always imagined that if they fought paul would use his weavile, trip would use his serperio, serperior would win, and since paul's weavile lost to a dragon type, ground type, and flying (all types but grass that are weak to ice) and now a grass type, paul would release weavile due to being a disgrace.

Paul may be strong, but I hate his attitude. He is so mean to his Pokémon and others. Trip was a little mean at first, but at least he became nice.

The battle was amazing. But I have one suggestion if you like can select the moves are used in anime not those moves are very much effective in game. In this the battle will be more interesting.

Bruh in the anime Paul would STEAMROLL and STOMP all over Trip. The kid just doesn't even stand a chance. Since Trip only has six Pokemon, let's look at how Paul can counter each of them: Serperior: Easily countered by Magmortar. I don't even need to explain. Honchkrow and Ninjask being Flying types may do the trick as well. Unfezant: Uh, Electivire anybody? It's a powerhouse. Vanillite: Hello Magmortar again. You'll be doing a lot of work. Frillish: Uh, hi again Electivire. I mean come on, even Magmortar can probably tank this. Even Torterra can do this much. I mean Frillish knows Protect, Water Pulse, Night Shade and Hex. Lampent: It only knows Flamethrower and Shadow Ball. Honchkrow/Weavile anybody? Night Slash can do the trick, though surprisingly Weavile doesn't know any Dark type move (that has been revealed, at least). Torterra can tank this all day long. Heck, even Ursaring can. It knows moves outside of Normal type as well (eg. Focus Blast, Hammer Arm) Conkeldurr: Fighting is literally weak against Flying, Poison, Psychic, Bug, Ghost, Fairy. Honchkrow, Drapion (though it is a Dark type as well), Ninjask, Froslass can easily take it out. And what can Trip counter with? Serperior... I don't see it taking out anybody. Paul doesn't have any Water type (he gave away his Azumarill) and his Torterra, dual Grass-Ground is a freaking tank and powerhouse. Unfezant: _Maaaaaaaaaybe_ Ninjask. It may be too fast for it though. Even Ash's Gliscor and Infernape had a hard time fighting it. Vanillite: ... _Maaaaaaaaaybe_ Honchkrow, and again Ninjask. Torterra is possible IF Vanillite has a) evolved and b) was Trip's starter. I believe Torterra will do a OHKO. It IS Paul's strongest Pokemon (imo). Lampent: Maybe Froslass... Dual Fire-Ghost is handy against Froslass typing. Except it's unevolved :/ Conkeldurr: _Maaaaaaybe_ Ursaring (though that guy's another powerhouse, it withstood a super-effective move from Barry's Hitmonlee) and PERHAPS Weavile due to its Dark typing. I exclude Honchkrow since being a Flying type it will be able to cancel out ? Conkeldurr's effective Fighting typing on its Dark type. Maybe. So yeah, Paul is likely to win in game. In fact, I *can't even see him losing* *shrugs*

That's not fair Paul has leveled up Pokemon While trip has a friendly Pokemon And ash beat him with pikachu. I mean pikachu is so strong in every region. But trip's serperior us weak to fire types and BTW trip never even used his Pokemon except for serperior, timburr and vaniluxe. Trip never used jellicent, Unfeazant and chandelure. He is weak. Then you have a strong trainer PAUL Vs a trainer who only trained 1 of his Pokemon 5x and 2 Pokemon moly for 1x and the others haven't trained !???.

Paul is my favorite rival and would have wrecked Trip if this was in the anime

Hope for the 8th gen of the game pokemon bring back these kind of rivals, like Blue or Silver. Those that actually make you feel the heat of the battle and competition and give you that feel of actual success when you beat them. Im kind of tired of the "friendly" type of rivals, like that annoying Hau, haha.

How come Chandelure didn't have Energy Ball and why did it only use Shadow Ball even against Ursaring? Paul's Team was way more competitively build with the Items, movesets and pokemon chosen no Aggron Gliscor or anything weak against Water and Ice while his Team hit for Super Effective everything. Serperior with no Life Orb, Unfezant not even trying with Return or Pluck to do more Damage, Jellicent had no Giga Drain or Water Absorb for Gastrodon to switch in. It feels rigged so that Paul should have won.

You know you're too deep in the fandom when you're familiar with every single pic of your fav so everytime sth new appears you JUST KNOW :') (yes, google images brought me there). Also, no matter how much sentiment I have towards Trip, fortunately or not im forever #teampaul
