Honestly, when I first heard this news, I was surprised but I think my first thought was something like “I’m glad I wasn’t on copium when I thought Popcap was going to add Choose Your Seeds later on”

This is the best thing that has ever happened to PvZ3. The major problem with the old PvZ3 was the artstyle The major problem with the new PvZ3 was the inability to choose your seeds Now that the bare minimum has been achieved, PopCap needs to remove the Homescapes features (and make it so each level feels more important to the story)

I still want some other things fixed in regards to sun meta going back to 25 and for it to look less like a mobile game and add some new features that make the game stand out but yea this is a good step.

The old problem with the original PVZ3 is not even the art style( it was ass don't get wrong). It was a bunch of other things( No sunflower, being a clash royal rip off, a vertical screen game,...). Among the current PVZ3 problems, not having Choose your seeds is only one of its problems, a major one though. There are still horrible level design, horrible plant balance, homescape rip off, the levels don't progress base on zombie health, lower the difficulty if players lose too much, limited variety and so much more. It is far from satisfaction.

That was just one problem with the game There's still like 99 remaining, including: Power-up centric level design Bland story Not enough plants to begin with Levels being either tutorials or 9999 gargantuars

Cool, now add actual level design, at least double the numbers of plants and zombies and we are close to the release version of pvz2 with different graphics and a "story". This PvZ3 doesn't really have anything worthwile that makes it stand out from the other games, while having significantly less gameplay content. While the original PvZ3 had a lot of questionable features, at least they added unique spins to the gameplay with Taco Time, Tree plants, auto sun generation, Brainiacs and more. The closest thing to that in the current version are the grapes of wrath which is so passive, it might as well not exist. Seriously, did you ever made a different play because of it?

Yeah the grapes really feel under utilized, they could have had a whole rooster of unique plants like It with different effects but instead it really just sits there and do nothing for most of the level and when It does something, it really doesn't help much. There are so many filler levels and the level design of them is so bad ! The fact that It operates on a timer means you don't really have the sun output to keep up with It most of the time. And even now that you're gonna be able to chose your plant i don't think it's gonna help all that much since there are so little plant and so many zombies coming in each wave.

You use the PvZ1 intro music in the background. Try using the reg version rather than the in game version because it sounds better, but to fix the grainy noise in the reg version replace the first 32 seconds of it with the in game version of the soundtrack.

There is a remastered soundtrack that is better. That is a fan-made remix album that tries to make the CD versions of the music sound as close to the in-game versions as they can as the CD versions are eariler versions of the tracks with the in-game versions being the final versions of the tracks

I'd accept if some levels are already pre chosen plants as some levels do add a strategic fun and challenge to them like; tutorials for each plants and mechanics, teaching us some strategic moves we can do ( for example Wallnut and Squash combo), or puzzles and mini games

It means that Popcap is soooo stingy they tried to take away the minimal functions of a game so it's a moneymaker for them and they expect us to celebrate when they actually add the base functions that makes a tower defense, a tower defense. Uh-uh, I won't be supporting a game whose first and main goal was to make us spend money. They can flip off for me

yeah they added back dynamic difficultly that was removed in old pvz2 so it's obviously why they added p2w elements like boosters and power ups
