Good review of these, I had been on the fence to purchase a pair since they came out but could never give up the $30. I finally purchased a pair at a thrift store for under $10 only 2 weeks ago. I feel these are far superior to dumbbells or other pushup bars. More comfortable and more stable. These are meant to work your core as well as chest arms and back so if a person can not hold them steady they need to maybe start on their knees first and work up, I love these, but would I pay the full price? No I personally would not but if you can find them at a discounted price go for it, I think its a good investment if you use them.
Really appreciate a 2nd opinion on these! Thank you. I used these at the gym and so this is the type I want to continue with. The grip you say is also good on carpet, so that was a revelation. However, I'm going to invest in a 3-fold lovely sky blue thick gym mat and a few other things. However, I will have to sacrifice a pull-up bar due to potential damage, space, etc at home. Any exercises you can suggest as an alternative, would be gratefully received.
@@melvin-fitnessproductrevie7082 Nice review, but I have one complaint. Unfortunately in the review you help promote Amazon. Amazon is evil, Amazon supports ICE, ICE kidnaps kids. Amazon is anti-worker-rights. you should really try to make the world a better place instead you are helping to make the world a terrible place.
Mine are only a few months old and they're real creaky. Scared I'm gonna break a knuckle or my wrist one of these days. The handle seems hollow and so does the plastic they're attached to.
Question about the pushups on the bowflex adjustable dumbbells. Would that not damage any of the pieces of the dumbbells? I just know that with all those moving parts I've been afraid to do renegade rows or supported pushups or even gripping them by the inside of the plate for Goblet squats. Anyone have any experience with these exercises with the bowflex?
Great question. I haven't had any issues with the moving pieces doing push ups on them, but if you're concerned, you can try doing it with the dumbbells in the rack so the pieces don't move. I've done goblet squats and haven't had any issues. I've also done pull ups with the dumbbells hanging from my dip belt with no issues. I haven't done renegade rows with them, but if you have some gym mats I'd say that'd be sufficient as long as you're not dropping the weights down.
Solid review man, I will most likely use hexagon dumbbells for high volume push-ups, because I don’t think the rotation is efficient, in comparison to a stable bar or stable hex dumbbell?
You say don't buy them if you are a beginner or if you are penny pinching, which I understand. But then you say that you wouldn't buy them yourself but you don't actually give a reason for that that I caught. Why wouldn't you buy them? Are you penny pinching?
I have dumbbells at home and get the same benefit from using them to elevate my hands for push-ups (increases the ROM). If you have dumbells already, you won't get much more benefit from buying these.
I wasted money on these as well. The adjustable dumbbells are much better. If you are a beginner, you probably start with press ups like I did. Soon you should be using a bench press, if you want to overload your muscles
If you only up here already check out my comment and give that a try being a beginner or a veteran CrossFit trainer this workout will definitely put you to the test and hopefully prevent joint strain for the folks suffering from Chronic pain weather it be natural causes or disabilities from Injuries dew to accidents etc..
yeah, I wasted money on these as well. I ended up getting a bench and dumbbells. They are only good if you want to do pushups for life. If you are a beginner, you don't know what you want
