Hi Alex, after watching many videos here and elsewhere I decided the prime-cut 50 which I purchased already was not the machine I needed. I called Gene at Prime weld and he offered to trade my prime-cut 50 (FULL REFUND) for a Prime-cut 60, I couldn't believe it... and he paid shipping both ways. I have always favored Lincoln welders now when I purchase any other type of welders it will be prime weld all the way EXELENT customer support.
I bought a prime weld 180 mig a couple months ago, and I absolutely love it!! I can't wait to get a plasma cutter next!! I got my supplies from Fowlers in Windsor CT, great service!!
great video...right to the point, no bs, no “um’s” or “ah’s”....sorry to hear you were laid off, but now you have time to concentrate on your own business. Best wishes and thanks for the informative review (I’m sold 👍👍)
OMG. I'm so mad at you... because of your excellent videos, I'm getting the Cut-60, TIG225, and the MIG180. I curse you!!! Just kidding of course. I have watched all your videos several times. It was the up to the Primeweld line and the YesWelder line, but because of you, Primeweld won! I know the time it takes to make these videos, but thousands of us appreciate it. Just want you to know that
Sorry to hear about your end comment that you got laid off your job when this video was made. Keep up the content. You have the skills to get wherever you want. Hope the few months since then positive things have come along.
Well, I was just kinda thinking about upgrading my plasma cutter but I made the mistake of watching another one of your reviews. Dammit, I already bought the mig 180 because of you!!
Mine is having issues where i pull the trigger and nothing.. worked great until recently. Figure ill try customer support tomorrow, they were super helpful last time and swapped out my bad unit.. i have the mig and tig welders from them as well and they are excellent machines too
Did your swirl ring fall out when you change the consumables the last time that's the most common symptom of that if not call customer support and they will definitely get you taken care of 😎
@@amcustomfab actually i just got done tearing it apart, noticed one of the spring pins was way back that consumables press against! Fixed the pin and back to normal! Figured it had to be the torch after i jumpered pin 1&2 in the back and it fired. Thanks for the help!
Hey buddy great job. Just to let you know...I got messed out of co ownership of a multi-million dollar company where I would weld and fabricate gates. I'm starting a channel soon about starting a company from nothing and turning it into something starting off by using primeweld machines. I've already planned on mentioning/recommending viewers to watch your videos... If that's ok? I feel you deserve more views than what you have and I pray you do very well on your new full time job.
Looks like it does but wanted to check.. is the connection to the torch allow it to swivel and is loose wobbles at a 360? I just received my cut 60 and trying to determine f that's normal or a problem. Thanks in advance
Any chance of some long term updates to this setup? I'm looking at the exact setup you have outlined here. Prime weld has worked great for me with my 225X and was looking to pair it with the Crossfire Pro.
I love my Primeweld cutter 60 Primeweld is doing a great job in everything for me have the 225 and waiting for the new mig to come out... !! Head good things in the making like 220 mig ?
I have the new mig right now and I am testing and reviewing it . I will post the review video as soon as they lonch on the website . It is a 200 amp machine with a digital interface 🙂 in the same body as the mig 180 .and with Lost more features.
Awesome video on your primeweld cut 60 video. question the link you have for your drag tip consumables is that the only two places you need to make it work for the drag tip or do you need other components besides to make it work. Or is it the only two pieces you need to make it work from the description you posted for the drag tip thank you God bless
@@amcustomfab I had to return the BestArc cutter I had (air leak inside) but FYI, I made up a hose with 2, count 'm, 2 dryers in line, just for cutter use. The ones I use have a dump valve for getting rid of the water they catch. Might be using them with my, uh, Primeweld cutter after watching this review.
Hi Adam, You answered a question I had before and I really appreciate your help. I have the Cut60 on a Crossfire Pro and I was wondering what your settings were for cutting 5/16" steel? Thanks!
I would run whatever the book settings are on the cut 60 they're pretty spot on if you don't still have the manual you can look up on the primeweld website
@@amcustomfab I have the manual, but I was doing work from home and the Primeweld website actually does not have the manual lol. But I did follow their parameters and the cut was not great. I ended up changing the electrode, decreasing IPM to 30, and increasing air by 10 PSI. The cut wasn't perfect but it helped. Thanks!
great video........ I bought the machine today from Chile through Amazon, according to what I read in the manual on the manufacturer's page, it is 110/220 volt one phase.........could you tell me how do you connect it? Thank you
has anyone tried these consumables ? I heard a comment that the threads of this machine are different than the standard IPT-60 threads ? also the consumables in the link are only rated up to 40 amps? anyone have other experiences ?
"DUEL" is a contest with deadly weapons arranged between two people in order to settle a point of honor. "twice he had seriously wounded men in duels" You probably meant DUAL, as in two.
My late mom the English pedagogue would completely freak out at the horrendous spelling and grammar found in YT comments. Yikes! is all I can say. Siri makes it hard with "her" crazy pigeon droppings , but folks, we could do a little proofreading.
Depends on how long a sustained cuts you're doing. I run mine off of a little oilless 30 gallon that does about 5 and 1/2 CHF at 90. But if I'm cutting for more than 10 minutes straight, I have to pause it and let the compressor keep up
What is your opinion on the razor weld 45, is it a good quality tool. And if you had to pick just one the razor weld or the prime weld for your crossfire which one would you pick ? Thanks in advance
Working on a video with the prime weld on the crossfire now. The razor weld has a factory defect that makes it so sometimes it does not fire consistently that has been an issue in the past the only thing different with the prime weld that I found so far is that it does not fire as soon as it is initiated it has like a half a second delay so you just have to account for that in your pure delay settings besides that the prime world has been really good so far really good so far I think any end I would recommend the prime weld for two reasons one it has never misfired on me yet and two their customer service is spectacular so if you ever did have a problem they would take care of you
For the most part yes it depends on what type of CNC you have if you just have an x and a y-axis all you have to do is wire the signal wire there's a little more wiring if you have a torch height controller. But it does come with the port already installed in the back so you do not have to disassemble the machine which is very nice
@@amcustomfab Thanks, found it. I'm considering getting the primeweld cut 60 plasma cutter to cut open compressors for copper. Would it work for that? What size air compressor do you recommend?
It is kind of an unfortunate name, all the cheap ebay plasma cutters are 'Cut-50' How would this work with a cnc, would it drag the stand-off all over the piece does it have a pilot arc?
I run this on my Langmuir, just remove the stand off bracket and mount the torch, works perfectly. The tip never touches the cut steel on CNC. The original Langmuir table uses 1/16” and 1/8” shims to set tip distance to workpiece.
