Hi Janey! I watched a couple of your newer videos but have since gone back to your first ones to get to know you and how you've progressed! I live in Modesto and am glad to connect with another gardener in my zone... I'm sure I'll learn a lot and enjoy your garden as well. Love what I've watched so far

Hey Jainey your fellow zone 9 wanna be gardener here again. I have been binge watching bulb videos. I am giving it a shot again this year. Well last year was tulip fail, this year I have tulips, ranunculus and daffodils. Super excited. That supertunia roll up was epic…😂😂

I’m gonna treat my bubblegum vista petunias like a perennial this year, also in 9b. I’m just cutting them back and winter planting around them. I’ll let you know how it goes! It worked beautifully with some other varieties in big pots last year. 🤞🏻

You need a HoseLink best thing I ever bought for my garden. No hose ever on the ground to roll or unroll or to trip on.

I like the tone, attitude and fun comments (yes!!! gardening is a great exercise!). I also learned about the squirrel repellent, which was helpful! Thank you! Since I use RU-vid as my podcast platform without always watching the video (I know it might be weird, but I think I'm not the only one 😊) I would've benefited from more planting comments like how deep to plant, what soil mix to use, what is the best bulbs planting season is in Northern California, how does the weather (rain/no rain) affects the planting timeframe, how often to water after planting if there is no rain, how long does it generally take for the first blooms to show up, etc. I would also cut the musical interludes by at least half. Overall a pleasant video. And it's always a learning process for all of us 😊 Best of luck with planting and teaching! 😊

If you have a lot of bulbs, I would use a bulb digger. Save you a lot of time and your knees and back. Yes, gardening is hard physical work. Kudos. Also the repellent can be sprinkled on top of the the soil once all the bulbs are planted. Much more economical and faster. I would even use chicken manure or any organic fertilizer on top of the top soil once it’s done. A lot more faster. You may also find it better for your knees to wear knee pads.

Haha I enjoyed the blooper at the end. I also watered my bulbs in after planting but later read not to do that until you see the bulbs coming up. Have you heard that before? I’m a novice gardener that started a couple years ago and am on my second year of bulbs. I’ve let Mother Nature take its course this year so we will see if my bulbs come up for year two. 🤞🏻

Hi Sherri- I think it’s totally fine because we live in such a dry area!! “They” also say not to water dahlia tubers when planted but I water a little bit just because we are so dry! I’m betting your bulbs will be just fine! Keep me updated! 💕🌷
