Powder Coating Ackbar Teal and Illusion Gambler Prismatic Powders
On today's 710 Performance vlog we're powder coating wheels Ackbar Teal and a valve cover Illusion Gambler both from Prismatic Powders.

I built my cabinet. Got tired of constantly having to upgrade to a larger cabinet so I bit the billet and built a 5 foot cabinet. I used that same hf pot blaster in it. Well lit, large enough, and only cost about 150 bucks.

That’s why I did it. Plus it’s configured to my preferences. I used a 3 ft plexi glass from Home Depot to make it even easier. Only downside is they don’t have the glass shields that big so I use the plastic people put over their windows in the winter.

Nitric Acid only strips chrome from Aluminum. it will eat steel.

What media do you use to remove paint from metal such as calipers, wheels, valve covers? Why don’t you all use a sandblast cabinet?

King PrettyFlacko we’re working on getting a cabinet! We use 40/70 green diamond, but we use low pressure so higher pressure will have a different results

We working on a cabinet, but this is good because all of our media is new and clean, so we can blast, blow it off, outgas and we're ready to go. If we reuse the media we'll have to add another step of cleaning. So while we lose media, we are also saving on cleaning products and saving time.

Hey man i love your videos but after you are done powder coating things can you spend just a little time on the finish product.you show the whole process of powdercoating and then when the finish product is shown its only for like 5 seconds

i fight with my pressure pot and it plugs up. i did the 1/2 conversion at the bottom as directed by unknown coatings but still gets clogged. what media do you run?

It takes between 2 - 4 pounds of powder to powder coat wheels. It will depend on the size of the wheel and what color you are doing them.

@@BigBilly81 I do like the system, please don't get me wrong. I just wish there was a way we can adjust the microamps as well as the Kv. That would really help with tight areas and second coats.
