@@fernyv4368if it’s a business worth mentioning 2,000 dollars a year is nothing in the name of quality. It’s the difference in people who would rather do this illegally than legally that you see garbage like cross contamination, spitting on hands to moisten them, then proceeding to cook, etc. it’s called 3rd world hun, and also id say stuff you’d call racist but I’d call just noticeable facts.
They don't pay taxes or fee's to support the community or city. You get food poisoning? Where are you going if you have no insurance? UMC. County or city services cleans up the mess they leave behind. This is not not LA or Mexico. They chased them out LA beach cities because it became a mess there. There is an entire RU-vid series about it.
This is why I can't stand seeing this in my neighborhood. It's going to lead to garbage, rats, and illnesses. Furthermore, it looks absolutely tacky. Just follow the regulations for restaurants & buy permits & rent an actual building. If you can't afford it, then you're in no position to run a restaurant.
I think people should be protected if they eat something bad and get sick. Every restaurant have license and insurance, so it should be the same. This is not Mexico with no regulations
On the contrary, eat more and strengthen your immune system. Have you seen any Indian or Mexican getting sick from street food? I haven't been to the hospital in years.
I lived in Los Angeles for almost four years and when these places started popping up here, I talked about how these places would just dump their trash in a place close by and just leave it and soon you'd have rats the size of horses running around, and people could not wait to jump on the pile to criticize me. It's coming to a neighborhood near you...but don't let me tell you.
I saw that when I took my girl home last Saturday at 2am. She lives in BH, I live in OC. They "washed" parking lot food stand into the gutter. The gutter that drains into the ocean. LA elected officials and voters are really really dumb.
Another issue is the traffic they create when knuckleheads pull up to eat from them. They always interfere at the busiest intersections and roadways too.
1. Las Vegans are low IQ drug addicts/alcholics. Of course they're going to criticize you for daring to go against the mass marketed narrative. 2. Go back to your third world city, please.
@@BigSmokeGTA6NO, that’s called fraud and cheaters do not and should not participate in a capitalist market. A free economy does not mean cheat your way through it.
I am a small business. 3 employees including myself. I had to get license bonded and insurance. Stop with the pity party for illeagal vendors. Make them follow the laws. Laws were wtitten for a reason. If they dont like it they can go back and sell in their homeland. I absolutely refuse to patronize illeagal vendors
@@user-mf6kz3ld5rThat’s not the point and you are not a small business owner. To operate one you must have license, registration, follow local Health Department safety guidelines, they inspect without notice, carry insurance, landlord rent and insurance, taxes, and myriad of other cost to run the business. These street vendors did none of that. They cheat on taxes. Shut it down!
So the street vendors can't afford to do things correctly and legally... So then it's discrimination for everyone else who actually has to do things legally right!? If this is how these people run their businesses then it's probably best that they're not running any business! The simple fact is I own a business right now and it's not making any money yet I still have to pay the government every month and I still have to pay every year for licensing and fees and everything else! Or maybe I just have to do. If they're not making enough to be able to afford the licensing then maybe they should stop what they're doing and go get a job working for someone making more money! Or maybe they should raise their prices like a legitimate business owner has to do in order to cover the bills! If you still can't make enough money after that revert back to the first go get a job working for someone where you can make enough! There's reasons for the law in the government to exist and that's so people don't go get food poisoning because these people have food sitting out in the heat all day long not being properly kept! Second question if they're not a legal business how are they paying their taxes...!? So are these people now evading taxes as well!? So they're operating a business without paying anything back to the community and they want to act like it's everybody else's fault! Hope the government shuts all illegal vendors down because they are not doing their part for the community and the vast majority of them I guarantee don't even know how to properly keep food according to health and safety rules as we're finding out they had to be shut down. It's amazing how we treat one group of people differently than everybody else and we're supposed to feel sorry for that certain group meanwhile everybody else in the city who wants to run a business has to go do it legally we don't get it just pop up carts on corners and sell food The laws apply to everyone and should be applied to everyone equally
I am a small business owner and I agree with 💯 %. Street food vendors just want to get a free ride on everything. Only a person running a small business knows how much it cost. The playing field is not even until they operate a real business and pay for all the costs we’re paying now….license, registration, insurance, rent, taxes ( state and federal), sewer maintenance, hvac maintenance, heat, electricity, A/C, employee benefits, marketing, Internet, town taxes, etc…If anyone operate a business without a license you are cheating the system and it’s illegal. I don’t care if it’s on the street or in your home! This is a country with law not a third world country.
These illegal vendors shouldn't be allowed to feed Americans without oversight. This is America and we have LAWS about how food can be safely served to Americans. This isn't a 3rd world country. America is the Most Powerful Country on the Planet.
When I went to the bank, there were 25 people from the third world, and I was the only one from the first world. I don't know where you get that ideation we aren't the third world, but to each his own.
But you eat food with forever chems and who knows what else that are put in it. I'd say the nasty is on the same level as what may be out with the vendors.
The sanitary conditions of street food vendors are often poor, with issues such as lack of hygiene, improper clothing, and inadequate handwashing practices. The society deserves strict health code enforcement to protect the health of customers buying prepared food from these vendors.
This should be 'buyer be aware' for those willing to buy and support these street vendors. But they should not be allowed to operate other brick & mortar businesses and they should pay tax and get inspected just like every other businesses.
