You do know this is a cover, right? The original was Celine dion and Andrea BOCELLI. Mitch is singing Dion’s part. The song was written by David Foster. It was my Mom’s favorite song. We played it at the calling hours before her funeral. I can’t get through it without it making me sob. If you knew what my Mom endured when she was young, you’d understand. To the memory of the strongest person I’ve ever known. I miss you everyday. EL 1935-2012

My fav moment is Scott coming in with his solo in Italian - that deep baritone of his just gives me chills. Next fav moment is when they all sing "we are all God's children, reaching out to touch Him...". Soooo beautiful!!

This a cover of a David Foster original. The best known cover is by Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion duet. The PTX “Wall Of Sound” gotcha, didn’t it! This should be their 4th Grammy!

It should have been their fourth Grammy winner, but somebody at RCA dropped the ball and didn't submit it to the Academy in time for it to be considered. And I very much hope Pentatonix uses this gaffe to negotiate a better contract with RCA the next time it's up for renewal. A MUCH better contract - I'm feeling vindictive about this.

This was definitely Mitch's song to sing. Scott wow! Kristen, Matt and Kevin, I was in tears, so emotional for me. I see a Grammy, for me this is my favorite version of The Prayer.

Hello Jeffrey. Thank you for your reaction. Pentatonix did a superb rendition of this song. The Prayer. Giving a message of hope for us all. Pentatonix never disappoints and they have really excelled here. All five of them are masters of their craft - individually and collectively. For this song there was skillful and perfect placing of each member in the arrangement. Mitch at the start and throughout owned this song - as you said "Oh my gosh, Mitch and his voice. He was definitely meant to sing that solo" - he sang with conviction, vocal clarity, the notes he hits and holds, his runs, his vibratos, his timing and his precision. Scott with his operatic presentation strong and convincing in linguistic detail. Kirstin with her belting power notes. Matt on the consistent bass undertone. Kevin on the strong and well-timed vocal percussion. The rich vocals, the tones, the call and response, the harmonizing, the wall of sound, building to the crescendo in the bridge and then the clarity piercing through again. The videography was superb the setting, the sunlight, the togetherness. Superb performance by Pentatonix. They deserve a Grammy for this.

Absolutely stunning work from every single member! The trio, Scott, Kirstin & Mitch are from Arlington, TX so they make it a point to come thru Dallas. I am going to their show Dallas Dec 23 & I cannot wait!! Grammy #4 is what we just heard! Amazing arrangement! Andre & Celine will be proud! I also enjoy Celine’s duet with Josh Groban! THIS is now my favorite. Mitch soaring with chromatic runs & Scott’s strong baritone in Italian!

My favourite parts - Matt's Organ sound especially right at the end... Oh Hi Savannah! pretty cat!....and Mitch, also at the end, flying up to the Angels.... so good. There is a behind the scenes video from them showing the production of this music video. Really enjoyed this reaction, looking forward to more. Have you listened to the original song Anchor? No video, just a visualiser, but a haunting song, led by Mitch.

This may be their best video of all time, it's stunning. I do want to correct you though, this is not an original song of theirs. The original is sung by Celine Dion and Andre Boccelli for a movie. It's also the song that gave Josh Groban his start. You mentioned being a fan of Greatest Showman as well. Scott and Ben Bram (the producer for PTX), produced an all female group called Citizen Queen. Citizen Queen started a cappella but they do some fully produced stuff too. They did an a cappella cover of Never Enough from Greatest Showman that I strongly urge you to check out! They will blow your mind!

Yes to both Citizen Queen and their take on Never Enough. There's a behind the scenes video which shows how they pulled it together very early in their career. I believe it's arranged primarily by Ben Bram.

Small correction: The original song was a solo English version sung by Celine Dion, the singing voice for the mother of the main character. It was a shorter version that did not include the dramatic bridge section. The music for that was taken from another song in the soundtrack. The movie soundtrack includes a solo Italian-language version sung by Andrea Bocelli that does incorporate the bridge. The famous Dion-Bocelli duet rendition was recorded AFTER the movie came out and first appeared on Celine's 1998 Christmas album These Are Special Times. In 1999, it was also released as a single and as part of Bocelli's own solo album Sogno.

They shot the video on a set. Trees were real, snow was not. While the video is original the song is not. It was written for Celine Dion and Mario Bocelli to sing for a Disney movie. Great reaction. Love your facial expressions when Mitch hits his high notes.

Since you mentioned the musical...they have a cover for The Greatest Show, which will likely be an interest for you since Panic! also did one. Both were for The Greatest Showman Reimagined album, PTX's was a bonus track. I know which I prefer 😉. There's a lyric vid for it but it's not a music vid, it's just lyrics over the album art.

So this is not an original it is a cover of a very famous Operatic Piece, that's been done by Celine Dion and Andrea Bacilli. Just because a video says "official video" all that means is that it is the Artists Video that they made and have copyrights too, it has nothing to do with with whether a song being sung is an original or cover.

Neither location nor green screen; this was a set, and isn't it gorgeous? The snow is, of course, not really made from frozen water, but it was really falling as they were filming. They had a bit of trouble figuring out the best amount to use.

So weird. First, you've never heard this song before by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli, and you're talking like it's a brand new song that only PTX created. Makes this reaction much less effective because of this MISINFORMATION. Thumbs down for me. Do your homework, man.

This was basically a Superfruit song where PTX was invited at the last minute. Mitch and Scott did great (except for Scott's needless lisping). Kirstin did very well. Matt and Kevin were absent at best and often out of balance or out of sync. The set was sloppy as some of the trees were either paper mache or dying from shock. The attempt to mix in the warm lighting and apparel to the scene didn't work for me. It seemed forced and distracting. Almost made my list of favorites but not quite. ..
