Man you has me excited! My cruise control and remote start stopped working years ago. Tried this method - it was not the switch. Back to ground zero... thank you for the video anyways
this video saved me , I was having the same problem and checked all 3 fuse panels for a remote start fuse or something but when I did this it started. thank you so much, I advise everyone to just skip to this step.
@TheDarkleopard I did not leave it jumped, i cant say for sure if it would cause a problem if you left it jumped. I sprayed some pb plaster in the hood latch thinking something was jammed up but it did not fix it. only real way to probably fix it would be replacing hood latch.
It worked for mine, perfectly!! I think I found the gremlin that was in my car 😁 Did you have to replace just the hood latch assembly, the wiring assembly, or both?

@@joshuatroche3166 yeah I ended up jumping mine with some wire after I posted that. The wire was thin enough that I could still click the connector closed. Good enough for me.
mine does that from time to time. it could be the sensor Is intermittent when you open the hood and it is running from remote start it shuts the car off
