It may not be Decemberween, but it's Senorial Day Weekend, so I'm finally gonna pitch a Free Country USA ride! Watch next month's followup! / patron-first-2-104948889
I think a Homestar Runner theme park/ride would be a double subversion of amusement parks, and the expectations that come with them. Like, it appears to be super kitschy and low budget, but if you take the time to look around, it actually has some really elaborate theming and some nice details. Anything that was done to cut corners is part of the joke.
The reference to Paramount no longer owning theme parks reminded me of when my local theme park, Canada's Wonderland was rebranded Paramount Canada's Wonderland with Klingon's riding the roller coasters (some searching suggests this was in 1993 when presumably Paramount took over Canada) and sure enough it reverted to being plain old "Canada's Wonderland" when Paramount got out of the theme park game in 2006 (and presumably ended its tyrannical rule of Canada).
All I ask is that Sweet Cuppin’ Cakes is incorporated somehow. Maybe an Eh, Steve! statue or something? Or just having Sweet Puttin’ Cakes in there that’s fine too.
I want, I NEED an uncannily realistic A-1000 Homestar animatronic. For the jibblies. Actually, an interactive Homestar Runner attraction like "Turtle Talk with Crush" would be pretty adorable.
1:15 "What, are you getting paid everytime you say the words "disobey the safety rules and face violent deaths"? Because I'd (disobey the safety rules and face violent deaths), like to get in on that ac-(disobey the safety rules and face violent deaths)-tion"
A Homestar Runner theme park attraction, eh? That sounds like an idea that will never happen, but nonetheless one I'd be over the moon for if it somehow does become a thing. This ride concept sounds quite nice, and I could totally see The Brothers Chaps using this as the basis for an actual official H*R ride! Also, kind of a missed opportunity that you didn't mention that the gift shop would be themed around Bubs' Concession Stand, or atleast the check-out area would be.
