Raita recipe | easy | quick | instant | pineapple recipes
Ingredients:
Pineapple - 2 tbsp
Yogurt - ½ cup
Cumin / Jeera powder - ½ tsp
Asafoetida / Hingu - a pinch
Mustard - ½ tsp
Green Chilli - 1
Salt - to taste
Oil - ½ tsp
Coriander leaves - a little
Method:
1. Keep a pan on low flame and add ½ tsp of cumin / Jeera seeds and roast till there’s is a slight change in color and aroma.
2. Transfer it to a mortar and grind it into a powder.
3. Cumin / Jeera powder is ready.
Preparing tempering:
1. Keep a pan on low flame and add ½ tsp of oil.
2. Add ½ tsp of mustard to this and allow this to splutter.
3. Turn off the flame and add a pinch of asafoetida / hingu.
4. Tempering is ready.
1. Now in a mixing bowl, add 2 tbsp of chopped pineapple pieces.
2. To this now add salt to taste.
3. Add 1 finely chopped green chilli to this.
4. Now to this add cumin / Jeera powder made earlier, make sure to reserve a small portion to put at the end.
5. Add little coriander leaves along with the tempering.
6. To this now add ½ cup of yogurt.
7. Now combine everything well.
8. Before serving, add some chopped pineapple pieces and add little cumin / Jeera powder reserved earlier.
9. Pineapple Raita is ready.
10. Enjoy.
