Learning to manipulate the rear by way of the head can be a valuable skill, one worth the time spent mastering it. By teaching the dog to be manipulated in this fashion we can very subtly, precisely and effectively control our dogs body position with even the slightest angulation of the hand or wrist.

Wow ! Proof that dogs love food more than a swat 😆✌️☮️. I been doing something similar for years and thought I had a secret. But going to try using my hand now as an arrow like this. Thanks and it is done with great clear speach and no foreign accent. Cool dog too.

Laura's Life Dog Training & Dog Vlogs how do you train rear end awareness? By training a front paw touch on a touch pad?

@@audrawelsh8467 I use a yoga wobble pad pumped very full and have my dog do circles with firstly front paws on ,then with rear paws only , then I get the dog to stand all 4 paws on it and sit then back to stand etc. It builds a real awareness to the dog of its back paws and builds strength and improves balance. I did a video on it : ) Hope this helps.

Laura's Life Dog Training & Dog Vlogs ohhh that sounds great! I’ve never thought about using a wobble yoga pad! I’ll have to look into that

Hi, Forrest. When I lure with my dog, his head and body definitely moves but he often can have his front feet and he'd in the right place but his back legs and body start to go flat against the back of y legs behind me? How can I fix that?

Your dog must be really hungry to be so focused on those dry biscuits. My dog spits them out. Cheese is his weakness. Good video

My pup learned lots of things training with kibble but when I broke out the chicken or cheese she would get hyper focused on whatever. Kibble didn't work well learning healing so I used chicken and she got it! Now we can use kibble for healing again since she knows it better. Nothing wrong with using a high value treat if it works for you.

@VmaxMotoCam I had to step it up to cheese. You can't lure a dog with something that they aren't interested in

@@marybowman4847 my dog was the same, when he was young kibble seemed to work for most things but then he seemed to lose interest which is when i had to introduce the cheese. Then when he hit adolescence even the cheese wasn't enough for certain requests thats when I started to use corrections. Now he just obeys and randomly gets a real high value reward
