I have a 01 1.8t quattro Audi A4 and I want to do a swap. I found a 97 a4 quattro 2.8 engine would I be able to do this swap???

Any tips on torquing the crank bolt with the engine out like this? How do you hold the engine down while trying to torque to 140ftlb (IIRC) +180? Ive got a monster 3/4 40 inch breaker bar and a cheater (floor jack handle) that I will be using. But thats a lot of leverage and to far for a guy like me to counter-hold the engine down while torquing. Also, do you use the crank lock pin to hold the crank while doing this?

Looking for a Audi mechanic in Maryland who wouldn’t mind helping with a garage rebuild for my B6 S4. Work will include an engine swap, JHM LT headers, VF Engr. supercharger and JGM upgraded Timing Chain Kit. Reinstall of LaBree DP-CB, APR CAI, JHM intake spacers. Any leads?

Does anybody know about a shop in eastern Pennsylvania where I could bring my a4 b6 avant to do this swap?, I have a 2001 a6 2.7t 6 speed, I bought it for that intention, but don't know where to bring it too.

Which transmission did you use? The a4 or the s4?

Are you Canada or US based ? Im looking for someone to Build my 2.7T from a C5 Allroad into a Stage 3 ... I have no Idea who can do it for me Here in Winnipeg -- The car is running and I will bring it to whomever can offer a total solution.

Thorough. Kinda scarey. Really making me think buying an old b5 s4 and using it for a rally car is a frightening motor to go with, might be easier to use a 2.0t a4
