Lust U Always is an unreleased song recorded in 1982 at Prince’s Kiowa Trail Home Studio in Chanhassen, Minnesota that was left unreleased from the album "1999".
The track was also left unreleased from "1999 Deluxe Edition" in 2019 due to a rape reference in its lyrics, which i have removed and replaced using AI.
The original 1982 track has only been leaked through low quality bootleg cassettes, which i have restored to the best quality I can using AI and my own methods.

Prince frequently 'updated' his lyrics, such as changing "It's mainly a physical thing", to "It's mainly a spiritual thing" in 'I Feel For You'.

Prince gave this song to Robert Palmer. Prince liked to give away songs to artists he admired, kind of as a way of complimenting them. Although Palmer was a big fan of Prince, he never released his version. Perhaps he was taken back by the lyrics? The style of the song was consistent to the rock/pop/funk that Palmer was known for.

@@JohnAnderson42 Right, Pump was about as opposite as you can get for Joni. She didn't like it. Lol And Prince wrote so many whimsical ballads that would have worked well for her. I don't get it.

@@MrBKings i don’t think it’s disrespectful per se. it depends on what he’s saying. like, i love his more political and black power infused songs, but i don’t want to hear him sing about raping someone. that’s just not okay. if he was advocating for murder it’d be bad too, no? a good example is Papa, that’s a wonderful song about child abuse and why it’s bad. i wouldn’t “censor” something like that. but that line about rape is just not cool.

Interesting. I'm torn. have a decent copy of the original already, but this is very well done. I suppose back in 1982 if this had been released, the rape reference, It would still have been shocking, but also mad as hell too for my 12 year old brain. I'm sure me and my friends would have been like "listen to this!". I mostly always found his sex references humorous and playful for the most part, but this was obviously always just a bit much. Great job on the edit even if I normally disagree with edits to art.

Extralovable & Lust U Always were supposed to be on the 1999 super deluxe edition but pulled at the last minute and replaced with 1999 tour medley rehearsal recording because they thought Prince would get cancelled by the woke mob due to the "rape" lyrics in both songs.

Amazing work here. Cleanest version I’ve ever heard this song. Any chance you could give a go at making a cleaner mix of just my imagination. Know it’s a live song but always felt like vocals are so low in that. Sorry if requests aren’t usually accepted but Ur quality work is appreciated either way

Why couldn't they have just edited out the "offensive" lyrics and included Lust U Always & Extraloveable on the 1999 super deluxe edition? They were so scared of Prince being being cancelled by the woke mob they decided not to include these 2 great songs at all.

I have not accused him of anything, I am just trying to make the track more tasteful to a general audience (as well as not destroying my RU-vid channel over a distasteful lyric). I still listen to the original over this edit, it’s just for my RU-vid.

Only thing I did with this track was just remove the vocal, nothing else. The edit was done by stretching out the “lu” in “lust” and fading it into the “pe” from the other word. So he isn’t saying Love, he’s saying lope 😂

Are you anti-First Amendment/freedom of speech or something? I'm assuming that you are Irish and not an American but the simple fact that you're also a musician should have been enough reason not to censor another musician's work, especially an extraordinary musician like Prince. Anyway, good work on the sound but your censorship ruins it and shows a lack of respect.

It’s for the channel, not for myself, I’m thinking of what I do with the channel as radio edits if you get me. In my discord I’ve uploaded my remaster of extralovable onto a Google drive, with both uncensored and censored versions as I prefer listening to the uncensored versions of these tracks, I completely agree with your statement.
