Smell that? Do you smell that? Two stroke exhaust son. Nothing else in the world smells like that. I love the smell of two stroke exhaust in the morning. The smell, you know that burnt gasoline and oil smell, it smells like....Sledding.
MAN I love those old Polaris triples! When they’re dialed in tight there is no sweeter sound on earth except a child’s laughter. I run a 600 trip in the Alcan 200 snowmobile race, you should look it up and bring one of these bad boys up to compete next year!
Nothing like it I have a Yamaha Raptor 660r with a Yamaha Vmax 600 twin snowmobile engine she Rips I have a Yamaha Exciter ll 570 she's not a Triple But she's a fun sled ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WEZ0tf2djHk.html
Yup u just made me jealous. Good job. I used to have a 96 xlt 600 extra 12 it was bored .40 oversize carbs clutch exhaust paddletrack. Thanks for sharing man.
I had one of these about 22 years ago, it was a real hot-rod-sled. -93 Storm 750 with a -94 Storm 800 engine and -94 hood, Öhlins gas-shocks all around, 25mm Challenger fullblock, Cobra winsdshield. If I remember correctly the cylinders were so called "hurricane ported" and had Wiseco forged pistons, Delta V-Force III reeds and bored out carburetors. Even the primary and secondary clutches were lightened and balanced with clutch-kits. It was a real beast with insane throttle response but sadly it grenaded on me on a lake going wide open throttle. One of the cylinders locked up and broke a rod that broke the whole engine block, everything was shattered into small pieces. The combination of a young rider trying to push the sled to the limit when the previous owner had ran it with AAEN triple pipes (that he sold separately) was just to much for this engine, but it was sure fun as long as it lasted... //Daniel from Sweden
The lovely sounds and smell of pure polaris 2 stroke gotta love it you ever get to montana i gotta 95 580 xlt we can roll old school also have a 650rxl both run smooth but that white storm you have my god love it brother hearing it run made my day
I got the biggest grin on my face when the 94' fired haha. That sound was my favorite alarm clock ever....waking up in the motorhome to the sweet smell of the exhaust
Sweet looking vintage triples for sure!! I love the Centurion, would love to have a Indy Centurion, but those are pretty hard to find. Look forward to some video of the vintage run, keep us updated.
Really? Because around my house there’s quite a few sitting around, some are in decent condition too. There’s also gemnis, ,colts and Apollo’s for sale that I see often

Great Video. Your making Me Miss My 97 700 Triple Polaris....I loved that sled...FAST FAST FAST...It was piped, clutched, jetted,...I loved riding it...I kick myself for getting rid of it....The sound of the second one was Real similar too mine...Keep up the Great Videos...
I believe the centerian was a 500 triple when they first came out. I just loved those sleds and always wanted one. My friend Brian Ritz father owed a Polaris dealership and the first time I drove that sled I was hooked. Great job guys and I love the 650 Indy triple that you put in it. Wow , I bet it's alot faster then that 500 triple was , wow very impressive. Let me know if you ever want to sell it. I'm sure you wouldn't ever give that sled up. LOL. Also great to see that a father and son enjoy the snowmobile hobby together. Love the vids guys. Keep up the good work!!!!!!!
Thanks for all the nice words. Sounds like we brought back some great memories for you with our video. Yes it was a 500 stock. Check out some of our other videos. We have a lot of interesting videos. Thanks
I bought an 84 indy 600 from a local dealer here. It was an amazing machine for the times. I believe they were rated at 95 HP when most 440 class machines had something like 45 HP. I had many great times on that machine. Crazy fast
Woo someone knows how to use Google to bad you only get some facts and 9 times out of 10 they are wrong. As for my sled it is a 680. It started as a 600 but I have done a little work to it. Just like how you can look up 2003 Polaris edge xcr 800 and nothing will show up about it. But I am in the processes of building one to say I am the only one who has one.
@@colestashek4688 and i didn't use Google I used my memory I raced Polaris's for years....from Wyoming USA great contest sleding in the continental U.S.
They all sound good ! Over the years I have had many Storms and 800 XCR machines years ago I had a TXL 340 that had a 697 triple put in it with Aaen triple pipes we called it the bomb had lots of fun running it against Vmax 4, ZRT 800 and the Mach Z machines from back in the 90s it was super hard starting out in the cold had to run race gas in it. I would trail ride it up in the UP
On the seat.... there is a guy in Little Falls, MN that does complete recovers very reasonably and his work is excellent..... All Out Upholstery Nice sounding Polaris triples you have there! I'm a fan too. My first was a 73 TX500 LTD, wish I still had that beast. I have a XCR 600 now and looking for the last yr XCR 800, maybe an Ultra too. Just got back from Northern Mn, great snow up there, my Widetrak LX earned its keep breaking trail.
McGregor! I go through there every couple of weeks on my way north of Grand Rapids. Just stopped at Willies last weekend on the way home to drool over new sleds. Never ridden the trails around there, though.
All three of these sleds are nice. I would like to be able to find myself a Indy Storm. They are nice sleds of the Polaris line. The Centurion is sharp.
Wow I had a 95 indy 800 triple! So much fun! Haven't ridden since the late 90's and seeing these new ones that are way up in the air I'd be afraid of tipping in the corners!!
I’ve got a 90 650 SKS...stock...just love it...plus I had a 92 RXL SKS fuel injection...both fast/fun sleds....love the triple snarl...nothing like the sound
Oh yes, it has good sound. And the sound of music to my ears is the 1997 , MACH Z 800 Tripple. How sweet it is. My 1997 v-max 800 was just to dang heavy and drank more gas than an F-18 super hornet.
@@toddclyne3493 I got this sled in a multi sled deal. Changed out the skid rails. The holes were all egged out and one rail was cracked. Sled goes great! Ran When I got it. Fuel system serviced. New plugs. Stock pipes....facebook.com/marketplace/item/908504302689190
Those 90's Indys are legitimately bulletproof. We have a 97 600 that sits in our barn 363 days a year, fires up in a minute or two every time. No maintenance or anything lol. Great sleds
@@ryanritter3879 yeah i live in wisconsin not far from psi performance..should have psi pipes on it but went with the benders..love that sled but it sure is a tank lol
@@larryjepson9924 Right on and Bender's are also very nice. The VMAX 4 will definitely get the neighbors out of bed in the morning on a cold start...lol...There a beast.
I got a 01 xcr800. Convert the water pump to custom electric. I also put a voltage retifier off a honda 200sx...converts it from AC volts from the motor to12vDC to power anything you want
