This video was an amazing how to. Thank you for making it for everyone. PS my very first video editor was Pinnacle Studio 14 UL. For my 26th birthday my wife purchased Pinnacle Studio 20 UL for me. It is a new learning curve for me as for the longest time I was using Magix Movie Edit Pro 2015/2016 Plus until it started having issues on my computer. After that I moved on to Corel Video Studio X8. Now after a few years I am back to using Pinnacle Studio. Thank you again for your great video.

I just tried to export it to dvd instead of my hard drive, and the same thing happened. I'm beginning to wonder if my mother's laptop is not powerful enough to truly utilize this wonderful program. I love what it can do, but her laptop needs some upgrading. It stopped again at the same point. I've been waiting for almost 20 minutes. I think I'm going to return it, and puchase another program, of lesser quaiity, which sucks! When I get my own laptop, I'll make sure that the specs are appropriate for this program. I've always liked what Pinnacle has to offer! My very first program was by them 12 years ago. Thank you for your time, and efforts, in helping myself and others with your tutorials! Great video and very informative! I had just purchased Pinnacle Studio 20 Plus and was attempting to learn how to use it. Pinnacle's Studio Backlot wasn't all that helpful. I've been using Wondershare's Filmora which works and is easy to use but is very limited in scope. I'd love to be able to learn and begin using Pinnacle 20!

As someone about to start using this for the first time ever (now that RU-vid is forcing people to as it's decided it can't be bothered supporting PC users any longer with its built in editor) I would have liked things explained to an even MORE basic level. For example, you mentioned briefly how you can mute the sound on a clip - but not whether that can be done for part of the clip or all of the clip, and exactly where to go to for either of these things.

Hello Maleich,I have to say I have learned so much from you over the past couple of months. Respect. One thing I could do on the old Pinnacle 9 was to enlarge the footage image from that of a 4x3 to 16x9. Then I would have to use the sharpen tool as it the image became slightly soft. Can I do that on Pinnacle Studio 20 Ultimate? I don't quite know where to start.Kindest regards,Geoffrey Hall.

You can use 2D Editor advanced to enlarge the image. You will lose some of the image due to the aspect ratio. There should be a soften effect under the camera effects that you can use as well.

I have no idea. Could be caused by several things. Update your video card drivers, install the latest version of Direct X, check the Pinnacle website to determine if your file format and codec are compatible.

You're welcome. :-) The audio key framer changed in PS 12 through PS 15, PS 16 through PS 19, and now PS 20. To my knowledge the location changes every few versions based on changes to the interface. The location changed in PS 20 without making a change to the entire interface though. I find it interesting how a simple change can get so many people upset. :-)

Hi Maliek, Great Videos. I've watched nearly all of them. I've been using Pinnacle 15 for couple of years and After watching your review video of Pinnacle Studio 20 Ultimate, I purchased it straight away. I have 1 technical difficulty which I was hoping you might be able to help. In my Pinnacle 15 version when adding an effect to a video, Previously I could just click on the top pink part of the clip and copy the effect and paste it to other clips as needed. I can't seem to do that in Pinnacle 20 Ultimate, Tried many times to click in different parts of the clip however I only get the option to copy the entire clip, not just the effects. Any Ideas how I can copy and paste just the effects from one clip to another? Thanks for all your great videos.

Hi Maliek, Question: I've notice during your instructional video when you were retrieving a video from your computer folder, that you have a "My Book" external hard drive. I have one as well and was wondering would you recommend that I download this program to the external drive? I figured it would be better then to tie up my computer space. Need a bit of advice. I'm looking for a lapel mike to be used with videos that will be taken with a variety of cameras, but all of them should have a mini jack input. They will be done outdoors, so no access to electrical outlets. I'm looking for something as inexpensive as possible and the camera will be no more than 15 feet from the subject. Any suggestions? my preview window acknowledges the video I choose from the Project bin, it runs but not able to see the actual video/ format is mp4 on the file. What am I doing wrong? same on time line. it shows clips but it does not show actual video when time line scrubbed?

At the 20.19 point of video, there is a tan line above the AV1. As you move clips around the tan line also changes. What does that Tan line signify? I have used Pinnacle 10 for years and with Windows 10 I went ahead and bought Pinnacle 20 Ultimate and am new to this version. Lot is different.

That is done with a video clip I created using Adobe after Effects so I do not have a tutorial on how to make it. It is called a lower third. I have a tutorial on how to create on using photoshop and pinnacle. Search Pinnacle Lower third

Mayday Mayday...I am trying to convert VHS to DVD and i can't see any of the videos on the right side pane playback viewer just a white screen. All the clips are on the left pane side. I could hear the audio but can not view the videos.I used the Pinnacle System "Movie Box Deluxe" hardware and "Pinnacle Studio Ultimate" software to capture all.What preference did I miss or setup not to view my clips.

I am a little lost once you select the mark in and mark out clips you want how do you save them? Add music or effects save it, make a complete video to export?

You do not need to save anything. Just export the video. You can save your project if you want to save the clips, effects, and marks.

