I just got the Pit Boss 1150 when Lowe's was having their Black Friday Sale. They had $500 off the retail price. If you are needing a firmware upgrade they should be able to connect wireless to it and do a Flash Upgrade.
@@jeffsauer2198 I gotta say... 10 months in and this thing is a beast!! I did the heat deflector mod that is pretty popular amongst Pit Boss owners and it does make a difference in maintaining accurate temps!! Well worth the investment! You can check it out here.. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kr0VWfl6X94.html Cheers!
Great video man. Been looking hard at the 1150. Hopefully by the time I am ready to buy the controller issue will be fully resolved. Even as it is, its the best value hands down feature wise in the pellet grill industry.
i guess im asking the wrong place but does someone know a way to get back into an Instagram account? I somehow forgot the password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me.
@Hendrix Brysen Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm trying it out now. Takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Nice video! I've been debating if I should get the 1150 now, or wait until PB gets their act together and actually fix the problem with their PID controller. Lots of people that have sent out their controller to get the firmware upgraded are claming they still having problems with the grill keeping the set temperature. Please keep us posted!
@@jeffsauer2198 I ended up getting the 1150 PRO and called Put Boss's customer service. They're now exchanging the 1150 pro controllers without you needing to send your controller to them at all. I was told to dispose of the old controller as I see fit. ebay anyone? The new controller is able to keep my dialed temp within 5 or so degrees. I'm a happy customer.
Don't grab a few pellets and throw them in there when priming the grill. Don't listen to him. Let it prime all the way. Yes it's a slow process. But if you throw some in there and then wait for it to prime it will overflow the pellets and make a huge mess and a fire outside of the burn pot
It's been great! no issues so far. It is a little bit of a hassle removing the grates, etc. to do some cleaning... but that's common to most smokers. recently been using a pizza stone inside to make some tasty pizzas.
I tried for 2 weeks to get a return label and they just told me 2 days ago they aren’t sending out labels anymore. That they are just going ahead and sending out new pid controllers.
