In this video I'm going to teach you how to prepare indian almond leaves for your aquarium. Almond leaves are super beneficial to aquariums. Preparing them is equally as important. Sure you can just put them in if you'd like, but it is best to prepare them properly just to avoid any contamination.
First you need to rinse your almond leaves to remove any dust and free floating debris. After rinsing you boil the leaves until they start to sink. After boiling, drain the tannin water and add to the tank. Me personally I take one more step to create an extract to add to tanks as well. So i boil one more time adding conditioner to the water to condition the tea and leaves for adding to aquariums. After all leaves and botanicals sink, I remove the botanicals and leaves from the pan and allow the water and cool to room temperature.
While I'm waiting for the tea to cool, I add the leaves, cones, sticks, and other botanicals to the aquariums I would like to have them in. Once the tea cools, I will add that to the tanks as well as seen in the video.
