I'm having the same exact problem with my 13' Fit. But I'm having a hard time getting the red wire to release from the little white unit. Is there an easier way to get it to come out? I've tried a paper clip and a safety pin. No luck.
@@rmg2419 I would stick with the safety pin. While trying to get the safety pin in push the red wire into the connector this will relieve tension on the tab that holds it and allow the pin to slip into place. Once the pin is in place the red wire should come out easily.
I have a 2015 honda city which is having the exact same issue with the same symptoms that you mentioned Honking the horn or rolling up the windows (even the passenger window switches) causes the locks to cycle a few times, I noticed it happens way more when it's cold outside. Do you think I could fix the issue the same way you demonstrated? And why do you think this issue comes up in the first place?
It is definitely possible that it is the same setup and fix since they appear to share the same platform as the Jazz/Fit. However I'm not having luck finding the wiring diagrams for a Honda City so I can't confirm that. The cause is probably the microswitch on the door latch assembly is wearing out and has burnt contacts. My guess is if you disassembled the latch and cleaned the contracts in the microswitch it would work as good as new. Unfortunately I am only making educated guesses as I know very little about the Honda City beyond its wikipedia page.