It really is unacceptable poisoning people with your food, especially in las vegas, regardless of it being street-level food. It isnt hard having a decent storage cooler, just keep it dialed at under °40F and youre set. Truly a safety issue
I already knew about the nasty food conditions most of those health hazards on wheels are.. even with how bad prep is before they set out, so many don't keep proper temps when they are on the street or wherever by using "costly" sturnos etc... I remember how much of a plague these vendors were on the Santa Monica pier back in when I lived in Socal..
@CapodeiCapiNYok can you show on here that statement. So we can believe you? If not then please stop and get back to work and pay your taxes like a good American slave.
Nevada has to get a hand on these people, it's the hispanic way to move in, set up shop, not pay any taxes, rent, insurance , and then qualify for government assistance . These people are the reason California has so many problems
Probably entered into California illegally then thought they could do whatever they wanted here too. Wanna run a business you need a license. Don't want one? Go back.
I've tried this one time because I was expecting a really price on the meal 2:03 , but it's about the same price compared to a tacos shop in the valley, so never again.
I work in the trades and have had to work in many kitchens of restaurants and stores that are very popular chains. To say they are clean and sanitary is BS. Just remember, employees are lazy too.
REGARDING FEES REQUIRED: A certain amount of capital is required to open a business, including permit/license fees. Brick & mortar businesses face the same requirements. Street vendors need to comply, as the fees are not unreasonable. End of story. Unfortunately, your emotions, and pain & suffering have little to do with opening a business.
Tbf my Burger King was pretty bad, my manager put me on leave for months because I threw out a customers patty after I noticed them giving it to the customer, but the patty give. I’d noticed was the one I told them was moldy and threw out, and sure enough the raw beef was missing from the trash can. He and I were furious.
But when I was 16-19 I couldn’t afford to not work, and I didn’t know I could quit and get a better job ( but even Publix isn’t able to support a livable wage thanks Biden I’m actually on verge of suicide due to it it’s seriously bad )
In 1987, Arizona blamed California for the overpopulation. Nevada is getting the same problem from California because they know California wants to be a thick population state. California pretends it doesn't know that places are overflowing with people. It's just like the cup in your kitchen. If you are going to drink 2 cups off milk, you don't pour that amount of milk into a cup that can hold less than that because it will overflow.
now all that found, where is the health department getting the agents to enforce the rules and fines. these folks will disappear to Mexico if they get into trouble. unlike brick and morter operations/
It's hilarious how initial street vendors were doing this to businesses who had brick and mortar sites paying employees and regulatory fees and rent... When they were calling out these local vendors they were mad and said 'their racists and we just want a better life..... until their very own people come in an invade their set up there business and don't give a shit and over run them now they are pissed and are angry..... If you do things the right way it could be a win win for both but now you're getting a taste of your own medicine and now they can't handle it...
Exactly. But a lot of people don't care but I remember how they were doing the pandemic. Would not even touch the button to cross the street. Would not walk on the same side of the street with you if you didn't have a mass on.
People can choose to not buy from these businesses. Close our borders and enforce licensing laws with cash fines and siezure of equipment and inventory. 😢
As someone who’s worked in the restaurant industry for a long time. Even restaurants don’t give you exactly what they promoting. They can tell you they have freshly caught mahi mahi for todays special. And that shit has been sitting in the back of the freezer for over 4 months. Doesn’t matter if it’s a food truck or a dine in restaurant if the employers are shady their practices will be shady. Here where I live we have a big group of food trucks people trying to make a living it’s always clean and they have their permits and license taped to their cart/truck. But everyone should practice safe food hygiene this is why they have to get their servsafe certification
100 % and I’m Mexican. Some people not only lack education but also want to prosper but not do it the right way. For once Mexicans and other Central Americans, need to realize that taking short cuts is not going to get you there.
I recently got some sort of rash on my face after eating part of a falafel bought out of a “legal” food truck. Seriously, this can happen everywhere, even at McDonalds or Burger King.
They need to check Round table on Eastern. My family and I went, had the worst experience we’ve ever had with food poisoning. Health District needs to be checking restaurants often too.
more examples of people who say they cannot afford the fees, not being able to prepare/store/transport food safely. it costs money to play the game. 1 bad taco and you are ruined if you dont have insurance to cover your a$$
20/20 did an episode over twenty years ago...... how did this happen again. Clark county does not mess around just ask O.J. and when they are finished eradicating these places can they send Riverside county CA. the clift notes on how to do it.
These street vendors are earning a lot , Some of them have 5th wheels or RV pulling their kitchen. Fees are nothing to them if from California owner or resident should charge double fees.
This is why I don't buy street food. They're not a restaurant where things get inspected and a certain standard needs to be held. Street food vendors can do anything they want with the food and nobody knows if it's safe to eat.
I got sick I don’t know if it related to those vendor I ate steak burritos next day I got wet diarrhea fever chill this be my last time eating those vendor food so disgusting after watch this news
Yes, it is different way of managing the food preparation but, if ur stomach isn’t strong to handle this type of food or allergies don’t eat it. Go fine those high top restaurants without given they are notice and u’ll find out the real truth.
Food biz! is really a serious business. no matter what ur current 'financial' situation ,or a small business, u gotta make sure the 'cleanliness' Because if not ppl will get sick. When ppl get sick they cant support business anymore.
If they're coming from CA they're primarily from SoCal, because I highly doubt strreet food vendors from NorCal and the Bay Area are going to drive 8+ hours (2 of them through the Mojave) to Vegas to sell food. Especially with gas at $5-$6/gallon. Them vendors probably think your inspection enforcement is lax enough to take liability risks. If you crack down on inspections and put the weight on fines instead of costs to vend legally, the SoCal vendors will go away.
