Funny how people complaining that it looks like a flash game I thought we care more about the gameplay rather than the graphics There is a limited way a game can be made and played, its impossible to make something remotely 'new' each year. Even if its new concept people doesnt bat an eye to try it If they make FPS ppl calling it CoD/stalker wannabe, hero shooter? OW/valo, dark theme ARPG? soulslike, RTS? Mobile game

I'm reminded why I watch Asmon more for the reaction videos than the gaming, as a lot of the games he thought looked good I was not interested in and a few of the games he thought were garbage I thought looked interesting. Not any of the games that were seemingly therapy sessions for the Devs mind you, but some of the turn based stuff at least.

"Imagine a mech game set in WW1" like Iron Harvest doesn't exist.

Fun fact, Ale Abbot is actually a fairly realistic game concept, as a large number of monasteries produced craft ales and beers throughout history. This came as a result to the techniques and skills needed to create communion wine being passed down through centuries and adapted through experimentation and research, with monks often being able to trade fine ales for food or needed materials for their crafts, especially the Benedictines who followed the practice of "Ora et labora" or "Prayer and Labor". It was such a well regarded and key industry for monastic communities that ales were often certified by local Churches in taverns. Back in the day, alcohol content was very low with the exception of only the most expensive and prestigious drinks, so drunkenness was actually not as common as one may at first think, with the amount needed to get one drunk being enough to fall under "gluttony", which was punished by being put in a barrel suit for a day. Game looks pretty cool.

The Xbox gameshow was incredible?..i must have missed those parts,unless you like old school 2d side scrollers and basing how good a game is on a cutscene it didnt seem all that incredible to me.

Always thought strategy games would be addicting for everyone due to the power trip of seeing the progress of what you build. But alas some people just want to shoot/hack stuff mindlessly, I like shooting stuff too especially when I am stressed but no need to shit on strategy games.

Custom Maps and Co-op is how you get people into RTS (and Stormgate). Been playing custom maps for 25+ years, melee is boring trash to play but fun to watch.

OTK Day 9 would be dope

Third faction for Stormgate honestly could've leaned into the angelic theme more, while the demonic faction could've leaned harder into the Diablo/DOOM aesthetic. Seriously, they should've made humans the only 'tech' faction, while the others should literally have been pure angels and demons instead of "techno pixar versions" of them.

In 2 months time, I think you're going to be seeing a shit ton of Battle Aces content on any RTS-adjacent channel.

I think it's at least better than Summer Game Fest in terms of both presentation and game roster. To me it's almost like Summer Game Fest is redundant after seeing both.