Hi Sir. I just bought Pinnacle Studio 20.5 Ultimate. I'm new to using this software. Could you make a tutorial on how to create a Lyric Video including the following: 1. Putting Beginning and End Markers on a segment of the audio file on the Timeline so that it would be easy to sync the lyrics/text to the audio. 2. How to make the Text snap to the Beginning and End Markers. 3. How to make use of the Audio Scrub feature to find the beginning and end of a segment of the audio file. 4. Yes I did that, but the preview window does nothing. I have power director 15 which is real easy, but I got Pinnacle for the transparent titles, but it is very complicated. I can do a lot with a little and I make income as a producer, but this system is more complex than I ever imagined. Even so, you are the closest to understanding certain things. This is frustrating though.

Yes, I reset it, exactly according to the instructions, but the problem still exists. I wish there was someone like yourself, who could be here to see my screen. You probably are far away, and I am sure I am the ones doing something wrong. I appreciate very much the help you have done so far. Do you have any other suggestions?

They are waaaaay more qualified than I am and they have the tools to help you. I have pinnacle 20 and maybe you can help. The title is not working for me. When I press T the title screen opens but the text form is behind the picture instead over the picture so I can't see it. I use the icon to bring forward and back and that is not working. what am I doing wrong. Thanks

Hi I film a lot of my boys hockey games. Of course being able to assemble ''the good plays'' of the game quickly would be an asset. Do you have a tutorial on how to prepare clips quickly for later use? or for making a ''highlight'' real of the game?

Hey Maleik, I found the feature that would work for rig removal in stop motion animation films. It's called "Magic Fill". It's used to remove unwanted objects in a photo, and it's included in Paint Shop Pro X9, I was wondering if it's also included in Pinnacle Studio 20.5 Ultimate. Thanks.

Hi there, I like how you really take the time too explain the steps in your tutorial. I have a few questions for you, How do you separate the audio from video track, maybe I might want to add another audio track, 2 can is this pinnacle better than Magix movie edit pro premium 2016 version? 3 if so how is it better? Thanks. Right click on the clip while it is in the timeline and select Detach Audio. I do not have an opinion on Magix as I have not used it.

Thanks for explanation. I have one question: let's say I have 10 min lenght video in source. And I need to use only 5 seconds. Is there any way to select in source window, that I need only 5 seconds and to drag only those? It's a bit weird to drag full 10 minutes clip and then try to cut it (till now I'm dealing with it in this way) :)

Use trim mode or mark in and mark out buttons to select the part of the clip you want and use the send to timeline button to send the section of the clip you want to the timeline.

Question: How can you copy an effect that you applied to a clip so you can paste it onto other clips on the timeline?

Hey Maleik, I have learned a lot from your videos. Im am an old guy and this stuff is challenging, but you make it easy. I have a tech question and Pinnacle tech support is horrible. Im in timeline mode in the preview window. I hit the play button and the preview window does not play. How do I fix this?

I am trying to find it... not sure which video you made of it for pinnacle 20... but I want to put a video that sort of floats along a back ground like a title can in my videos... for example I plan to use clouds moving as my main background.. and have clips float across the background with titles included with those floating titles to act like examples of what I plan to show in my videos... any ideas? thanks.

I like your tutorials, but I have a problem in Pinnacle 20 that was not covered. My previous version (Pinnacle 19) let me click on the "play" arrow in the preview screen and look at the whole video after finishing it. But in 20, when I click on the play arrow in the preview screen I only see the first picture even though the pin head is moving along the length. Am I missing something?

Thanks. :-) No, it should still preview the entire video. Do you have the timeline selected? Is your video card driver up to date? Have you updated to the latest version of Direct X? What are your preview settings in the control panel?

Wow this awesome.. I just upgrading 20 and have some wild issues with the video editing screen stopping after 2 seconds for everything. Taking corel forever to help and got some projects got to get down.. You are awesome bro! Any ideas I could try would love your input.. Thanks!

I have been a user, over the years, and have purchased all sorts of packages with various Hollywood Effects and other special tools. I am wondering if this new 20 version incorporates ALL of those into their newest version, or IF I STILL HAVE THEM, do I need to load those discs to use the features.? At the moment I am working on a 50th Wedding Anniversary Life Story video, (personal), and was curious ... some of those were very cool...anyone ????

Can you draw on clips like you do in these videos? Like arrows and stuff you draw on pinnacle studio 20? If not what program are you using to make these videos ?

I hope you read this. Your videos are great but I had a question. I can't find ANYWHERE how to take a short audio clip and loop it to the end of the video or as long as you want. I thought "Adjust Duration" would do it but it didn't, it extended the line but the music still stopped after it's normal length. If you get this please tell me how to loop a piece of music... Thanks so much in advance. I'm using Pinnnacle Studio 20

There is no easy way to do it. It is manual. Find the place in the clip that matches the start and place a copy of the clip at the end. Do this over and over until you have it as long as you need it.

Wow that's crazy, you'd think since that's a common thing to do, take a small music audio clip and loop it, they would have a function for it... Well thank you for the reply. While I have you, I also couldn't figure out how to make a clip go slow motion, and how to separate the audio from a video file. Is there a way to do those two things? Sorry to bug you but you are the expert. :-)

Right click the clip and select detach audio. Right click the clip and select speed

good video, but I am not happy with pinnacle studio, I got my studio 19 not long ago and you guys came up with studio 20? I have been costumer since studio 7.

Hej Malik! I am seeing all your Tutorial vidoes, and they are all very good! ( I am not so good to writing in english, I am Danish, Hope you under stand this!)Ware are the keyframes in Pinnacle 20 Standard? I have them i Pinnacle 19 Ultimate.
